Welcome back, darlings! There's plenty more fairy tale finery to admire inside the halls of the Marriott Columbia! This time, we are wrapping up the wedding festivities of Nidah & Brian with a dazzling reception party designed and executed by Red and Gold Events. And it is no surprise that it turned out to be this amazing as this fantastic team overflows talent and expertise in making dreamy events come to life. Events Instyle by Beenish took care of the overall decor, incorporating soft-colored floral arrangements from Garlands by Yasmeen that everyone loved. All the guests had a great time dancing to the rhythm of upbeat melodies played by DJ Sahib from GTB Productions and tasting the delicious plates prepared by Kabab Hut. MNK Photography snapped shots from every angle to portray the beauty of this event, and the photos are so good that we almost feel like if we were there. In between dancing, alluring decor, and delicious food, the night was coming to an end, but not before having a bite of the sweet cake by Nonnah’s. Without any question, this was a night to remember! How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
I met Brian while I was in school and we had an instant connection. I knew he was the one after getting to know him a little better and realizing how genuine and caring of a person he is!
Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
Brian and I planned a trip to New York City to celebrate New Year’s. I thought it was just a simple trip to meet up with friends and have a good time, however, he took me to Central Park and flew my whole family out and proposed to me on New Year’s eve with all our loved ones there. It was a huge surprise and so special!
Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
My mom was a huge help during the planning process, she knew all the well-known vendors and right people to choose. We knew of a lot of good vendors from previous weddings that we have attended, and we live near Atlanta so there are a good bit of amazing vendors to choose from there!
How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
We live in America but we knew we wanted to have a dress custom-made from Pakistan, and we searched for a designer for a couple months through suggestions from family friends and through social media, and finally decided on Samsara Couture House! I knew from the beginning I wanted my reception dress to be a muted rosy pink color!
What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
The most enjoyable part of the wedding planning process was being able to work with my mom as mother and daughter to be able to make our visions of my wedding come to life! It was such a special bonding experience to be able to share that with my mom
What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
I believe the guests enjoyed everything from the food to the decor, but I believe what they enjoyed the most was that everybody was having a wonderful time (especially on the dance floor) and there was so much fun energy in the room that everybody could feel!
Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
I loved every aspect of my wedding, but one moment that really stood out was when Brian and I exchanged our rings and said our vows to each other, and how everyone in the room felt the love and was emotional.
For events other than your ceremony, please tell us as much as you would like about the decor, style, dances, and all the special details.
For the Mehndi and Nikah ceremony, we had specific visions in mind and Beenish from events in style by Beenish really made that come to life! The mehndi night was colorful and vibrant and we had plenty of dance performances, some of which I even took part in! There was so much energy that night and everybody was having an amazing time! For the Nikah ceremony we wanted to keep it subtle and pretty, with light soft colors and flowers that really captured the beauty of the ceremony.
Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
One thing that I would really emphasize and stress is that ultimately your wedding day will go by so fast, so for me a lot of the enjoyment was actually the planning process. Don’t get too stressed out and actually remember to enjoy all the planning and months leading up to your wedding, because that’s an experience in itself. Also it is a huge benefit to have a wedding coordinator, it takes so much stress off the day of the wedding and the members of the wedding party can actually sit back and enjoy the event!

Everything came together beautifully and we are so thankful to work with such amazing vendors who have become like family to us. Everything was a huge hit from the cake to the food to the decor and our outfits!
