Riviera Maya, Mexico Indian Wedding by James & Weddings

Hello Maharanis! Today's wedding story is a beautiful destination soiree that took place on the pristine shores of a Mexican paradise! Manisha and Fayad picked the Riviera Maya for their special getaway and found their dream wedding venue on the top-notch Generations Riviera Maya resort. Thankfully, renowned travel concierge, Indian Destination Weddings, arranged all the details and helped the newlyweds had a full destination wedding experience so they could create fond memories since day one. They also worked incessantly alongside Weddings by Lomas. The brilliant wedding planners were on top of each element and supervised the lighthearted events. The celebrations kicked off with a precious ceremony that took place in the outdoors of the Generations Riviera Maya. The couple's families sat in the open-air amidst the palm trees and witnessed the great entries and the sacred union sealed under a pristine light draped mandap, a beautiful creation of Weddings by Lomas. It was postcard-perfect ceremony scenery! Maharani Manisha achieved a regal look thanks to Alex Corbanezi Beauty & Co. Her bright makeup came out beautifully, as she opted for a cherry lipstick and smokey eyes that completed her three bridal outfits just right. Our lovely bride dressed her bridal party in light green floral lehengas, and they all looked adorable escorting her to the altar! I also loved how Raja Fayad donned a cream color sherwani and an elegant off-white suit for the reception. The couple decided to go with Desi Djs to host and emcee their party. The music pros kept the reception on track for toasts and cake-cutting and ensured all guests to have fun. This celebration was the perfect way for the lovebirds to finish off their wedding spree! James & Weddings traveled down to Mexico with the only goal of documenting this destination wedding in a charming film you can watch just by visiting our feature dedicated to the reel hereThe acclaimed photo team also created the wedding album you can find in our complete gallery, so don't forget to check out.

Riviera Maya, Mexico Indian Wedding by James & Weddings

Hello ladies! There is so much inspiration ready to be unveiled, so I am really happy you could join us to discover together all the wonderful details of today's reel. Manisha and Fayad is the sweet duo that traveled to the tropical shores of the Riviera Maya in Mexico to tie the knot in a destination wedding you need to see to believe. Indian Destination Weddings made all the travel arrangements and also provided the couple and everyone involved with a VIP experience during their special days. Besides having the perfect travel concierge, the lucky lovebirds found Generations Riviera Maya. This luxury spot in the heart of this tropical paradise held their Sangeet night, the exchange of vows, and the joyful reception. James & Weddings beautifully documented the best moments of their getaway in a truly creative film. We are so lucky we are about to enjoy all sweetness and candidness of every scene. So be prepared! I also fell in love with the enchanting outdoor ceremony. A natural backdrop of palm trees surrounded the traditional union, while a flowy fabric mandap harbored the intricate rites. Not to mention the stunning blush pink and white blooms that Weddings by Lomas used to deck the ceremony space. The whole place was pristine and adorable. Maharani Manisha, made a spectacular entrance in a grand Doli wearing an exquisite red lehenga she later swapped for a light pink trousseau. She donned with absolute flair both ensembles and the gorgeous henna designs Loto Mehndhi created for her. After the I Do's Desi Djs announced the newlyweds as husband and wife for the first time and performed an extensive playlist of energetic beats that made all guests danced the night away. Weddings by Lomas provided the perfect wedding planning services ensuring everything Manisha and Fayad dreamed for this moment was on point. Let this splendid destination wedding's film take you to Mexico's Riviera Maya right now. Scroll down and hit play!

Cancun, MX Indian Wedding by Memories Photo Studio

Hello there, Maharanis! Head over to our Platinum Guide Blog to enjoy Bhavina & Roshan's wedding.

photo #312158

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
Roshan and I met in 2015 on a dating app called Dil Mil. We chatted on the app for a few weeks and then decided to meet in person. At the time Roshan was working in Birmingham, AL and I were working in Greenville, SC. We decided to meet in Greenville at a cupcake place called Chocolate Moose. Meeting someone from an app, I was a bit skeptical but once we finally were face to face it was like we couldn't stop talking. We hit it off the moment we saw each other. I knew at that moment that Roshan was "the one" for me!

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
As a child I always envisioned myself wearing a traditional red and gold color bridal lengha. Once I actually got to India and started shopping I realized there are tons of “traditional red and gold” colored lenghas. Going into bridal lengha shopping I knew I didn’t want anything with velvet material. I tried on over 25 bridal lenghas before I was able to find “the one”. At first, I was hesitant to try on anything velvet or with heavy embroidery. But I gave it a shot anyway. As I was trying on the outfit knew it was “the one”.

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
The most enjoyable part of our wedding process was the resort site visits in Cancun, Mexico. We had an idea of the type of resort we wanted but actually visiting them was great. Getting to experience the different themes in the resorts, foods, hospitality, amenities, and venues really helped us put things into perspective for our events. Lastly, we really enjoyed watching a years worth of planning come together as planned and got to enjoy it with family and friends.

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
The moment that plays in my head constantly is when my parents and grandmother (ba) walked me down the aisle the day of my wedding. Having my family walk me down the aisle was something I had always wanted during my wedding. Being able to finally embrace it and live it was amazing.

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
For all of the brides-to-be, I would say enjoy the wedding process. Planning an Indian wedding can be stressful, time-consuming and at times frustrating but enjoy all of the emotions. For myself, I was planning my wedding the day after I got proposed to. I enjoyed having my husband alongside of me the entire way. He was really involved and reminded me to embrace the moments. Lastly, I would say to be patient on the day of your wedding and just know that things may go unplanned but it’ll all work out at the end!

Anything else you want to tell us? We'd love to hear all about your other details! (jewelry, mehndi, venue, cake, bouquets, etc.)
I am a very simple person so dressing up more than casual for my wedding events was a little outside of my comfort zone. My jewelry I picked was antique bronze with a hit of maroon for my wedding day. I love tikas so I made sure to wear one at almost every event. My wedding bouquet was all hydrangeas which were my best friends favorite flowers. My outfits didn't have a particular theme to them I just wanted to make sure they were all different styles, colors, and embroideries. Lastly, I ended up finding my reception gown two nights before my flight back home from Bombay. I had a particular vision of how I wanted it to look and it had to be emerald in color (my favorite color). So finally I was able to find it and I was beyond happy!

Riviera Maya, Mexico Indian Wedding by Jhankarlo Photography

Hello, Maharanis! Are you ready for a new and exciting adventure? If the answer is yes, get your luggage and travel documents because we will take you on a trip to the imposing Unico Riviera Maya in Mexico to join Tulsi & Nikkin at their lovely wedding celebration. This event combines all the things we love, immersing us in a magical journey, from which you will not want to return, so let's jump right into it. With the sea in the background, contrasting with the beautiful and natural color palette found in the magical sunsets of the Mayan Riviera, Tulsi & Nikkin could not have asked for a most romantic backdrop to join their lives in marriage. But that is not all! To elevate the beauty of this wedding, these lovebirds brought Canteiro Weddings on board to take care of the decor, and the result was mindblowing! And before we go any further, we want to give a big shoutout to Dream Team CLT  for the perfect planning, design, and execution of this wedding. It was a dream come true! For the ceremony, our lovely duo burst into the scene, looking like Royalty. Still, it was our gorgeous Maharani who stole the show after being pampered by Styling Trio. The festivities concluded with an epic reception party enlivened by Drums in Paradise. And all we have to say is that it was a night to remember! If you want to take a closer look at this magical celebration, don't miss the jaw-dropping shots captured by Jhankarlo Photography in today's full gallery. You will get tons of inspiring ideas!
