How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
It was summer of 2011 when Ketul and I first saw each other via a video conference with some mutual friends. Immediately after that video call Ketul sent me a friend request on Facebook and we started to talk and hangout. A year later I asked him to be my boyfriend but at that time he was not very fond of the idea of giving our relationship any labels. However, soon after he came around and we started dating in September of 2012. He would always treat me with kindness and generosity. Being with him felt like I was home! That's when I knew he was "the one."

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
5 years into our relationship, Ketul had planned few weekends of amazing surprises. First, he took me on a helicopter ride of New York/ New Jersey during sunset and we saw some breathtaking views! The following weekend Ketul delivered a package that had a beautiful red dress (the box said "I Love You" in 10 different languages!) and a note saying to be ready by 12:30pm. I quickly got dressed and we went into the city for lunch. After lunch, Ketul told me that we have to catch a ferry as we are doing New York sightseeing boat tour. When we got to the pier, I soon saw a boat approaching towards where we were standing. Little did I know, some of our friends were already on the boat, holding a banner that said "Baku (My dear), Will You Marry me?" It was so romantic! We were surrounded by our friends and family who stood by us throughout the wedding planning!

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
Red is my favorite color and I knew my wedding dress had to be red! I went to the same shop, Amurt, in Surat (India) where I had found my engagement outfit. I knew I would find my wedding dress there as well. With so many different choices, I had my husband help me pick my outfit!

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
We did not hire a wedding planner and decided to do it all ourselves. Meeting all the vendors and seeing how our dream wedding was coming together was the best part of the planning process.

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
Our guests loved everything about our wedding! The venue, decor, our outfits, but the one thing that they still rave about is the food!

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
I had tears in my eyes as I was reading a note that I wrote to my husband. I realized we will soon begin the next chapter in our lives and I will be spending this journey of lifetime with my best friend!

Another special moment was our first dance as husband and wife! I had choreographed our first dance and we had rehearsed it many times but dancing under the lights and the fog machine during the reception was truly magical!

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
Wedding stress is real! But remember to have fun throughout the process. It all works out at the end!

Anything else you want to tell us? We'd love to hear all about your other details!
Being a henna artist myself, I had designed my own bridal henna and my henna artist did an amazing job on capturing every little detail with her personal touch.

It was raining heavily all day during our wedding and I was really upset that we will not be able to take bride and groom portraits outside our beautiful venue. However, our photographer was creative enough to take all the bridal portraits and couple portraits inside the venue that he never missed an opportunity to capture that perfect moment!

That is all for today, darlings. See you tomorrow for more!
