Happy Tuesday, beautiful Maharanis! As always, we are back to amaze you with a new lovely, and romantic story. Today, we are more than glad to share with you all the insights into Saras & Jeff's fusion wedding celebration. Right from the start, we have to say that fusion weddings have a special place in our hearts. Maybe it is the beauty of seeing two different backgrounds and cultures mingle together into one single unity through love, we don't know, but we love them to the brim. For this installment, Twisted Oaks Studio is taking us on a visual journey through the "Getting ready" process of our gorgeous Maharani, leading to a romantic and intimate first look photoshoot that got us sighing! Every single shot is a visual masterpiece that narrates the beginning of this everlasting love story, and we feel lucky for being able to take part in it! After being pampered by top-notch wedding experts, Saras sneaked out to surprise Jeff, who couldn't take his eyes off of her. She looked ravishing like all Maharanis want to look for their big day, and we cannot stress how much we loved her bridal fashion choices! Hands down, this was the best way to start their big day, and we are confident that this photoshoot will have a special place in Saras & Jeff's hearts. It is the best way to prepare for the upcoming wedding ceremony thoroughly planned by Kaleidoscope Weddings and held inside the halls of The Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts. Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
My proposal was absolutely the cutest thing!  Since I am originally from Tampa, Florida (I am a true Floridian and love my state), Jeff knew it would be important for me to get engaged at home.  In addition to that he chose one of my favorite locations (which is the beach) with our most precious little Nico.  I could tell that he was acting a bit nervous when we were walking on the beach and it become more apparent when he had to take random pictures near a lifeguard stand until he got on one knee.  Perfect day!

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
To start the planning process, I did a lot of research online.  This was a very busy time in my life as I was completing my last year in fellowship so I tried to do as much as possible during random times.  In regard to our venue, we had a number on our list but as soon as we walked into the Kimmel Center in Philadelphia, PA (Hamilton Roof Top Garden) we knew that it was the perfect venue for us!  It had an amazing view:)  I am also so pleased to have had the opportunity to work with amazing people that made the wedding so special.  I cannot thank enough Beauty by Archana/Jassi for my beautiful hair, Mandaps by Dhoom for a beautiful set up for the ceremony, and DJ Ravi Jackson for the can't miss Baraat.  In addition, my wedding photos (Twisted Oaks) and videographer (Fiore Films) are the best in the business.  We had the Bachelor Boy's for our band and it was such a fun time on the dance floor and we highly recommend them for any wedding!!!!  Thank you Jennifer at Kaleidoscope Weddings for coordinating everything on such a busy day.

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
For my wedding, I decided to have a traditional South Indian Sari for the Indian ceremony and then a white dress for the reception.  Since I was planning my wedding during a busy time in my professional career, I was lucky that my dad and youngest brother were able to go to India and pick out the fabric and colors (gold, red and green) and then tailor them according the bridal party's specifications.  Since the wedding was in the summer, I really wanted to have a good color scheme for my bridesmaids and groomsmen.  The color that I ended up choosing was glacier and I think everyone looked amazing.

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
Our wedding guests absolutely loved the Baratt and the Indian ceremony.  Since it was a fusion wedding, some of the guests had never been to a wedding with Indian components before.  They had an amazing experience witnessing the prayers and rituals that were performed for the ceremony in addition to seeing a fun filled Baraat with plenty of dancing!!  In addition, we had Alicia Finger for Live Event Painting.  During the ceremony, she depicted us during our first dance and it was absolutely amazing.  It captured us perfectly and the guests enjoyed watching her and the painting unfold!

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
I would say the most special moment in the wedding was having my mom and dad walk me down that aisle towards the Mandap.  I know this is one of my dad's proudest moments and it made me so happy to see the joy in his eyes (and my mom as well) throughout the night.  It was very important for him to have an Indian component to the wedding in addition to having my bothers involved.  A family moment that will never be forgotten.  The other special thing for me was having a table dedicated to past loved ones on both sides of the family.

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
The best words that I can say is to cherish your wedding day because it will go by so fast (with a blink of the eye).  Enjoy the moment with your family and friends because this is truly a celebration for all involved.

More coming in a bit!
