Miami, FL Indian Wedding by Sugarfree Studio

Hello, loves! It's time to dive into Archna & Quinn's romantic wedding! The Penthouse at Riverside Wharf was the perfect venue, with breathtaking views and a modern, chic design. Mariane Fahmy from Tres Chic Event Planning was the backbone of the wedding, handling every aspect of the planning and design process with exceptional professionalism and attention to detail. She worked tirelessly to ensure that every part of the wedding was executed perfectly, from the color scheme and decor to the table settings and lighting. She went above and beyond to ensure the wedding reflected the couple's style and personality, creating a truly personalized experience for this couple. Her ability to turn her client's vision into reality is unmatched, and her exceptional service and creativity set them apart in the industry. A Creation by Mario's stunning floral arrangements and mandap made of tropical flowers in soft pink, white, and orange hues added the perfect touch of romance and sophistication, with every bloom perfectly placed to create a visual masterpiece. Archna looked gorgeous in her outfit, with hair and makeup by Dayana Denis that enhanced her natural beauty. The intricate mehndi by Sumaiya Waheed was a true masterpiece. Palace Indian Cuisine's flavorful dishes left guests raving about the food for days, with their expertly prepared and beautifully presented meals. Guests were treated to individual key lime pies and flan, adding a touch of Miami to the dessert table to cap off the evening. DJ Pavan kept the energy high, with guests dancing the night away to his electrifying beats, with his extensive knowledge of music and ability to read the crowd to keep everyone dancing all night long. He seamlessly transitioned between genres and kept the energy high throughout the wedding, ensuring everyone had a great time. Archna & Quinn surprised their guests with a delivery of Cuban sandwiches and empanadas from Versailles, ending the night with a bang. Sugarfree Studio's photography captured every wedding moment, from the joyous moments during the bhangra performance to the laughter-filled reception. Enjoy the gallery below!

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
Quinn and I met online like many modern day couples. Our first date was trivia, where we won best small team. We have continued to go back to the same spot for trivia over the years, and have placed every time we've gone!

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
Quinn proposed at the location of our first hike, which was a memorable experience given that we got lost and ended up climbing up the side of a very steep hill. He felt it represented our relationship, as together we have successfully navigated many ups and downs. He also flew my brother in as a surprise for the weekend and coordinated a celebration with our loved ones upon our return.

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
We had a fairly quick engagement (four months), with three months of active planning. We could not have done it without our wedding planner, Mariane Fahamy. We had actually met with a couple other planners who were very skeptical of finding a venue in the short time period we had. Mariane was confident we could find a great venue and put together a wedding to remember. She helped make our vision a reality, with an amazing penthouse view of downtown Miami. The florals and decorations leaned into our Miami/tropical theme. It also helped that she had coordinated Indian/fusion weddings before, as she was prepared for the nuances of the ceremony.

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
I was lucky enough to go to India with my mom to do our shopping. I was there for less than a week and we fit in shopping in between my cousin's wedding and visiting family. We both love intricate, traditional beadwork and embroidery along with rich jewel tones. My lengha for the reception was navy blue with heavy zardozi work. For the wedding ceremony, I wore two different Kanjivaram sarees-- one was a traditional red and the other turquoise blue. We traveled to Kancheepuram from Chennai and spent 8 hours in the same shop! We got the vast majority of our wedding clothes for our families there.

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
Figuring out ways to personalize the experience, such as creating a trivia game for the welcome dinner, ordering cuban food as a late night snack, and honoring our families with photos of various members at their weddings.

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
Our venue was fairly unique for an Indian wedding-- dancing outside in front of the Miami skyline was pretty magical. Also, for the wedding, my dad roped in my family members into making individual snack boxes with tons of food including individually packaged uttapam to tide people's hunger during the morning ceremony. We also served chiled coconut water during the ceremony to help keep people cool .

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
My dad and I did not choreograph our dance, but it turned out great! Our dance styles are surprisingly aligned.

For events other than your ceremony, please tell us as much as you would like about the decor, style, dances, and all the special details.
Quinn and I surprised our guests with a surprise bhangra performance to a Mi Gente Bhangra remix following our first dance to Etta James' "A Sunday Kind of Love" (we got married on a Sunday).

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
Quinn and I knew it would be hard to get everything we wanted for our wedding. We made a list of all of our preferences and decided on the top 3-4 that we weren't willing to compromise on. That helped us remember our priorities when there were so many decisions to make.

Anything else you want to tell us? We'd love to hear all about your other details! (jewelry, mehndi, venue, cake, bouquets, etc.)
Instead of a cake, we leaned into our Miami setting and had mini key lime pies and individual-sized flan. Instead of a traditional program, we printed the description of the ceremony on the back of a hand fan.

Darlings, I hope you enjoyed today’s entry. Keep coming back for more happy endings and tips!

Hauppauge, NY Fusion Wedding by Channa Photography

We are back, darlings! We are pleased to share Siya & Jay's romantic wedding today. This celebration started with a joyful Baraat led by Rose Events Entertainment. The Radisson Hotel Hauppauge-Long Island was the ideal backdrop for their wedding day. The elegant ballroom and sophisticated amenities perfectly complemented the out-of-this-world floral and decor arrangements created by Simply the Best Creations. They transformed the venue into a dreamy paradise, leaving all the guests in awe. Tum Hi Ho Events took charge of every aspect of the day, ensuring everything ran smoothly, and the couple and their loved ones could fully enjoy and savor each moment. Thanks to the exquisite bridal fashion by Papa Don't Preach by Shubhika, Siya looked stunning on her wedding day. The intricate mehndi design by Henna For All was a work of art that added a touch of elegance to her overall look. Completing her bridal ensemble was her hair and makeup, flawlessly done by Dolled Up by Lulu. The reception party was lively and energetic, with delicious treats, drinks, and entertainment. The catering, by Rajbhog Foods Inc, served up an array of mouth-watering dishes that tantalized the guests' taste buds. The dessert spread by Dortoni Bakery and Café was a sweet sensation, including a fabulous wedding cake that looked and tasted heavenly. Guests could quench their thirst with delicious cocktails provided by 321Chillz and cool off with some delightful ice gola from Ice Gola Express. And let's not forget about the music that kept everyone on their feet, courtesy of Rose Events EntertainmentChanna Photography captured all the special moments and emotions of the day beautifully. The team's keen eye for detail and creativity shone through in every shot, resulting in stunning and memorable images. Their expertise in lighting and composition ensured that every shot was breathtaking and truly captured the essence of the day. With their exceptional skills, they provided Siya & Jay with beautiful and timeless documentation of their wedding day, which they will treasure for years. Enjoy the gallery we have compiled for you. How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
Jay is from South Carolina, and I am from Long Island, NY. He and I met on Dil Mil. Funny enough, we are from the same "Patel" community, but we never knew each other. Our parents knew of each other but never came across one another. After endless texts and calls, Jay flew out to Boston for the weekend at the time, as I was in my senior year of college. We spent the whole weekend together watching Santa Clarita Diet on Netflix (I am not a zombie girl, whatsoever) and a first date night at The Cheesecake Factory, and you're probably thinking, "The Cheesecake Factory?" but there's a meaning behind it -- Jay thought only cheesecakes were sold there so in true Siya fashion, I had to show him otherwise. We laughed about this and decided this was where we would go for the first date. They always say, "You know when it's the one," well, in my case, it held to be true. I instantly knew he was the one after the first date weekend was over.

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
Jay proposed in July 2020, smack in the middle of COVID. We were caged for the past few months due to COVID-19 and wanted to see each other as we had not seen each other in four months. We flipped a coin, quite literally; Jay flipped a coin between Las Vegas and Miami. The coin landed in Miami, and while I was planning to just see my love, Jay had bigger plans up his sleeve. After an afternoon of sightseeing in the sweltering heat, Jay popped the question in the South Pointe Park Pier. I was ready forever!

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
The overall experience of planning the wedding was quite the experience, to say the least. Being the first female to get married on both my mom's and dad's side of the family always comes with perks. I managed to let go of what I could not control but did not compromise on my vendors. We looked at a few venues, but the Radisson in Hauppauge ended up being the best fit for my family due to its proximity to my parent's home. In terms of hair and makeup, I always told Lulu from Dolled Up By Lulu that she would be the one adorning me for my big weekend- and she made it happen, flying out right after a wedding, cross-country, to make it happen! My outfits all came from different regions of India, including my Papa Don't Preach by Shubhika (which they somehow managed to pull off super last minute!) All the designers were easy to work with. My decorations were with no other than the amazing Henriette, who I knew for a while, and I did not want anyone else to decorate my wedding.

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
Funny enough, I initially leaned towards a pink lehenga. However, the one I got married to caught my eye, and I envisioned myself in that lehenga ever since I laid my eyes on it. A fun fact about my lehenga is that the Sanskrit wedding vows are etched into the dupatta.

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
The most enjoyable part of the planning process was working with my husband and my vendors to bring my vision to life. We had a lot of fun ideas, but the vendors made the process super seamless for me, and that was the most enjoyable part for me.

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
To this day, I hear a lot of raves about the food/decor/DJ/HMU/and outfits. Of course, we hear a lot of compliments on the premium alcohol options as well.

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
A really special moment in my wedding that constantly replays in my mind is when I walked up to Jay to do our first look. I remember the butterflies in my stomach to this day. Those are the same butterflies I got when I fell in love with Jay. I will always cherish that feeling.

For events other than your ceremony, please tell us as much as you would like about the decor, style, dances, and all the special details.
The reception itinerary, in particular, receives a lot of compliments and raves from the wedding weekend. The guest felt that the reception was intricately planned, and there was not a single dull moment in sight. There was even a conga line at one point during the reception!

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
Take a deep breath! Before you know it, the wedding weekend will be over, and you will be living with your forever roommate. It's not always flowers and a rainbow, but cherish it, and make sure you get ample rest leading up to the wedding, as you will need it.

Anything else you want to tell us? We'd love to hear all about your other details! (jewelry, mehndi, venue, cake, bouquets, etc.)
My henna was intricately done by Henna for All. Her work is immaculate! My reception cake was pink with cherry blossoms, and it was one of my favorite aspects of the weekend itself.

Thanks for your visit today! Don't forget to be back for more inspirational stories every day.
