Editor's Choice : New York Indian Wedding Reception by Design House

Just like my engagement ring, the more I look at this fabulous New York Indian wedding reception by Design House Decor and Wrinkle in Time Photography, the more I fall in love.  There isn't anything about this Indian wedding that isn't perfection in my book. It's fancy done without being fussy, and if you don't believe me, just take a look at the bride's hair.  Cascading curls that aren't too tight give her that ultra-glamed up look.  And, when paired with those huge eyelashes she has Maharani written all over!  Inspired by the bride’s love of purple and green, Design House Décor used tons of candles, moss, and purple orchids to create this enchanted forest theme. With darling details like monogrammed flips, replica cake topper of the bride and groom, and a customized newspaper, it's no surprise that this one got my vote!

Congratulations to the beautiful couple!  It's been a pleasure featuring your Indian wedding!

Contemporary Illinois Indian Wedding by Thomas Marlow

Some of the best submissions we receive are from the Maharanis themselves, and do I have a wedding for you today!  Today’s contemporary Illinois Indian wedding is just what Santa ordered.  It’s filled with tons of ideas and jaw droppingly gorgeous décor.  Splendidly photographed by Thomas Marlow, we are going to start the festivities with their Garba dash Sangeet.  Well what else would you expect when a Gujurati gal falls in love with her Punjabi Prince?

I just love the big full skirt on this ravishing red bridal lengha.  It's perfect for twirling around a garba! More on the way!

Chicago Indian Wedding by Thomas Marlow

If you are just joining us today, we are featuring a lovely Chicago Indian wedding and I am totally smitten with this couple.  From wedding invitation to bridal lengha, this chic Maharani and her man made sure that every detail seamlessly came together. I particularly love that our Indian bride chose purple for her ceremony lengha.  It isn't something we see very often, but paired with that fabulous choker style gold necklace and it makes my heart go pitter patter.  I am so happy that we have oodles of images by Thomas Marlow to devour....I mean, with pictures this sweet who needs a Christmas cookie?

 From our Maharani, Mansi :
Our objective when it came to down to the decor and style really boiled down to being as traditional as we can as far as the actual proceedings for the ceremony go while adding a modern twist to the decor. Our venue hunting was a stressful one as we did get started rather late, and Sunny and I did clash a little initially. He wanted an outside wedding (I didn't). He wanted it dead in the summer, I wanted it later in the summer so it was cooler. Unfortunately for him, since I am the BRIDE I got what I wanted. The inside venue and it being later in the summer. Finding a venue then was increasingly difficult as he wanted to get as much of an outside feel as possible. He didn't want to feel enclosed in a banquet hall "box." After 4 venue visits we found the Westin which was perfect! 3 of the 4 walls were completely glass, overlooking a pond with a fountain and plenty of greenery which is hard to come by here in Chicagoland.
More of this glorious day coming up!

Illinois Indian Wedding by Thomas Marlow

These adorable lovebirds planned to perfection their ultimate wedding day.  So, when the opening line of their submission was, "Truly the best couple nights of our lives together!" they shot to the top of my favorite couples list. And, how can you blame me?  Their stylish affair wowed me from start to finish.  And, I must say, the modern blue reception is my favorite part.  Hats off to Dream Occasions for adding a touch of lighting to these centerpieces.  The lighting adds an interesting element without breaking the bank. The Classic Maharani in me knows that this would also look fabby with gold lighting as well! Take a look...

Voila!  Another fabulous Indian wedding!  Congrats to the lovely pair and we will see you tomorrow!

Charming New York Indian Wedding by Max Photography & Design House Decor

There are a few things that I am hopeless romantic about….the South, "December to Remember" car commercials, and backyard weddings.  So, when Design House Décor sent me this beautiful, New York Indian wedding and I found out it took place in their backyard, I immediately started to swoon. Bursting with pops of pink , Chinese lanterns, and glass bowls filled with carnations, this one has perfection written all over it.

This might be the most charming Indian wedding we have seen in a while!  See you ladies tomorrow!
