Come join us, ladies! We are heading off to the exclusive Hilton St. Louis Airport to enjoy Sheena & Mihir's wedding ceremony. After a joyful and vibrant Baraat animated by the talented folks from JSM Entertainment, it was time for these lovebirds to join their lives in marriage. Prashe Decor created a magical and soothing decor that added an extra touch of flair and glam to this grand event. The way they combined delicate floral arrangements with green and golden hues got us utterly impressed! Sheena overtook the scene once she walked down the aisle dressed in her gorgeous red lengha, very well complemented with the on-point makeup by Devine Makeup Artistry. And we want to make a big shoutout to Astrid Johana Photography for the remarkable shots snapped during this ceremony. Each photograph is a visual delight that makes you feel as if you were there. Don't miss any detail of this grand event by taking a look at our full gallery. It is a visual treat that you don't want to miss!
Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
I've always liked very simple and elegant styles, so that is how I went about planning all aspects of our wedding. From our outfits to the decor, I knew I wanted a timeless simplicity with a touch of glam.
I was very lucky in that I had my parents and sister plan all aspects of the wedding for us. They are expert planners especially since my sister had gotten married before me and knew the ropes of wedding planning. Everything was handled amazingly by my parents, siblings, and family. They took care of every single detail for us.
What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
The best part about planning the wedding was seeing how my family came together to make sure we had the best weekend ever. I was actually able to relax during the planning process knowing that everything was going to be perfect with their organization and attention to detail.
What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
Even though I didn't hire a wedding planner for my wedding, I was lucky to have an amazing group of family and friends to coordinate everything the day of and make sure every single detail flowed smoothly. One of the best compliments we got about the weekend was how easy and stress-free the events were. The guests also seemed to love the food selection, so we were very lucky to have great caterers who kept everyone full and happy.
Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
Walking down the aisle with my dad and maternal uncle (mama). It was so special to have them by my side and be surrounded by our family and friends as I walked to the mandap.
Another really special moment was when my siblings, every single cousin who attended the wedding and my husband surprised me with a dance at the reception. Most of my cousins have never danced at a wedding, so to see them participate and put in that effort for me was suc h a special moment.
Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
Really enjoy the moment. The entire wedding week and weekend goes by so fast and can be overwhelming, so take it all in, try not to stress, and just enjoy yourself. I would also remind brides-to-be that this is your wedding day, so it is okay to do what you want/what makes you happy, and not worry about pleasing everyone.
It is time to celebrate, so don't miss the reception party that is coming your way!
