Happy Friday, ladies! Let's end your week with a boost of inspiration with the fascinating story from Prianka & Amit's big day. This tale begins with our Maharani's Sangeet celebrated at Jorgensen Farms, a charming organic farm and events facility that provides luscious farm-fresh meals, impeccable home-grown floral design, and delectable organic fruit, all for their guests' enjoyment! Our couple decided that Hilton Easton was the ideal place for their ceremony and reception with its lively venues and luxurious facade, making a magical experience possible for our sweethearts. The scene couldn't be complete without some splendid backdrop. The design, the flower decor, and the incredible lighting were customized entirely for our beautiful lovebirds by B3 Event Management. I am sure you'll be as amazed as I was when I first saw it! And now, my darlings, my favorite part. It is time to admire our Maharani's gorgeous look! Her two attires for the evening were completely different but just as lovely. My dears, let me tell you about the final touch that made our bride look like an enchanting queen. I am talking about the delicate Mehndi art done by the exceptional Henna by Sangeeta. And Amit's sherwani? Breathtaking! It was classic and refined, perfect for the event. I adore the colors and the feelings they brought. The cheerful atmosphere was kept throughout the whole celebration, thanks to DJ Samir Crowne Entertainment, delighting the guest with the finest entertainment and ensuring a memorable evening. Yours Truly Media outdid themselves with these phenomenal pictures, successfully capturing the feeling in each one of them. Maharanis, let me tell you that Prianka & Amit's big day is an adorable story full of love and moments to remember forever. You can catch a glimpse of it in this jaw-dropping gallery available for you to feel the romance.
How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
We met in a very millennial way- online! I lived in Columbus and he lived in Chicago. The love and care Amit has for his friends, family and even random strangers is amazing! I don’t think he has met a person who hasn’t become a friend.
Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
Amit enjoys photography and he was planning on taking me to Diversey Harbor to have a fun photography “lesson”. Instead, the lesson became a proposal at his favorite place in Chicago. The entire moment was documented as a friend was hiding nearby taking pictures of the special moment.
Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
As someone who is in the industry, I did have a vision for my Sangeet & Wedding. My Sangeet vision came to life courtesy B3 Events. I wanted to accomplish a farmhouse rustic feel with an Indian touch. My ceremony and reception were the perfect touches of traditional touches with a contemporary feel.
How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
I knew I wanted to wear traditional red for my bridal lengha and was very happy with my outfit. My Sangeet outfit was a dream Payal Singhal outfit that was fun and colorful - perfect for the backdrop.
What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
When you plan a big wedding, and during a pandemic, having your vision come to life is beyond amazing. I loved being able to work with a blank canvas and having the freedom to experiment with colors, textures and a wide variety of decor. But I learned my taste is - less is more!
What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
If anyone left our wedding hungry, then they didn’t do the weekend right! My parents were adamant about offering several cuisines so that everyone had something they really loved. Being Punjabi that was their number one concern! We had traditional stations, and some local favorites too. Buckeye donuts and s’mores station for the Sangeet and Rime Time popsicles during the Baraat were a hit! Everyone told me they ate well, danced, and felt the love in the air. What more could you want?!
Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
Our first look will always be special to me. A moment to ourselves before the big day ahead.
Our wedding was during a time when there were so many unknowns and we wanted our guests first and foremost to feel comfortable and safe. Seeing family and friends seeing each other after a long time just made me so happy. I’m glad an occasion like this brought so much joy to our loved ones.
For events other than your ceremony, please tell us as much as you would like about the decor, style, dances, and all the special details.
It’s all in the details for me and making the wedding personal. We had pictures of memorable moments of each other, friends, and family displayed throughout the weekend.
Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
You don’t have to do it all! Remember to ask for help when you need it. On your wedding day, try your best to live in the moment and take it all in.
Anything else you want to tell us? We'd love to hear all about your other details! (jewelry, mehndi, venue, cake, bouquets, etc.)
My groom opted out of the traditional horse Baraat entry. Instead, he entered in a DeLorean! A crowd favorite!
That's a wrap for today, sweeties. I hope you have a fantastic weekend!
