Atlanta, GA Indian Wedding by Events By SPL

Today we are featuring a trifecta treat that can only be told in three different features. We have a lot of detail to cover, so open up your notebook app and let’s get to dishing! Maharani Pulak is the ultimate bombshell beauty and is one smart cookie! This Maharani met her beau during a chance encounter during their fourth year in medical school. After convincing this young lady that it was okay to use public transportation, it was pretty much a wrap from there. The groom proposed in front of a lit Christmas tree and that is when this Maharani knew he was the one - and, it was time to start planning her grand affair! For her garba night, Pulak brought on the ultimate dream duo with Erica Bogart Beauty festooning the bride with glam and Gunn Glamour Hair, Makeup, & Bridal creating the perfect side braid adorned with flowers. Not to mistake her garba outfit for a possible wedding or reception outfit, this bride flowed effortlessly to the harmonic tues of Bollywood beats in a twirling and stunning turquoise and gold lengha. Henna from Manisha's Mehendi Designs was the perfect companion to seal this Bolllywood sweetheart's look. The event was filled to the brim with colorful symmetry with pops of red, blue and gold showering the venue. Jayshri and Sushma Patel of 5th Season most certainly brought in the colorful hue to the Gujarati Samaj of Atlanta. Our favorite part? The decor placed strategically in the middle of the dance floor with statues of deities and colorful linen. Events by SPL captured some mind blowing pics that are scattered in the gallery that plays out a story of family, fun and  cherished memories.

The bride, on what she enjoyed most about planning her dream wedding:

"The part I enjoyed the most was watching both families coming together. Both us have a large family with lots of uncles, aunts and cousins just like most Indian families. It was just amazing to watch both sides of the family getting to know each other as they were helping out with the wedding festivities and having a blast while they were doing so."

On the role that family and friends played:

"We would not have had the wedding of our dreams without the love and support of our parents. I was also very lucky to have my sister-in-law to help me plan the wedding. We were also so lucky to have the best bridal party ever. Every single one volunteered to help with the tiny details of the wedding and made it a complete success. Thanks to everyone, it was the most joyous event of our lives."

Sit tight, dolls! We'll be back before you can say "reception sari"!

The bride, on how she met the Raja of her dreams:

"We actually met online and in the process of getting to know each other a little bit more, we realized that we had a few mutual friends. It didn't take me too long to realize that that he was exactly what I was looking for my whole life. He was sweet, caring, smart, funny and just wholesome. A few months after we started dating, we met each other's family. After meeting his family, I got a better understanding of who he was, his values and his priorities. It was also at that time that I realized that I could not live without him."

On her groom's memorabl proposal:

"Larry and I had a long distance relationship towards the beginning of out relationship. He was doing his fellowship in Dallas and I was working in Houston. As a part of his graduation celebration, him and his colleagues wanted to go out for dinner and he made sure that I came to Dallas to partake in it. While I was getting ready for the diner he repeatedly asked me not to make any plans for next weekend in Houston and that we're going out for something special. After the third time he mentioned it, I suspected that he may be planning to propose. So I get ready and go to dinner with him. After the dinner, when we came back, the apartment was filled with flowers and candles - which was decorated by his friends who snuck in while we were out. I was stunned and I stood there at the door not knowing what's going on. He held my hand and led me towards the corner of the room where there was a table with flowers and pictures. On the table was this scrap book full of pictures of our time together and drawings (more like doodles) of us. On the last page he wrote, this is the first and only time for me to be truly happy, Sunitha will you marry me. I looked up at him and I saw him on his knee with the ring in his hand. I teared up and I said I cant wait to marry you"

On her wedding style:

"Our wedding was in spring so I knew I wanted it to be colorful, yet soft and romantic. I started with a specific palette of colors, which was rather difficult to stick to as I kept changing my mind about my colors. But I took my time with it and made the right decision and went with a palette consisting of shades of pink and gold."

Stay close! You don't want to miss the fab wedding photos coming up next!

The bride, on choosing her dream wedding dress:

"Since Larry and I are both Christian, we got married in church and I opted for a white dress. I spent countless number of hours online searching for the right dress and figuring out what I wanted in a dress. After trying on a few dresses that fit the description of what I wanted did not meet my expectations at all. So I started from scratch and as I was going through the dresses at the boutique and putting away the ones that I wanted to try on, they all turned out to be from the same designer. That's when I fell in love with a Liancarlo dress with french alencon floral lace. I also wanted sleeves on the dress and ended taking the dress to Laura's Bridal Couture Alterations in Houston and told them exactly what I wanted. The sleeves that they created exceeded my expectations and came out absolutely breathtaking."

On her hair and makeup:

"Initially I had no idea what I wanted for my hair & makeup. I had collected some pictures from Instagram and Pinterest that I liked and showed them to my hair and makeup team. I explainedout what I liked about each pictures and trusted them with the rest. It helped that I had a trial with both of them and they made me feel completely at ease. For the most part, I was pretty relaxed about my looks because I knew these girls were extremely talented and in the end, they made me feel gorgeous and made my entire bridal party absolutely stunning."

Exciting day, right gals?! So much more Maharani magnificence is on its way!
