Sweeties, we are ready for another engagement story! Yousuf & Pireya's love story began on a serendipitous evening in 2016 at a joyous birthday gathering where their paths intertwined. From their eyes met it was as if the universe conspired to bring them together, affirming their deep connection and undeniable chemistry. They knew, with unwavering certainty, that they were destined to be soulmates, embarking on a lifelong journey hand in hand. As time passed and their love blossomed, Yousuf & Pireya's families recognized the profound bond shared by their beloved children. In February 2021, amidst joyful conversations and heartfelt laughter, their families sealed their verbal agreement, paving the way for a beautiful future together. It was a moment that filled their hearts with joy, for they had the blessings of their loved ones on this unique path they were about to embark upon. A few months later, on a splendid April day, Yousuf orchestrated a proposal that would forever be etched in their hearts. Choosing the Richmond Canal Walk as the backdrop, a place that had witnessed their love blooming during the early stages of their relationship, Yousuf dropped to one knee and presented a dazzling ring to his beloved Pireya—time seemed to stand still as he poured out his heart, promising a lifetime of love, companionship, and unwavering support. Overwhelmed with emotions, Pireya tearfully accepted, knowing deep within her soul that this was the beginning of a beautiful chapter in their love story. The couple exchanged their vows at the exquisite St. Thomas Syro Malabar Catholic Forane Church in Somerset. The ceremony venue, adorned by the artistic touch of Anderson Flowers, transformed into a sanctuary of love. Shaina, a vision in her enchanting bridal gown from Bella Bleu Bridal, radiated sheer elegance as she walked down the aisle. Cinderella Bridez enhanced the bride's beauty into an ethereal goddess. Pleats With Deets skillfully draped and styled her exquisite bridal sari, adding a gorgeous touch of tradition and sophistication to her look. Alena Thomas, the brilliant wedding coordinator, orchestrated every detail with flawless precision. Hyatt Regency Princeton provided the perfect setting for Shaina & Danny's grand celebration. Nestled amidst lush greenery and boasting elegant architecture, this luxurious venue exuded sophistication and charm. How did you meet your Groom, and when did you know he was "the one"?
Danny and I are a Dil Mil success story. I was initially skeptical about joining the app, but after matching with Danny and exchanging text/phone calls for 3 months, he visited me in Chicago, and the rest is history. As cliché as it sounds, when you know, you just know. From the first time I met Danny, he made me feel safe and comfortable. We spend the weekend exploring the city and trying different restaurants and rooftops. Despite being long distance, Danny has always made an effort to visit me every chance he got, even if it meant driving 11 hours from NJ to IL during covid. 3 years of long-distance and traveling back and forth was all worth it because it was filled with adventurous dates in our hometown, making so many memories, and leading to the most memorable day of our life, our wedding.

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
I had initially flown to NJ to attend Danny’s friend’s wedding and spend a week relaxing in the Hamptons. However, little did I know that during this time, Danny was also planning our proposal. A day before I left to go back to Chicago, we were invited to a friend’s “baby shower” at Skyland botanical garden in Ringwood. However, in reality, it was Danny tricking me to get me all dressed up for the proposal. When we got to the Botanical Garden, we walked toward the Azalea Garden. Around the garden pond, he set up various picture frames of pictures representing various milestones in our relationship. In the end, there were two blank frames; 1 represented memories that we would capture leading to the big day, and the other represented all the memories we would capture for the rest of our lives. He got down on 1 knee and asked me to marry him. We had a mini photo shoot and then drove over to his cousin’s house for a surprise engagement party. I was shocked to see so many family members and close friends that flew from Chicago to celebrate this special day with us.

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
While planning our wedding, we wanted to pick a venue that would allow us to create a unique and memorable celebration and that would be convenient for all of our guests. We chose Hyatt Regency Princeton because it accommodated all of our guests during the weekend stay and provided the best venue and cocktail hour space. Our theme for our wedding was classy with white greenery. The décor and lighting in our venue stunned and mesmerized everyone that entered the room. DNS Event Solution went above and beyond with their lighting and brought so much hype to the dance floor all night long.

What did your guests particularly love about your wedding?
Our guests were in love with how beautifully decorated and lit our venue was. As the doors opened to be seated for the main reception, all you could see on our guest's face were a feeling of awe because it was just that beautifully decorated. To this day, when we see some of our guests, they still comment on how amazing the reception hall was decorated. Even though we don’t deserve the credit for the hard work and enhanced vision of our decorator, we still get an overwhelming number of compliments when newly engaged couples use pictures of the decorations from our reception to describe what they want for their reception hall.

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
Although there were many special moments at our wedding that I will always cherish, one that will always stick out is the energy on the dance floor. From the heartfelt speeches from our family and friends to dancing the night away on our beautifully lit dance floor, the energy on the dance floor will always be a moment I will always cherish. Our DJ played all the best songs, and our lighting team really brought our vision of a club to life, making it a night never to forget. To make it even more special, Danny had planned a surprise dance where he got all our NJ and Chicago friends together to perform an amazing 8-minute dance!

With their expert team of DJs and entertainers, they ensured that the celebration was nothing short of spectacular. The beats of their music set the tone for the joyous occasion, encouraging guests to dance and celebrate alongside the happy couple while they arrive at El Dorado Royale - Beach Terrace. Under the guidance of the talented JC Castillo, the planning and design of the wedding were flawlessly executed. At the same time, Roses & Co added a touch of magic with their exquisite floral arrangements and enchanting decor, transforming the venue into a haven of beauty with cascading blooms and beautiful details at every turn. Komal entrusted Sara Tamargo with her hair and makeup, who expertly enhanced her natural beauty, making her glow with confidence and happiness. Loto Mehndi adorned her hands and feet with intricate henna designs symbolizing love. The enchanting reception at the grand El Dorado Royale Ballroom exuded elegance and sophistication. Party Music & Events lit up the evening with a mesmerizing fireworks display, filling the air with bursts of color and joy, while the beats from Sugar Events & Entertainment kept the dance floor alive. How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
I first met Nir at my sister's wedding back in 2015. But since I lived in NZ and he was from the States, a relationship wasn’t on the cards, so we became good friends. Nir was persistent and determined to win me over, even if we lived on opposite sides of the world. After many years of friendship, our connection grew stronger, and I knew he was who I wanted to be with.

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
The proposal was magical! I still remember it as if it was yesterday. We were staying at the JW Marriott Juhu, and he took me by total surprise by asking me to marry him. He had reserved the whole pool area and had private dining for us. The setup was absolutely beautiful. Saying yes to Nir was the easiest decision I’ve made.

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
We choose to have our wedding in Cancun, Mexico, and choose to work with a wedding planner. We hired JC Castillo, and his work is beyond incredible. Our wedding got delayed for 2 years due to COVID, so there was a lot of back and forth with our vendors.

Having a planner made everything so much easier for us, especially with me planning a wedding from New Zealand. We provided JC with concepts and ideas of how we wanted our decor to be. JC delivered beyond our expectations, and each event was so much more than what we had dreamed of.

We had a small wedding with 120 guests, and our resort, Dreams Sapphire Resort, and Spa, was perfect for our wedding. The resort was beautiful, and each event location we picked provided us with the perfect backdrop.

We did the majority of our shopping from Mumbai and Surat in India. With COVID, video shopping made things a lot easier for us.

I wanted my makeup to be natural glam and was excited to be more adventurous with my hair designs. Sara Tamargo and her team were so easy to work with, and they left me and my family looking fabulous for all my events.

Sahil & Riddhi from Sugar Entertainment is great friends with Nir. Sahil did an incredible job providing the beats for our wedding. They were really helpful and detailed oriented in ensuring we had exactly the music we wanted for all our events!

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
Since we were going to be getting married on the beach, I wanted a pastel lehenga. I had a concept in mind of what I wanted. I went to buy my lehenga with my parents in India. When I came across my lehenga, I just fell in love with it. My father passed away a year before our wedding, and my lehenga is extra special to me as my father still got to see me in it.

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
Food! Haha, Patravali did all our event catering. Their food was so delicious that we still have family and friends that rave about it.

Our guests also loved how we spread out our events over multiple days. It gave everyone time to explore Cancun as well as attend and enjoy all our events.

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
Walking into our first event was really special. To see all our family and friends here with us to celebrate our love. We had a lot of guests that had traveled far to be with us, and we were really grateful that after 2 years, we were finally able to get married!

For events other than your ceremony, please tell us as much as you would like about the decor, style, dances, and all the special details.
I am so glad we hired Salsa dancers on our Sangeet night. They provided so much energy and got everyone onto the dance floor. We loved all the performances our family and friends did for us.

We wanted to keep the decor simple but elegant. I loved all our floral arrangements for each event.

We created welcome bags for all our guests personalized with a handwritten letter from us. We wanted to ensure all our guests had all the essentials they could possibly need, along with a few goodies to enjoy!

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
Planning a wedding can be stressful! When the week/day comes, enjoy every single moment. Don’t sweat the small stuff, as there will always be hiccups no matter how well you plan. Just live in the moment!

Loto Mehndi are so talented. I loved every piece of my Mehndi design.

We also loved our Pandit. We had Bernado Soriano perform all our ceremonies. At the request of our parents no ritual was left incomplete. He explained everything so well and performed all ceremonies so gracefully.
