Good morning, darlings! Can you believe how fast this week slipped through our fingers? It seems like we went from Monday to Friday in just the blink of an eye! And you know that we always have something special for you to start getting ready for the weekend, and today is no exception! This time, we are taking you to the elegant Hilton Baltimore BWI Airport so you can take part in this beautiful ceremony. This incredible venue was the perfect choice to host this lovely wedding since their experience with Indian Weddings was a great help! Darshan Photography captured shots from every possible angle to make us feel just as if we were there and to admire all the beauty of Jasmine & Ujval, who attended this life-changing ceremony looking elegantly and fashionably. Still, it was our gorgeous Jasmine who stole the show with the exquisite makeup designed by Anjali. Hands down, this ceremony was a dream come true thanks to Nirali's planning and design and the incredible decorations by Raj. All we have to say is that our hearts melt with tenderness and joy when seeing these two together as there is no way to hide that they were a match made in heaven! DJ Ricky was able to make every moment special from helping them dance on clouds for their first dance to playing the best music throughout the night. Silk Banquet & Catering did an amazing job and had some many fusion options that guests could not get enough. If you want to dive a little deeper into this romantic wedding ceremony, make sure to stop by today's full gallery. It'll brighten up your day!
How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
We met online on a dating app. We started talking for a few weeks and Ujval decided to "come to visit" his friend in Michigan. We decided to go out to dinner at San Morello. Of course, Ujval was late but as soon as he arrived, he made up for it. Fireworks exploded and dinner flew by. After dinner, we decided to go get dessert at Jasmine's favorite bakery. While getting our dessert, Jasmine's friend called in a panic because her dog had run away, and our date was cut short. This might sound like an excuse to get out of date, but Ujval was very understanding. This only added to his charm. The next day we were still texting and talked about wanting to see each other again but Jasmine was in Ohio on a preplanned weekend trip with some of her friends. Ujval decided to extend his trip an extra day so we could meet up again. On Jasmine's return, we went out to dinner with Ujval's friend, Nishant. Afterward, we went to watch Disney movies with some of Jasmine's friends.
I knew he was the one when he met my family, my parents ended up coming to Atlanta with me on my visit to just "look around" but when he came to pick me up for a date, they surprised him to say hello. He was always very understanding and went with the flow. I knew he was the one for me.
Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
It was my dad's birthday and we had planned a family trip to go to North Carolina. Ujval invited his parents on the trip too so our family could have our first trip together. Once we got there we drove to Biltmore to stay for the weekend. As soon as we checked in my mother kept talking about these nice dresses she had gotten me for the fancy dinner we had planned the next day, I started to question what was happening. The next day after lunch everyone kept disappearing throughout the day until it was time to get ready. We got ready and Ujval asked if we wanted to walk around while everyone was still getting ready. As were walking around, we run into Ujval's dad and he say o no! you guys are already here! and tells us to look at the photographer. In front of Biltmore, he had a huge Marry me sign ready to propose. It was beautiful and better than anything I could have dreamed of.
Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
The Hilton BWI was excellent and Karen was there to help us with every step. They were used to Indian weddings so they were very helpful.
Raj decorations took many of my Pinterest ideas and brought them to reality. Most of the Ideas I brought him he had said he had not done before but would figure out a way. Honestly, our wedding looked even better than the Pinterest post I had shown him.
Darshan (photography) really helps us remember our special day. His team was very supportive and help us overcome our awkward selves and create some beautiful pictures.
Anjali (Makeup)- was great and helpful in creating a different look for each event. At the receptions, I ruined my hair extension and she pulled off a miracle with a new look at the last minute.
Dj Topedo and Co- help us keep the party going. He was able to make every moment special from helping us dance on clouds for our first dance to playing the best music throughout the night.
How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
R. I knew I wanted a dark red lengha. I, unfortunately, was not able to go to India due to hospital restrictions from work so my mother went in my place. She had multiple vendors call me and have zoom calls to look at outfits. I was waking up at 3 am prior to work to do these meetings and finally found one that I was in love with.
What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
I had several zoom meetings throughout the week with my parents, his parents, and us. It was a bonding experience with the whole family and made me truly understand how much both our parents are going to support us throughout our lives.
What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
The food!!! Silk did an amazing job and had many fusion options that people could not get enough of.
Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
During our Sangeet, Ujval had a surprise dance for me. He hates dancing as much as I love to dance and he created this special moment for me. He looked so cute at the moment and I always remember it.
For events other than your ceremony, please tell us as much as you would like about the decor, style, dances, and all the special details.
Sangeet, we created little cart stations for the food so it felt like we were at a festival and there were all different fusion food at each station (Mexican, Asian, dessert, etc). The dance floor was surrounded by cots and pillows for people to come to sit and watch the show. The dance floor and a false ceiling with lights have a more romantic vibe. This was such a special event for me.
Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
The one thing I wish I would change would be that I wish I went out to go enjoy the Bharat. I wish I went and dance in the car and go to celebrate that moment instead of being stuck in a room waiting.
