Indian Wedding at the Plaza New York by Stak Photography

I recently had the chance to spend the day with the lovely Susmta Patel of Studio Sush, and I was totally blown away by her passion and knowledge of the field of beauty.  Yes, I had seen her amazing portfolio, spoken to countless brides who were obsessed with her, and knew that she does phenomenal work. But what I didn’t know was that Sushmita has the ability to transform a bride so she looks and feels her very best.  I know it might sound slightly insane, but for a Maharani who adores wearing only mascara and Lululemons a little too much, Susmta transformed me into a red lipstick rocking diva, where I actually asked her if I could wear it every day.  After a few minutes of work by her magical brushes and expert touch, I stood a little straighter, smiled a little brighter, and felt as though I was ready to conquer the world.  Now the only thing that I can imagine is being one of her Indian brides, on their wedding day AND feeling the same way. Lucky ducks! When I see Maharani Meghna walking down the aisle, not only does she look like a million bucks, I know that she feels the same way too.

New York Indian Wedding by Stak Photographer Duo

There is no beating around the bush about it, this reception’s florals and décor by Atlas have my jaw on the floor!  From the gold overlay linen by Cloth Connection, to the candles adorned with purple flowers, this New York Indian wedding has me gasping at every image.  I know, I know, a wedding isn’t only about the drop dead gorgeous décor or the fact that it is at the Plaza. It’s about the experience, the vows, and of course the bride and groom.  I feel SO lucky that Stak Photographers was on hand to capture every glorious detail and whimsical instant because that means I get to spend the day shuffling through the beautiful assortment of wedding moments perfectly planned by Sonal J. Shah Event Consultants, LLC.

Congrats to the lovely bride and groom and big thanks to Stak Photograher Duo for this submission!

Destination Indian Wedding in Hawaii by IQ Photo

These photos by IQ Photo are amazing not only because they capture the sheer joy and bursting energy of the baraat, but because they do an exceptional job capturing each and every detail of the wedding while also grabbing the whole scene.  There is no other way to say it, but this lovely Maharani's lengha is to die for.  Not only is it stylishly embellished, but her blouse has been stitched in a modern style that fits her absolutely perfectly.   Notice how the flowers on the path leading to the mandap are the same pretty colors as their jai malas: lavender, saffron and red.  And I love how the bouquet uses that same lavender and ties it into the pure white of the mandap.  I can't get enough of these photos... every time I look I discover another element of island beauty that I didn't see before!

You'll be surprised, excited and inspired by what I have in store for you next!  Hint: It's usually not something you find in the typical Indian wedding!

Destination Indian Wedding in Hawaii by IQ Photo

Happy Monday and Happy October Maharanis!  Today, we are going on a trip to the beautiful Hawaii to get a peek at this gorgeous Indian wedding.  These Mehndi photos from IQ Photo have completely blown me away.   Already, I am always so entranced by the intricate and beautiful mehndi designs on the hands of a bride but these images have me completely fixated.  I am swooning over this Maharani's look from her not overly intricate yet alluring mehndi to her stunning jewelry!  That teal blue color in her churis and lengha look amazing on her, and it was an especially good color choice for her because it's also a color that transitions well from bright lights to candlelight.  Speaking of color, I can't get over how well the "color-block" technique was used with the pillows in this outdoor mehndi set-up!  It is so true: just a splash of color can do wonders!

Now this is a brilliant idea.....topical islands and Indian weddings in one! Are you ready for the ceremony? Give me a few minutes and I'll meet you right back here!

Hawaii Indian Wedding Ceremony by IQ Photo + Special Occasions

Pinks & purples...gold & diamond! This reception has all the above and more, which is what makes it so very Maharani.  And IQ Photo was there to capture the magic.  I love the hot pink lighting, hot pink drapery, hot pink splashed reception stage and last, but not least...the hot pink flowers cascading down the wedding cake! Can you tell, I love me some hot pink!  Amazingly, enough with just a few switches, hot pink turns blue and I fall in love with it all again.  With such stunning photography by IQ Photo and a vibrant dancefloor by Special Occasions, it's no wonder I am crazy about this reception!
