Hello, ladies! We are wrapping up Preyasha & Vikram's wedding festivities with a fantastic reception party held at the Landsdowne Resort. Right from the start, this gala was sensational thanks to the decor crafted by Dharma Events. The beautiful floral arrangements and the delicate placement of all the ornaments set the mood for this elegant and vibrant event. DynastyAV enlivened the night with upbeat melodies that put everyone to dance, and with a fantastic scheme of lights that took this party to the next level! Everyone had a great time while dancing and tasting the delicious plates that Indique Heights Catering prepared for this reception party. The gala was so amazing that all the guests wanted to take a picture inside Shayan Fotography's photo booth to keep a memory! In between dancing, chatting, and emotions, the night was coming to an end. But there was still time to share a piece of the delicious three-story cake that Watergate Pastries prepared for the occasion! If you can't get enough of this fantastic event, you'll be thrilled to know that Photos By Ayesha helped us put together an awesome gallery containing incredible shots of this reception! So go check it out!
How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
We met on shaadi.com, I felt like I knew about two to three months into the relationship. I knew after he would make me chicken curry and was by my side during my medical licensing exams. It has always been so easy being with him. We are inherently compatible and always willing to compromise to meet each other halfway.
Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
I nagged him and fought with him for years for a proposal. We dated about 4 years before we got engaged. After nagging him for 3 years I had given up. We went to an all-inclusive in Jamaica and he convinced me to wear something nice to this French restaurant. Even though I just wanted a lazy evening, I dressed up and we headed to dinner. He insisted on getting a photographer to take our photos on the beach. I was convinced the photographer was a sales gimmick and tried to convince Vik out of it. I tried to take selfies and was wondering why he was sweating bullets. At sunset, we are doing different poses for the photographer and he gets down on one knee and says, “since I’m in this position will you marry me.” I'm shocked and start giggling and manage to muster up “are you serious?” We have a private dinner at the beach and the Iberostar in Jamaica was amazing.

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
There is a moment when I was walking down the aisle and both Vik and I shared a moment. We were both tearful because only we knew the journey we had taken and all the adventures and setbacks we had been to get to this place. Vik is my person and I was grateful to be marrying someone that not only loves me but challenges me to grow.
For events other than your ceremony, please tell us as much as you would like about the decor, style, dances, and all the special details.
Decor- really focused on gold/white/peach and pastels
Dances- for Sangeet boys did a medley which was a mix of Tamil/Hindi and Indian sounds which were amazing.
Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
The wedding is only one day regardless of what happens, what really matters the most is you marry someone who gets you.
We hope you have a great weekend, ladies! See you on Monday!
