So, we have decided to bring you a little more about this fantastic and alluring wedding. Today's journey into this happily ever after the story begins at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. They wanted to get married on the beautiful sandy beach as the waves gently washed ashore, with the Caribbean Sea as the backdrop and soundtrack. This venue takes luxury and love to a new level! The fabulous execution from Pearls Event & Co. created an elegant, romantic, and captivating atmosphere that our couple could not have asked for a more beautiful scenario to declare their love in front of their family and friends. Our lovely Maharani stole all the looks while walking down the aisle in her fascinating lehenga from Shilpa Gandhi Studio. But it was not just the splendid attire that highlighted Anandi's beauty; this traditional and inspiring look that we love would not have been possible without the exceptional work of the incredible Flawless Beauty by Pauline. The discreet and elegant make-up and the classic and refined hairstyle gave her a breathtaking look for this once-in-a-lifetime event. All the guests had the time of their lives while the talented M4U Events played the perfect melodies to liven up this fantastic event. Their experience and professionalism were the perfect allies for this party! Check it out. You will enjoy it!

Palmer, Alaska Indian Wedding by Jake Elko

The filmy day of the week just arrived, bringing back great memories of a unique and incredible celebration such as Atisha & Mike's wedding. We think they are a match made in heaven! Our fabulous couple chose a unique place to host their wedding, Knik Glacier, Palmer, Alaska. This was a wedding like no other! Tiffee did our Maharani's makeup, looking natural yet glamorous, sophisticated yet adorable. She was breathtaking! Wild Hearts Events coordinated every detail of this fantastic wedding! This team let our couple know that the little things made Atisha & Mike's big day unique! Our couple called Honey Bloom Floral Design to create an enchanted and simple decor, and they exceeded their expectations! The best part of the event is a play button away from you as Jake Elko captured a series of exceptional moments worth watching over and over again, so don't wait any longer and get ready to enjoy this beautiful film. Sweeties, I'm sure it will make your heart smile!

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
Mike went to college with my brother and years later, was living with a close friend we had in common. We reconnected and the rest is history! I knew he was the one when the little things started to add up- things like teaching him to love Taco Bell as much as I do, doing new things together that one another enjoyed, and seeing how much of a caring and sincere person he is when it comes to others.
Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
Our proposal story is one for the books! We have 3 of them, and you read that right, three! There were a few failed attempts, but it ended with a beautiful sunset on the beach of Honeymoon Island, Florida.
Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
We eloped on a glacier in Alaska, so a lot of these details are irrelevant. We knew we wanted to elope somewhere that was not tropical (looking at you, DR brides). Our planning began during COVID, so Europe and Canada were out of the question. We decided on doing something in the mountains and found an “adventure planner” in Alaska. Alaska is always a bucket list place to visit, and we thought “why not?” We saw the idea for a glacier wedding and completely fell in love. We had so much fun planning this because we knew it was just for us, me and him, with no one else to please or worry about. We could spend extra time and money on little details by eloping. Our wedding planner with wild hearts events helped put together details like hair and makeup, florals, etc., and she did a fantastic job!
How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
This is a fun story. I told my parents 4 months before our wedding date that we decided on eloping in Alaska. They were shocked for sure, but the panic of finding a dress really set in. I planned to go to New Jersey to find my dress, but my frugal desi mother refused to let that happen, knowing how expensive lehengas can get here in the states. Luckily, my aunt was going to India the following month. I knew I wanted shades of blue to go with the colors of the glacier and surrounding landscape. After several 4 am FaceTime calls with her and searching Pinterest for inspiration, we finally landed on a shop that could do a custom design in my color choices. They hand-stitched the lehenga and shipped it to the states- I tried it on for the first time just 11 days before we left for Alaska. It was nerve-wracking, but I ended up absolutely loving my dress.
What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
All of it! Doing a private ceremony or elopement takes out all of the stress. My husband and I had so much fun planning out details and colors and imagining what it would be like out on the glacier. Our favorite part was designing the wedding suites- we had a full set of stationary and a wedding crest designed for us to frame and keep. We framed a set for all of our family members and gifted it to them.
What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
We didn’t have any guests, of course, but we sent out announcements after the fact with seeds for Alaska’s state flower (forget me not) and a box of our favorite Indian sweets. I think we would be guests who really enjoyed getting a piece of our celebration and still felt appreciated in our love story.
Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
We had a few moments alone as we got off of the helicopter and onto the glacier while our photographer was setting up. We stood there, shivering, holding hands, and looking out into the vastness of the glacier. It was breathtaking. We felt like we were on the moon, just the two of us. I think about this memory a lot.
For events other than your ceremony, please tell us as much as you would like about the decor, style, dances, and all the special details.
We had a mehndi/send-off party the day before we left for Alaska. We wanted to keep it low-key, so we hosted it at our home surrounded by friends and family. We also had a very low-key Pitti and Ganesh puja at my parent's home in South Carolina. We kept it very small and made all of the decorations on our own. It was very special to do all of this in our homes with just close friends and family around.
Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
Do what YOU want! Don’t be scared to go the non-traditional route. If you have doubts that you’ll regret forgoing the “big Indian wedding,” I promise you will get over that very quickly and will be so glad you did what you wanted to do at the end of the day.
Anything else you want to tell us? We'd love to hear all about your other details! (jewelry, mehndi, venue, cake, bouquets, etc.)

Montego Bay, Jamaica Indian Wedding by Unique Visions Studio

Sweeties, we have extraordinary wedding footage that celebrates the union of Palak & Kevin in Montego Bay, Jamaica! The artistic wedding cinematographer, Unique Visions Studio, reveals through his lens the luxurious wedding at the exceptional Grand Palladium Jamaica! This lovely couple couldn't choose a better videographer since they always deliver a fresh, creative, and emotionally packed film. Lamey Rosebloom took the lead and designed this over-the-top affair that reflected the newlyweds' exquisite taste through the alluring decor, their outfits, and everything in between! I love Maharani Palak's style, but her makeup and hair look created by Flawless Beauty By Pauline were especially beautiful. We adore her stunning neet mehndi design by the super talented henna artists of Henna by Urvee! Relive all the beautiful moments in the film below! You will love every detail!

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
My husband and I are both in the medical profession. He is a cancer surgeon, and I am a Physician Assistant. We met on a medical mission in Kingston, Jamaica, in August 2013 when we traveled to underserved areas to provide free medical care.
Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
The Proposal was 100% Kevin style. It was simple and intimate. Just the two of Gizmo and us. On January 17, 2021, we returned from spending the day with Kevin's family in the Bronx. Little after 6 pm, I was getting ready to sit on the couch and have my yogurt when Kevin got down on one knee and pulled out the gorgeous ring, and asked me to marry him. There were no bells and whistles, but it was everything.
Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other essential details.
I hired a planner to help me. I was having a destination wedding in Jamaica so my planner was familiar with the destination and that was helpful. I found most of my vendors on Instagram, to be honest, and just reviewed their work and went with my gut feeling. I flew out my videographer, photographer, and makeup artist from the US.
How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
I knew I wanted a white lengha to incorporate my husband's culture as well. I found a beautiful Seema Gujral lengha I fell in love with.
What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
The most enjoyable part would be choosing every little detail and customizing everything to my own taste and liking.
What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
Our venue, The Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton Resort & Spa in Jamaica, was beautiful and I think the guests loved spending so many days together enjoying each other's company, partying, drinking, dancing, and celebrating our love together for 4+ days. We incorporated my husband's Jamaican roots throughout the events.
Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
As soon as I entered the Mandap, all of a sudden, it rained so hard. At first, I was panicking, but I looked out to my guests and saw everyone still there, embracing the rain and watching us get married regardless of having wet clothes and makeup and hair dripping down. That was truly lovely.
For events other than your ceremony, please tell us as much as you would like about the decor, style, dances, and all the special details.
I have to say the decor was effortlessly beautiful, simple, and chic. We had several DIY details such as our welcome bags, reserved seating signs, phoolon ki chadar (handmade by my best friend's sister), custom shot glasses for guests to take before taking their seat for the reception, our guestbook was a Bob Marley coffee table book, little snack bags packed with goodies flown all the way from India, custom fans for the ceremony, and each reception table was labeled as one of our favorite travel destinations.
Our flowers were imported. While Jamaica has tropical flowers, I wanted something more muted and romantic, using more pastels.
Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
Start as early as possible
Stay organized.
Have a few point people you can rely on and assign duties; you cannot do it all.
Don't forget to enjoy each and every moment as it all passes by so fast.
On the day of the event/events, don't get hung up on things that did not go as planned; IT IS GOING TO HAPPEN.
Have a reasonable budget. Cannot have a champagne taste and a beer budget.
Anything else you want to tell us? We'd love to hear all about your other details! (jewelry, mehndi, venue, cake, bouquets, etc.)

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
Engaged to my greatest blessing.
Our journey began as a classic love at first sight. Justin walked past me one night on the streets of Houston and we immediately locked eyes, and stared unapologetically. He stopped with some friends nearby and after several obvious mutual glances, I saw him walk towards me and wave. Smiling ear to ear, we approached and walked directly to one another, meeting halfway (the first of many meetings halfway, literally.)
We knew on our first date, a week later, we found our forever.
Though our story started as a Bollywood fairytale, it brought no shortages in major trials and tribulations. So incredibly grateful we survived 5.5 years of our LDR, and actively chose each other. Ecstatic to start this new chapter with my soulmate and best friend.
Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
Justin and I decided to finally vacation to Cancun following a long drawn-out period of quarantine and he proposed to me on the beach in Mexico where we later decided to also get married.
Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
Once we decided on a destination wedding in Mexico, we hired fing to help us find the resort that matched our needs — Hard Rock Riviera Maya. We hired the majority of house vendors and we’re thoroughly impressed and satisfied.
How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
Wedding dress - for those who knew me, fitness is a huge part of my identity and given how much time I spend in the gym, it's no surprise I chose a body form-fitting dress — mermaid style with a train.
In terms of reception lehenga, I prefer nude/pastel shades so chose a blinged-out light baby pink that complimented the custom lehengas I had designed for my bridesmaids.
What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
Knowing that in spite of the stress, uncertainties, and changes during the process - my constant and one certainty remained my fiancé and now husband. Wedding planning evokes a roller coaster of emotions and challenges, but it’s important to not lose sight of why you’re enduring it in the first place.
What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
Both my husband and I felt immensely grateful to all 200 of our guests who flew from all over the world (Australia, India, UK, Dubai, US) to Mexico to attend our wedding, so we invested a great deal in our entertainment - fire show/water drum show, fireworks, dhol player, mehendi artists for the guest, harpist, and violinist, etc. I’d say they enjoyed that the most. :)
Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
The moment the fireworks went off during our madhuramveppu and everyone’s face lit up and jumped with joy. Our friends literally lifted us up all night on the dance floor!
Also, we got hit with unprecedented heavy rain and thunderstorms 30 minutes before our beach ceremony so consequently, we had to change locations on the shortest of notice. The vendors pulled together and moved everything within 30 minutes and momentarily the sun came out. The stress was palpable and evidently, our loved ones felt our pain, as the moment I hit the aisle all of our guests screamed and cheerleaded as I walked down! It meant the world to us knowing they supported us through the rain and shine.
