Buena Park, CA Sikh Wedding by Samson Production

I have to admit that Summer is not my favorite time of the year. But, summer Indian weddings, Maharanis, that is my jam! I love gazing at well-lit portraits with lush greenery and the sunlight twinkling hotter than a bride's highlighter. Summer weddings are IT. And, if you have a Cali wedding in the pipeline, Preet and Praneel's incredible getaway is pure bliss and inspiration. For an Indian bride, the search for that perfect lengha is seemingly long and foreboding. But, when you find that one, the one that just makes your heart flutter, that is when an Indian bride knows everything is going to fall in place. Preet enlisted the designers at Mashaa Collection to secure her Sikh wedding look. The bride settled on an incredible lengha that embodied the romance, confidence, and joy of being an Indian bride. The designer collection also dolled this bride up with unique jewelry pieces that were undeniably appealing. My favorite highlights of the bride getting ready are down below with Samson Production behind the lens and Sacheens Décor getting the venue ready for a sensational soiree in our gallery

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
Praneel and I met 15 years ago at a family friends wedding. The moment I saw him on the dance floor, I knew there was something special about him. Over the years we met at several functions and became good friends.  Both of us kept our feelings to our self's for many years but then Destiny brought us together.  In 2015 we took our relationship to another level when he raised the question of Marriage.

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
Praneel and I love traveling and traveled to many states (Las Vegas, Chicago, New York, Florida, Texas, Seattle, Hawaii, to name a few) while we were dating. During most of our trip, we unofficially discussed marriage and it was on our trip to Miami Beach, where he popped the question in the most romantic way.   We celebrated our proposal in a more formal way in New York City.

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
Our wedding planning was short and un-stressful.  We both knew that we would get married at the Buena Park Gurudwara and only went there to reserve the date and coordinate the decoration with our Decorator. Since we both love Newport beach and have celebrated many special occasion including our first date, we knew we wanted our reception there and choose Electra Cruises. Luckily the yacht we liked was available the day after our wedding. For decoration, we only met with Sacheen at Sacheen Décor.  You can see Her passion for decoration through her elegant work. Our all-time favorite photographers are Samson and we had them capture all our events.
And when it comes to Makeup, Hair, and Mehendi, my childhood friend Minal from Minal's Beauty made me look extraordinary in all our events.

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
I always pictured myself in a bright red lengha and my groom in a Blue Sherwani. When it came to selecting my lengha, I saw 4 outfits and as soon as my eyes went on the outfit I wore on our special day, I fell in love. it has the royal blue color on her Gold Zari work with was stunning and I couldn't resist and purchased it in minutes.  Praneel's Sherwani had the same Red and Royal Blue combination.  Both the outfits were from different Boutique stores. We had decided that we will not see each other outfits and see it on the wedding day.  The way I described my outfit to him, he was able to custom order his Sharwani from Maansha matching my colors and design.

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
We only spent 2 months planning our wedding. We both did not want to stress ourselves by dragging the process for 6 months to years. We both knew exactly how we wanted everything and didn't want to waste time with visiting venues and vendors.

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
Our guests absolutely loved our Decoration at all the events, thanks to Sacheen.
She decorated each venue just the way I dreamt. The details for each décor was so elegant and classy that everyone including us was speechless.

The wedding reception is on a yacht. I repeat, the wedding reception is on a YACHT! Join me in the next feature where I dish all the details!

Dallas, Texas Indian Wedding by MnM Photography

It would only be honorary to detail the amount of planning and designing that went into Maharani Ankita and Vikas's fabulous Indian wedding. From the colorful sangeet to the impeccable wedding designed for royalty by Prashe, to the series of events that required over the top planning by K.I Weddings, I am truly sad to see this wedding affair come to an end. It would only be natural that the grand finale is swanky of all. After the Indian wedding ceremony, it was everyone flocked back to the Omni Mandalay Las Colinas for cocktails and dinner. Ankita changed into a royal champagne lengha with a trailing train. No doubt in my mind this was a custom-made designer piece. The artistry work of Samira's Henna Designs was front and center as the bride made her grand entrance. The spacious ballroom featured a floral engulfed sweetheart that was just sensational. There was no shortage of entertainment here with a perfectly curated playlist by DJ Riz Entertainment. Guests scrambled for seconds with delish catering by Bombay Chopstix. The venue was lit to illuminated perfection by DJ Riz Entertainment, which paired perfectly with all the images shining in our gallery captured by MnM Photography.

Dallas, Texas Indian Wedding by MnM Photography

Welcome back to Maharani Ankita's over the top luxury Indian wedding! Once the bride said "I do", the couple immediately booked wedding design guru Jignasa Patel of K.I. Weddings to bring their wedding vision to life. I absolutely loved the mehndi design work of Samira's Henna Designs. Ankita's personal style embodied the romance, confidence, and joy in being an Indian bride! Prashe transformed the ballroom at the Omni Mandalay Las Colinas by bringing the outside in. An elegant mandap draped with ornate pink and white blossoms was a standalone piece that made a bold statement. Lighting from DJ Riz Entertainment shimmered and shined in the room and every guest had their own spotlight. Take out your notebooks gals, this is one Indian wedding you are going to want to note for the future! Your seat awaits for the images tucked away in our gallery shot by MnM Photography!

Dallas, Texas Indian Wedding by MnM Photography

Talk about a trifecta celebration filled with grandiose details! Maharani Ankita and Vikas's splendid soiree has just begun and I have all the beautiful images available to share with you all. Jignasa Patel of K.I. Weddings is triumphant with planning larger than life Indian weddings and always manages to blow me away from the creativity of their work. The morning started with our bride getting dolled up for her wedding ceremony and with the talented work of Samira's Henna Designs, the outcome was stunningly sensational. The bride channeled the appearance of a Rajasthani bride with a shiny matha patti and gleaming nath in her nose. Hair was kept neat in an ebullient bun decorated with fresh flowers. As the bride got ready, DJ Riz Entertainment led the baraat ceremony alongside a majestic horse from Happy Trails Carriage Service. The baraat truly made an outstanding appearance shining with Bollywood flair. The images tucked away in the gallery shot by MnM Photography helps me a picture a love tale that is truly one for the ages!

Long Island, NY Indian Wedding by Recall Pictures

Revisiting the special moment of an Indian bride's fairytale wedding is so magical that sometimes I just cannot put the feeling into words. I have always loved New York and now I have another reason to fall in love with Long Island with Shaili and Sagar's Indian wedding at the Oheka Castle Historic Hotel in Long Island. After an explosive sangeet with Florista Décor and a stunning outdoor Indian wedding ceremony by Elegant Affairs Inc., the talented team returned for the grand finale. Shaili donned an allover beaded fit and flare anarkali with long illusion sleeves and a deep-V neckline. The artistry of Makeup by Anita added a touch of luxe to the whole ensemble. Elegant Affairs Inc. elevated the passion with intimate and posh embellishments throughout the ballroom. BWD Sports & Entertainment LLC lit up the room and the dancefloor with their infectious beats. Recall Pictures captured the entire event and I will be unveiling the cinematography experience on Friday! Until then, I have the full, Instagram worthy gallery right at your fingertips.
