Somerset, NJ Fusion Wedding by Dk PhotoFilms

Hello, sweeties! We missed you so much during the weekend and were dying to share a lovely new story. What better way to start this new week than looking at a charming fusion wedding? If you've been following us for quite a while, you already know that Indian fusion weddings have something special that makes our hearts smile; Sonam & Sumit's wedding affair is no exception! Get ready to have a good time because today's featured wedding packs everything we love and much more! We're starting this journey by joining this sweet couple at The Palace at Somerset Park. To make Sonam & Sumit's dream wedding come to life, NP Events LLC planned every detail of this long-awaited wedding, including vendors, within two months. It was a miracle! They provided luxury event coordination and planning services! The on-point decor by Mandaps by Dhoom created a soothing environment. Both Sonam & Sumit looked ravishing together. Still, it was our beautiful Maharani who stole the show! She said, "I do," looking like a goddess after being glamorized by Maliha Khan Makeup and Make Me Up by Jessica. We cannot stress how much we love every bit of her elegant and glamorous outfits designed by fashion gurus Sequinze and Meghna Jain Modish. She looked both captivating and inspiring! After the wedding ceremony, it was time to celebrate this life milestone with a spectacular reception party that ended the wedding festivities. We also love the exquisite jewelry that Sequinze selected for Sonam since this praised her while giving her a perfect touch of elegance and style. For more amazing shots of this enchanting wedding celebration, don't miss the photos captured by the expert job of  Dk PhotoFilms. We've compiled them in today's gallery. Enjoy!

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
We met through a mutual friend around 4-5 years ago, very coincidentally.
I have always told my friends from before college that I only see myself with a Punjabi husband in the future just for laughs; however, who knew this would manifest into reality?
I knew he was the one the day we went on our first date. The interaction was not uncomfortable. We instantly became friends and had so many things in common. I am so happy to have met the love of my life!
Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
I wanted a small proposal, but living together made it hard for him to hide the planning and details from me. I did find out he was proposing around June 2021. It was a beautiful proposal but a very hot summer day in Longwood Gardens, PA. Our whole family came for the surprise, and the funniest part was him forgetting his lines during the actual ring part- it was hilarious.
Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
The planning started initially for a destination wedding, hoping for close family and friends to attend. However, once creating our guest counts, we realized many of them would not be able to attend.
I reached out to NP Events, LLC, and Ankit Oza was there for me from the absolute beginning. He planned my entire wedding, including vendors, within two months. It was a miracle!! He made sure we had the best vendors and venue for our dream day.
Decor: Mandaps by Dhoom - our family members have used their services before; therefore, it was a very easygoing process to pick and choose for all the events (we had quite a few events, and they made this happen for us, including two Mandaps for two back to back ceremonies)
DJ: hands down, Platinum Roadshow made each event an absolute blast. For the reception, we had DJ Amit, who knew our vibes - we are from Jersey and grew up with the Jersey shore-type music, and Amit definitely turned our reception into our exact vision. We even had a dancing LED robot!
Venue: The Palace at Somerset Park was perfect- they had multiple ballrooms and outdoor areas where we were able to have different events
Hair/Makeup: Maliha Khan Makeup was my personal bridal hair and makeup. There are no words for how she made me look and feel about my events. Absolute princess! We used Payal Jessica Shah for the bridal party and family members, and they did an amazing job getting everyone ready on time for the big day.
Bridal Henna: Henna by Pallavi, professional and very good at her talent. I was concerned with my forearm tattoos which she did amazing with covering and blending in with the rest of the designs.
Signs: we used @girlthatmakessigns (Niti Patel) from Instagram. I went to her last minute to create various songs for the events, which she did complete within a 1-week time frame and had them at my doorstep with the best pricing. Highly recommend.
Catering: Moghul Catering and Rasoi I Restaurant in NJ are the best for catering and listening to your wants and needs. We had the best food items, and all of our guests enjoyed each event.
Overall we loved each and every vendor who went above and beyond for our wedding weekend. Wedding planning itself was very stressful. However, it is all worth it in the end. I also wanted to mention our families and cousins who worked very hard to make our weekend special.
How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
Bridal lehenga(s) shopping was probably the easiest part of the whole process! We went to India for all the bridal shopping in Baroda, Gujarat- Sequinz. I was there from about 10 am-6 pm and chose each lehenga for each event.
I had two ceremonies, Sikh & Hindu; therefore, I had the luxury of wearing TWO whole bridal lehengas! I chose white and pastels for the Sikh and a traditional heavy red lehenga for the Hindu ceremony. The bridesmaids all wore white with pink jewelry to keep it neutral for pictures.
What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
The most enjoyable part of the wedding planning was wedding shopping! I took a trip to India and was glad I did so, as I was able to find more choices for my vision.
We also enjoyed food tasting and planning the morning wedding ceremonies, as well as learning about the two different cultures and traditions.
What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
Our guests absolutely loved the catering; we received many compliments on the food, which was perfect at each event since there were 5. It was here to choose so many different items and not repeat, but we made this happen!
Our guests also enjoyed experiencing the different Sikh and Hindu traditions as they were able to learn about each one.
Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
My special moment was walking down the aisle and seeing my dream wedding come alive. It was absolutely magical walking in with my two mamas and mamis. My husband's grandfather, who is a very special person to my in-laws, was initially not going to attend, the family surprised us, and seeing that smile on my husband and mother-in-law made this weekend even more special.
For events other than your ceremony, please tell us as much as you would like about the decor, style, dances, and all the special details.
Mehndi: we hired The Sangeet Lady (Navdeep Tucker) to come and sing at this event as it was more informal. My main goal was to get out two families acquainted, and Navdeep did a great job by singing traditional wedding Boliyan and inviting both families together for a night of singing and dancing.
Haldi: We had a combined haldi event, and it was a blast! Our friends and families decided to spray us down with water guns in the 40-degree weather, but we made it through!
Sangeet: We combined our cultures by having garba/raas for the initial hour, then did dance performances and followed by the traditional Jaggo event. Let’s just say by the end of the night; there was a lot of money on that dancefloor.
My best friends Suhail and Ana from high school did a special dance for us and surprised us by including his beautiful kids Anayah and Alayna in the dances we grew up doing. We also had ice gola come, and everyone enjoyed the traditional street flavors.
Reception: no words for this day! We had a dancing robot, huge LED screen TV, 360 videos, and 321 nitrogen ice cream. The reception vibes were amazing.
Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
For brides-to-be: the wedding planning process is very stressful, especially if you are doing it alone. I highly recommend a planner for support and trying to be calm throughout the process (which is hard).
Everyone will have opinions but remember this is your big day, and it has to be how you and your significant other want it. Enjoy the process because, ultimately, it goes by very fast, and so will the wedding weekend.
I highly recommend taking ALL the pictures you are able to throughout your events. These memories are something you will want to cherish forever.
Maharanis, I hope this wedding will inspire you to jump aboard the wedding train. Have a great day!

Pompton Plains, NJ Indian Wedding by Memories Studio

Happy Friday! We're excited to share the charming and magical wedding of our lovely couple, Alekhya & Aakash. After a Sangeet and Garba at The Marigold, this couple chose the incredible The Legacy Castle as their ceremony and reception venue. Get comfortable and enjoy this wedding bash thoroughly orchestrated by Urvashi Mishra-Radz Events LLC. She combined style, creativity, and global trends to ensure that every aspect of this wedding was elegantly planned and executed. Wedding Design designed beautiful decors that mirrored the glamorous looks of our gorgeous Alekhya after being pampered by Payal MUA. This magnificent look would have been possible without the beautiful bright red saree draped and tied by Payal MUA. This winning combination created a dreamy look that we cannot stop seeing! And we cannot forget the splendid Mehndi design that Anuja Wala created. It was incredible! After the wedding ceremonies, there was time to celebrate the newlyweds with a vibrant reception party enlivened by MVP DJs, who owned the stage playing upbeat melodies that put everyone on their feet. If you're wondering who the mastermind behind the dancefloor wrap is, it is none other than M4U Events. This was a fully personalized dance floor with custom vinyl wrap service; Surely a service that exceeded all expectations! The only time the guests stopped dancing was to take a bite of the delicious plates that Moghul Caterers prepared for this reception! Without any doubt, this was a night to remember! Their wedding brochure was made by a dear friend's parent's paper shop, Needle In A Haystack in Dallas, and they couldn't have been happier with the result. They understood the look they were going for and matched the decor perfectly. The smiles, kisses, and good vibes were captured by Memories Studio, who witnessed the atmosphere during the celebration. Don't miss this gallery.

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
It would be remiss of me not to mention our wedding planner, Urvashi, when talking about our wedding. I'm not sure how to explain it other than she knows how to get it done. From all the home events to the events at multiple venues, she executes perfectly, and our guests noticed. She was there from the beginning of wedding planning, providing contacts in India for outfit shopping, down to the last-minute details of how to take care of our guests at the baraat on a hot summer day. We couldn't have had a week-long celebration, and truly it felt like a celebration without her.
How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
I've always envisioned myself in red for the big day, and I knew that I wanted to wear a saree, so this wasn't a tough decision. Although it took ALL day in the Hyderabad heat to find the one, I can't complain because the process couldn't have been easier.
What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
People still talk about the food at our wedding ceremony to this day. We asked for both Telugu traditional lunch items and Gujarati traditional lunch items, and Moghul Caterers hit the nail on the head with this one. From the yogurt rice to the Gujarati dal, I couldn't have been happier with the quality and the variety of dishes they provided.
Anything else you want to tell us? We'd love to hear all about your other details! (jewelry, mehndi, venue, cake, bouquets, etc.)
My wedding brochure was made by a dear friend's parent's paper shop, Needle In A Haystack in Dallas, and I couldn't have been happier with the result. They understood the look I was going for and matched my decor perfectly. It felt really great to have their personal touch be a part of our big day.
Our blog has exciting new details from upscale traditional weddings every day! Come back for more!

Macon, GA Indian Wedding by Bhowmik Dave Films & Photo

Hello, Maharanis! Get ready to enjoy Khushbu & Akash's wedding in today's Platinum Guide Blog.

photo #363708

How did you meet your Groom, and when did you know he was "the one"?
I met my husband (Akash) through his older sister (Bhumi), who was my best friend at the time. I had known her for many years but only knew of Akash through stories. I never really got to see him much because she was married and living with her husband when we met. We stayed friends but didn't get to see each other as often because I had moved to Atlanta for college. I was very introverted and never really wanted to be social or go out and do the "college" things, but after a few years or lots of studying and working a job, I realized that I needed to push myself to be more open to new experiences and enjoy life. Right around this time, Bhumi called me and invited me to a Beyonce concert in Atlanta very last minute, and I decided to go because this would be the perfect start to my new journey plus, Beyonce is my all-time favorite artist, so it was perfect. Akash ended up coming as well, and this was the first time I started crushing on him, but I tried to play it off because I wasn't looking to be in a relationship at the time, and I also felt like he was too good of a catch and that I was way in over my head. A few weeks later, Bhumi called me and invited me on a weekend trip for her birthday. I was very tempted to decline and just take the weekend for myself, but I knew that I would never get those experiences if I didn't push myself out of my comfort zone, so I decided to say yes. Akash ended up coming on the trip as well, and apparently (according to his cousins) was flirting with me the whole weekend, though I never realized it. I knew he would be the perfect guy for me on this trip because we just connected so naturally, and it felt comfortable, and fireworks exploded at the same time. I still didn't say or do anything because I wasn't sure if he liked me. On the last day of the trip, we had our cheesy Bollywood moment when we hugged goodbye, and our keychains interlocked and tugged us back together as we were coming out of our hug. I left and got back to Atlanta when I noticed that he had texted and asked me on a lunch date. I was so upset that I didn't check my phone while I was driving because he lived about 3 hours from Atlanta. Thankfully a week later, he ended up having some job interviews in Atlanta and asked me to dinner. We went and knew that we were the ones for each other and, a week later, introduced our families and never looked back.
Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
I had told Akash that I didn't want to know anything about the proposal and that I wanted it to be a complete surprise. He definitely kept me on the edge of my seat as we had already set a wedding date, and he still hadn't proposed. Finally, when there were only seven months left before the wedding, the big day came. This worked out well for him because I had so many moments leading up to the day where I thought he was going to propose but didn't so by this day, I was more in the mindset that it was not going to happen anytime soon. It was Valentine's Day weekend, and he told me that he had planned a surprise getaway for us. He told me to go ahead and get dressed up as he had reservations for us at a fancy restaurant once we got there. He told me what to pack, and we spontaneously hit the road. I began to have some suspicions that he could propose but was not sure of any details or that it was even going to happen. We reached a cabin on the lake, and there was a steep heel down, so I told him I was just going to change into my slide while we unpacked the car and then change back for the restaurant, but he told me to keep my heels on and at this moment I had a strong suspicion that it was about to happen. He ended up helping me down the driveway and told me to wait in the front while he went to "grab the keys." A few minutes later, my sister and Bhumi (now sister-in-law) opened the front door, and that's when I knew it was happening. We all burst into tears and had our little moment before they walked me down to a spot on the deck while the sun was setting, where I watched a video Akash had put together. I made my way down the hill onto a deck on the lake where Akash was waiting for me. We had our special moment, and then I turned around and saw all of our family and friends waiting on the porch. It was the perfect celebration with our loved ones and is one of the most memorable days of my life
What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
The most enjoyable part of the planning process was getting together with family and friends to do small things here and there such as making gift bags, signing invitations, etc... It was so much fun getting together and goofing around. Watching my favorite people come together with Akash's favorite people and all have so much fun together was so nice and fulfilling. Dance practices were also one of my favorite things, as it was another way to get everyone together. Just seeing all of the love and support we had from our family and friends and watching how excited they were to be a part of this process was amazing.
Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
The best advice I got from everyone was not to stress about the small things and that no one is going to know that something didn't go as planned if you never tell anyone. Any big event is bound to have some things that don't go exactly as you planned but don't allow this to ruin your big day because, at the end of the day, the purpose of a wedding is for you to create memories with your lifelong partner, family, and friends that you will cherish for the rest of your life. Looking back, those things that didn't go as you planned will be minuscule to the joy you will have from your big day.
And that's a wrap for today, lovely Maharanis. I'll see you tomorrow for the next grand romance!
