How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
Our love story is a tale as old as time. We have known each other for more than 15 years, but our storybook love started in March 2014 when we went on our very first date. It's our most memorable date with feelings ranging from shyness to realizing how happy we make each other. It began with going to the watch Need for Speed, a movie we both looked forward to watching. From there, we went to grab dinner at P.F. Chang's, where we had the most unforgettable experience.
To start off, we were offered a circular table that sat 6 people.
We both felt very awkward and shy because we did not know where to sit, so we quietly made ourselves comfortable furthest away from each other.
After ordering and receiving our meals, Jignesh closely observed me.
He noticed I was not eating the noodles, rather I was playing with them using my fork. This created a great conversation where Jignesh got to learn about my picky eating habits.
Likewise, I learned about Jignesh’s picky eating habits that night. As the night went on, we realized how similar, compatible, and likeminded we were. This is when I knew, he was the one!
Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
As I completed my MBA, Jignesh told me he wanted to take me on a trip to celebrate and we ended up going to Banff, Alberta. He was thoughtful and planned out the entire trip. The morning of the proposal, he booked himself a massage. Since I don’t enjoy massages, he booked me a manicure appointment. From there, we left to take a helicopter ride. There were a couple other people on the helicopter ride so I didn’t think too much into it. Little did I know they were the photographer and videographer that Jignesh has been in contact with! When we landed on top of the mountain, I was taking in the breathtaking view and asked the photographer to take a picture of me and Jignesh. As I handed her my phone, Jignesh got down on one knee and proposed with my dream Tiffany ring! It was so magical, emotional, and just perfect. I got my winter wonderland proposal I always dreamed of since I was a little girl.
Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
Our overall experience with wedding planning was amazing. We had terrific vendors who listened to exactly what we wanted and brought our vision to life. The day of the wedding, our vendors pulled through for us and we had the most breathtaking wedding.
We met with our vendors often - especially as the wedding got closer. We shared all details with our wedding planner so we didn’t have to stress the day of. We worked closely with our venue manager who was extremely helpful and made our day go smoothly. We couldn’t have asked for better vendors!
How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
Unlike many brides, I decided to wear my Groom’s favorite color - green. I always knew I didn’t want to wear the traditional red color so when I went bridal lengha shopping, I worked with my designer to get the exact vision I had in mind come to life.
What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
Planning our wedding together was the most enjoyable part because we did it together and ensured both of our wants and visions were incorporated in our wedding.
What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
Everyone we spoke to enjoyed our wedding and repetition themes. Also, they enjoyed our food as well. We got so many compliments!
Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
Walking down the aisle and seeing the man I would be spending my life with.
For events other than your ceremony, please tell us as much as you would like about the decor, style, dances, and all the special details.
For our Pithi, I had a decor vision in mind. I explained it to Jignesh and he brought it to life! He loves to wood work so with that passion, he built our Pithi decor exactly the way I wanted!
