Maharanis! A lovely Ismaili micro wedding is today's feature, and we are thrilled to unveil everything related to this intimate affair. Faisal proposed with a single red rose to Sheliza and whisked her off to a cooking class. How lovely is that? Then, the pandemic loomed again, so the Toronto-based couple had to plan their traditional wedding ceremony around only ten people! Despite the restrictions, Samantha Ong Photography captured the pair beautifully around the pedestrian-only Distillery District and at the picturesque Kew Gardens Park. The ceremony took place almost behind closed doors at Scarborough Ismaili Jamatkhana; however, this fantastic photo team captured truly magical and discreet photos from outside. How creative! Maharani Sheliza achieved an ethereal and pristine look by wearing a traditional white lehenga set designed with delicate embroidery work by Frontier Heritage and a pink sash. I love the sentiments behind each of the bride's jewelry pieces. Her gold necklace is a gift from her mother, her earrings were a childhood gift from her grandfather, and her wedding ring was crafted using diamonds from her mother's wedding ring! Despite having a small intimate ceremony, Sheliza and Faisal had extra love all around. They had many of their best friends by their side beforehand and during their photoshoots. The bride's entourage looked adorable, complimenting Sheliza in dazzling ensembles. They all held the prettiest bouquets with roses, sprays, and hydrangeas in a chic color palette provided by Berries and Blooms. At the same time, groomsmen matched Raja Faisal in stylish blue suits and brown shoes! They all took the Navy-blue suit look to the next level! The result of this day was an intimate, up close, and personal union, but above all, it was about the couple's happiness!
