How did you meet your Groom, and when did you know he was "the one"?
Jake and I went to high school together. We weren't really friends in real life, but we were somehow Facebook friends. Fast forward to years later, we reconnected thru Facebook. I didn't know anyone when I moved to the Bay, and when I went on Facebook to see if I had any connections in the area, Jake popped up. We reconnected, became good friends, and the rest is history.
There wasn't really one moment where I thought, "he's the one." It was more of a series of moments and experiences that built up over time. I fell in love with his character, his brain, his sense of humor -- basically everything about him. Before I knew it, I was sure that I never wanted to be without him.
What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
The best part of wedding planning was all the quality time we got to spend with one another and with our loved ones. It was so fun making happy memories together -- traveling to different places, eating fun foods, practicing our dances, etc.
What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
Many of our guests had never been to an Indian wedding, so a lot of folks enjoyed learning about the rituals and ceremonies that are part of Indian weddings. We also had a live painter, which was pretty cool!
Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
I'll never forget the emotional moment when the pandit asked my parents to place my hand in Jake's, My dad was emotional, and Jake showed so much reverence as he accepted my hand from my parents.
Sweeties, I trust you have enjoyed today's story as much as I have. Come back for more tales!
