Hello, Maharanis! We are so happy you could make it to Anisha & Kevin's reception party. By now, we can all agree that this love story has exceeded all expectations, and the reception party held at the Fort Lauderdale Marriott Coral Springs Hotel Golf Club & Convention Center is no exception! So let's jump right into it! Right of the bat, we have to say that this gala was off the charts thanks to the fantastic conceptualization and design done by Tewari Productions. And we are also impressed by the on-point decor, and the scheme of lights Anand Event Services put together for this closing event. To turn this gala into a party, DJ Varun Tewari played the most vibrant Bollywood hits to set the dance floor on fire! All the guests had a great time while dancing and tasting the delicious food prepared by Tanjore right before having a bite at the sweet cake baked by Eddas Cake Designs. And we want to make a special shoutout to South Florida wedding photographer, Lara Rose Photography for the fantastic shots captured, as it is thanks to those shots that we get to relive this fabulous love story. If you were captivated by the beauty and charm surrounding this magical story, and you want to get more details of this celebration, don't miss the gallery that we have prepared for today! You'll love it!

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
Kevin and I met each other in 2009 during our freshman year at Penn State University. We were introduced through one of our good friends. The next thing we knew, we were spending almost every day together, scheduling classes together, going to football games, study dates on the weekends and eventually we became best friends. He asked me out in 2013 and we were in a long distance relationship until I finally moved in with him in 2018! I don't really feel like there was one defining moment where I knew for sure that I was in love with Kevin. It's been just a multitude of things/moments that made me sure of my feelings for Kev. Even though we've had our fair share of struggles, our relationship has always felt easy for me because Kevin has always put me first in his life and made me a priority. He has always made me feel like I can be my silly self around him 24/7! He has been the most supportive partner I could have asked for and he was my best cheerleader during Physician Assistant school. He made me feel that I could grow into my own person and yet still be with him and that made me fall in love with him more and more each day. It's easy to give up in a long distance relationship but his constant effort to keep communication up and count down days till we next saw each other made me so happy and loved. Most of all, he makes it a point to be close to my family which has always been so important to me. The respect and care he gives to my parents and brother is so nice to see and I know my family loves him for that. Saying goodbye to him when we graduated Penn State (when we were still just friends) was probably the hardest thing I have ever had to do and knowing that I would probably never see him again was when I was so sure I wanted to be with him always. He was and is my best friend and I couldn't picture life without him.

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
I was still in PA school at the time in Oakland, California so I went to visit him in San Diego on a weekend. Our first date was at Sunset Cliffs in San Diego and on Friday the 13th (4/13/17) he wanted to take me back to Sunset Cliffs for a date. We started the day off by going to his work together. He was beyond nervous and was pacing back and forth in his office. I asked him what was wrong and he attributed it to the meeting he was going to have with his boss later that afternoon (I totally believed him!!). Later that evening, we packed up some snacks in his backpack and headed over to Sunset Cliffs. We strolled the spot hand in hand waiting for the sunset. He told me I was beautiful and the best friend he could've hoped for. He asked me if I wanted to have a snack while we waited for the sun to go down and I said yes! So he got behind me, took his back pack off and he called out my name. I turned around and he was on one knee asking me to marry him. I was so emotionally overwhelmed and felt paralyzed at that moment. I said yes and it was by far the best decision of my life.

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
I did quite a bit of research for my bridal lehenga and my wedding dress. I had saved tons of ideas on a pinterest board and instagram. I ended up getting my bridal lehenga from "Pooja Sarees" in Ambala. As for the white dress, I had picked out a few options online but I went into "Luv Bridal" in San Diego knowing the one dress I absolutely had to try on. Of course as soon as I tried it on, I fell in love with it.

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
I always knew I wanted to go back to India to hand pick all my outfits, jewelry, etc. Going with my mother just made it that much more special. She played such a great role in helping me pick out everything from my bridal lehenga, the jewelry, bridal heels, to my mehendi and haldi outfits. She made planning more emotional than I thought it would be and it gave us a chance to spend a little extra time together before I got married

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
The Mehendi was hosted at my parents house two days before the wedding. I sat down next to my mehendi artist with my arms out, my family was playing "Mehendi Hai Rachne Wali" from the movie Zubeida and the next thing I knew tears were rolling down my face. Getting the mehendi on my hands felt so symbolic of the beautiful stage of my life that I was about to embark on. The other extremely memorable moment for me was being escorted by my four brothers to the mandap during the Hindu ceremony surrounded by all our family and friends. Kevin and I looked at each other and we were so ready to start the rest of our lives together.

Enjoy the rest of your day, ladies! See you tomorrow!
