Good day, beautiful Maharanis! It is great to be back on Monday with a new love story for you. We will join our two love birds, Aruba & Uzair's Pakistani nuptial celebration. This incredible journey started with a colorful Mehndi ceremony with the couple's closest friends and family. The ceremony wedding was celebrated at the beautiful Islamic Society of Sarasota Bradenton, where Aruba looked dazzling by wearing a golden-red outfit selected with the help of Umsha and exquisite makeup matching it thanks to the outstanding job of Makeup by Aamna. This magnificent attire definitely highlighted our lovely bride's delicate and natural beauty. The happy groom could not contain his tears when he saw her for the first time, and thanks to the fantastic captures of Andrew Do Photography, we can look at these unforgettable moments and get sentimental too. As for the reception party, it is almost impossible to describe such a unique atmosphere. This couple's love and happiness filled the ambiance, and the guests enjoyed the rhythm of Echobell Events mixes. We can't deny that Dreams to Reality achieved an elegant and stylish design throughout the event, with such memorable stages so that you can take inspiration from them. Once again, we have no doubt this luxury celebration has drawn a smile to your face while scrolling this page, so get ready to dive into Aruba & Uzair's magical celebration, and don't miss the gallery we have prepared for you. You'll be captivated by it!
How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
We met in 2019. I knew he was the one when he became the first one I wanted to tell anything to, good or bad. We started out as friends talking about school and the relationship grew until he became “my person”.
Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
We actually had a traditional engagement party instead of a proposal. His sisters put together the cutest event, matching our outfits and he surprised me with the ring I loved!
Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
Wedding planning was hard! We were both in school at the time. We brought on a wedding planner -eventisme- who literally put together our wedding the way we envisioned. She worked with all the vendors and during the day of I only had to worry about myself. She worked with the decor team to put together our selected themes. Romantic pink for the baraat and starry night for the walima. My hair and makeup artist was great. I didn’t really have an entire vision but when she saw my outfits she put together my final looks. Andrew my photographer was amazing and made sure to capture every moment. Thanks to our wedding planner everything ran smoothly during our events. She took care of all the hiccups
How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
My mom actually went to Pakistan to pick out my wedding lengha. We had the designer Umsha by uzma baber in mind for my baraat outfit. I was still in school so I couldn’t make the trip. Umsha was great in video chatting me and talking me through all the options on video. My mom and I both fell in love with one of her non traditional outfits, a rose gold lengha choli with red accents. She also worked me with me to custom make my mehndi outfit.
What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
I would have to say working and talking with my wedding planner. Any apprehensions or stresses I had she took care of. Seeing all my outfits come in was exciting as well!
What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
They definitely loved the food. We worked really hard with our caterer to provide the most diverse but authentic Pakistani cuisine for both days, the baraat and the walima. We had several tasting and meeting to go over the menu. And overall it came together so well!
Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
On the walima day my wedding planner organized a first dance for uzair and I and that was really special. I felt like I could finally breath now that the evens were done. It was a friendly and intimate moment that uzair and I were able to share before the event and the dance floor opened!
For events other than your ceremony, please tell us as much as you would like about the decor, style, dances, and all the special details.
We had our nikkah, a religious ceremony at the mosque my parents helped build. It was really important to me to have it there and have an intimate event before all the festivities. It was very special.
Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
Wedding planning is so stressful and sometimes it takes the joy out of getting married. But just remember to enjoy the process the good and the bad. It will all come together the way it should in the end.
Anything else you want to tell us? We'd love to hear all about your other details! (jewelry, mehndi, venue, cake, bouquets, etc.)
My bouquet and all our flower hars and bracelets were made a close family friend. It was extra special since she put it together herself.
My jewelry!! The day of my mehndi my earring broke!! We didn’t have anything to fix in time so my makeup artists covered my ear with my braid and lots of flowers!! Thankfully no one noticed.
Thanks for joining us today. Remember to come back here to be updated on new love stories!
