Hello, sweethearts! At the Chase Center on the Riverfront, Maitri & Jeneel's wedding was a picturesque celebration straight from the pages of a fairy tale. It provided a breathtaking backdrop for their union, brilliantly fusing the rich history of Wilmington with modern aesthetics. Nirali Decor brought to life a dreamy panorama where the delicate florals whispered tales of age-old romance. Maitri's intricate mehndi, by Aneeta Nashad, was a testament to the deep-rooted traditions. Arfana Jasar created the bride's ethereal glow that inspired sonnets and ballads. Maitri chose an opulent piece from Asopalav, making every step she took seem like a dance of celestial beings. Her shimmering jewelry from Vrudev complemented the attire. Every moment was frozen in time by the masterful lens of the House Of Talent Studio. With their genius, an award-winning filmmaker, and a seasoned wedding photographer, every frame was more than just a photograph—it was a story, a cherished memory. As the night approached, the air was filled with euphoria, partly because of the mouthwatering delicacies provided by Chowpatty and the electrifying beats and lighting scheme of Allure DJs. Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
Jeneel proposed to me on August 7, 2021, in the center city of Philadelphia, overlooking the most beautiful skyline of the city. Jeneel told me that we were meeting friends for drinks and dinner in the city. I was coming with my brother and sister-in-law from Delaware, and my brother needed to drop us off a few blocks early until all our friends arrived at the proposed location. Because of this, my SIL pretended to be sick and told me she was having horrible motion sickness, so she needed to get out of the car. I believed her and got out of the car, and we started walking towards the proposal spot. As we got closer, I saw Jeneel dressed up in a navy blue suit next to a big sign that said, "Will you Marry me, Maitri?" I immediately started crying in tears of happiness, and the rest of the night was beautiful as we celebrated with our closest friends.
How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
I always envisioned myself wearing a shade of red on my wedding day. Jeneel and I traveled to India for our wedding shopping. It took me a few days to find the right shade of red that I envisioned myself wearing, but eventually, I found a perfect red color bridal lehenga that I fell in love with.
What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
My wedding was an experience that included entertainment, multiple live food stations, and an open layout concept that allowed the guests to mingle with one another. The planning, the execution of events on time, and the food were some of the highlights that our guests continued to rave about.
Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
The highlight of our wedding weekend was seeing all of our loved ones from various corners of our lives- friends, cousins, family members, co-workers, and more, all coming together in a single place to celebrate us. We distinctly remember being overwhelmed with a profound sense of appreciation and love as we celebrated alongside each and every one of them.
Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
Enjoy the wedding weekend because it'll fly by in the blink of an eye! Plan your wedding the way you envision it, not the way others think it should be. The most important part is to enjoy the weekend that you have worked so hard to plan; don't worry about the small details or mishaps that may happen. When the night comes to an end, and you look around the room and feel the love surrounding you, nothing else will matter!
What a lovely feature, darlings! Until next time, sweet dreams and romantic musings await.
