Barcelona, Spain Indian Wedding by The Wedding Story

We are back, dolls! This fabulous wedding celebration is getting closer to the end, but we still have some more details to share with you, so let's jump right into it! For this installment, we'll be taking a look at Pirtya & Vijay's fantastic wedding reception. Amore Weddings London was brought on to spearhead the important task of planning this gala to ensure an ultimate dream reception party. And, they nailed it! The event was a cornucopia of Indian flair combined with Renaissance architecture from the Finca Mas Solers, where this reception took place. The striking setting added a ton of allure and glitz to the ambiance that blended with the couple’s dazzling outfits! Maharani Pirtya rocked a gorgeous lengha by Manish Malhotra that seems like a dream come true. Natasha Moor created a fantastic look incorporating nude shades and a burgundy lipstick that made her look like a princess. Raja Vijay followed the line of elegance and style wearing a black tux by Gaurav Gupta, and he ended up looking handsome and imposing. The Wedding Story beautifully captured all the scenes of this grand event, and we are impressed by the talent reflected in each shot. Without any question, this reception was a huge success! But this reception would not have been the same without DJ Milan Kumar who brought his stellar skills to set the mood for this evening. This was most definitely an event to remember, and a perfect combination of tradition and elegance! We wish this event didn't have to come to an end, but we need to let these two follow their way into their happily ever after. The good thing is that you can always be transported back to this fabulous celebration by taking a look at the gallery that we have prepared for you. So make sure to check it out!

Austin, TX Indian Fusion Wedding by Edward B. Photography

Hello, beautiful ladies! We are wrapping up Aanika & Andre's fusion Indian wedding with a fantastic reception party full of elegance and style. But before we jump into it, let's join our two lovebirds in a romantic and fun-loving photo session. This photoshoot captured the most intimate moment of these two just before heading to the JW Marriott Austin, where the reception took place. As you can see on the beautiful shots captured by the lens of Edward B. Photography, Aanika & Andre looked ravishing! Our gorgeous Maharani looked breathtaking in her white attire embroidered with champagne details perfectly complemented with the sleek hairstyle and a discreet makeup by Adore Makeup Salon! And we loved the final result! Raja Andre rocked a black tux, with a button-down white shirt and a champagne bowtie matching his wife's attire! And our heart melts with happiness every time we lay eyes on these beautiful shots! After the photo session, it was time to get the party started! And right from the get-go, we can say that this was a night to remember! But coordinating a wedding reception of this caliber is not easy! That is why Aanika & Andre decided to bring  Pearl Events Austin onboard to take care of the planning and execution. And what a fantastic decision it was! They manage to create a grand event with all the right trimmings, finding their best ally in Bouquets of Austin who took care of the decor. We’re in awe over the mesmerizing ambiance created for this gala! Desi Junction DJs set the dancefloor on fire with the best Bollywood hits while Illos Lighting elevated the heat with a fantastic scheme of lights. Our newlyweds had the time of their lives and ended the night sharing a delicious cake from Quacks Bakery with all their guests. Without any question, this was the best way to bring the wedding festivities to an end. If you want to relive every moment of this love story, head into our gallery for more. You are going to have a blast!

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
Andre and I met in pharmacy school when we were both part of the new student orientation committee. We realized that we lived directly across the street from each other and began hanging out during the summer, watching Game of Thrones and lots of movies together. I realized he was "the one" when I found out he loved Star Wars and music (especially Death Cab for Cutie) as much as I did! And when I learned that he was an intelligent and kind individual who made me laugh all the time.

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
I knew that Andre was going to propose by the end of the year, and in December we both went to our respective home towns for Christmas break to see our families (I went to Austin, he went to San Antonio). The plan was to meet up in California after seeing our families to spend a couple of days skiing at Mammoth, and I suspected he would propose then. However, the day after I got into Austin my mom told me she wanted us to take nice family pictures, so that would involve me showering and wearing a dress. As I was getting ready for our family photos, I noticed that Andre had turned off his location sharing with me on iPhone - this made me immediately suspicious and sure enough, an hour later he called and told me he was outside my house! He picked me up and we drove around Austin visiting all our favorites spots - the UT Austin campus, our old apartments, and the park we used to take our dog. By this time I knew what was going to happen, so it wasn't really a surprise. However, what WAS a surprise was that when we got back to my parents' house a couple of hours later, his entire family and my family were there waiting to greet us with an engagement party - catered by Torchy's Tacos! Celebrating our new engagement with both of our families was the best part and totally unexpected for me.

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
Because we were living in California at the time of our wedding planning but our wedding was set to take place in Austin, we relied heavily on my mom's help with planning our wedding. She scoped out a lot of wedding venues before we flew into town for a quick weekend trip to make the final decision. She also helped us pick out the best vendors! We decided we wanted to have a spring/summer theme by incorporating a lot of bright and happy colors such as mustard yellow, coral, white, and green. We also wanted to incorporate succulents, as both Andre and I had recently gotten into gardening.

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
My family is from a small state in Northeast India called Assam. In Assamese tradition, brides wear a white and gold mekehla chador during their wedding. I decided I wanted to wear a lengha as they fit my smaller frame better. My mom was able to find a very talented designer in Assam who crated my bridal lengha out of handloom woven Assamese paat silk. The final outfit was extremely gorgeous and I was so happy to be able to incorporate traditional Assamese elements into our wedding.

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
Food tasting was definitely a highly enjoyable aspect of the planning process since Andre and I love to eat good food! We loved sampling the different options, and our cake tasting was especially delicious. We also enjoyed picking our flowers for the floral arrangements. Both of our families have deep ties to gardening, and Andre and I had recently taken up gardening as well. It was really great to see what the amazing flowers and arrangements our florists were able to put together.

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
Our guests really loved the endless celebrating throughout our wedding (all three days of it) and the food at our sangeet! One of my friends is still talking about the Indian food from the sangeet night! They also really enjoyed the baraat - we had to get a police permit to close down a street in downtown Austin so it was a quite an extravagant affair! Everyone enjoyed dancing up the street as random people stopped on the side of the road to watch the procession. Andre proclaimed that he had never felt cooler in his whole life than during the baraat!

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
For both Andre and myself, the most special moment of our wedding was right after we were declared husband and wife. We processed up the aisle as our friends and family showered us with rose petals and our favorite song by LCD Soundsystem played in the background. We were both so elated to finally be married to each other, and it was such a purely joyous moment of celebration. Plus LCD Soundsystem playing in the background added our own special touch to the moment!

For events other than your ceremony, please tell us as much as you would like about the decor, style, dances, and all the special details.
Night 1: Juroon and Mehendi
On the first night, our families gathered at my parents' house for a traditional Assamese ceremony called a Juroon, during which the bride and groom's families come together and exchange gifts. Immediately following the Juroon we hosted the Mehendi party - my friends really enjoyed getting their Mehendi done and it was nice to catch up with people in an informal setting.

Night 2: Sangeet
We held our Sangeet at Trinity Hall in downtown Austin, TX. Trinity has an industrial feel to it, which we embraced and accentuated through the use of string lighting and hanging greenery. We also used geometric centerpieces with succulents to accent the hall. My aunties and my mother performed a few dances, including a traditional Assamese dance called the Bihu. My cousins also performed a few dances, and finally, all of my female friends, along with my sister, danced to a Bollywood medley. It was truly a special experience to be surrounded by so many of our loved ones, and to have them put on a show for us!

Day 3: Baraat, Ceremony, and Reception
The Baraat wound its way through downtown Austin to the JW Marriott entrance. We had a mobile DJ and a dohl player, and everyone had a really fun time! Our ceremony was a traditional Hindu ceremony and our priest did a great job explaining what each part of the ceremony symbolized to everyone. Our reception was so much fun and Andre and I truly danced the night away and had a blast!

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
Wedding planning can be extremely stressful, however, it's important to focus on the fact that you're marrying your best friend, and down the line, the small details that went wrong won't matter. What will matter is having that person by your side and celebrating everything you have with them.

That is all for today, ladies But don't forget to join us tomorrow for more!

Newport Beach, CA Indian Wedding by Greycard Photography

Hello, ladies! We are wrapping up Seema & Akshay's love story with a flourish by taking a look at their fantastic wedding reception party held inside the halls of the Newport Beach Marriott. Perfectly planned and executed by Ajita Chopra Events, this reception party was one to remember. This planning team found their best ally in Shawna Yamamoto Event Design to take this event to the next level, and the final result was impressive! We were in awe over the mesmerizing ambiance, featuring multicolored floral arrangements, golden details, and delicate white linens draped by NFP Events. This dreamy atmosphere could only be overtaken by the elegance and beauty of our lovely couple! Seema looked breathtaking thanks to the wavy hairstyle and night makeup featuring smokey eyes that Dolled up by Lulu created for her. And Akshay looked handsome and elegant in his black tux with a white button-down shirt. This event was full of laughter, emotions, love, and surprises! And talking about surprises, it is no secret that everyone was utterly surprised and impressed by the well-choreographed performance from Karmagraphy. They are so talented! After their performance, 3D Sounds set the dance floor on fire thanks to the music and the scheme of lights they set for this reception party. The only time the guests stopped dancing was to take a bite to the delicious plates that Moonsoon Group prepared for this gala. And there was no better way to enjoy these plates than with the beautiful melodies that Ronobir Lahiri Music played live to set the mood for dinner. There is no doubt that this was a night to remember! If you want to relive this entire celebration, you cannot miss the gallery that we have prepared just for you! We have compiled the best shots captured by Greycard Photography for your enjoyment, and believe us; you are going to love it!

Jabalpur, India Indian Wedding by Face Digital Studio

Welcome back, ladies! We are wrapping up our journey through India, by taking a look at Garima & Harshit's wedding reception party! From the get-go, we can say that this reception party held inside the halls of the Shaheed Smarak Sabhagruha was vibrant and fabulous! And we are sure you will love it! When Garima & Harshit decided they wanted to tie the knot in India, they knew how impressive and majestic India can be. So, they wanted their wedding to be extraordinary to keep up with the beauty and radiance that India has to offer! And after taking a look at the different wedding festivities, we can say that they nailed it! And this reception party was the best way to bring those festivities to an end. This time OM Caterers took care of not only the decoration but also the delicious plates that were served during this gala. The decor they put together helped make this event not just elegant, but exquisite, and the tasty dishes added an extra touch of tradition and flavor to the night. Both our lovebirds attended this gala elegantly and fashionably. Garima slipped into a stunning hot pink attire that made her look gorgeous. And we want to take a moment to appreciate the artistic and unique Mehndi design that Shekhar Dubey created for our lovely Maharani and that accompanied her during all the wedding festivities! Raja Harshit followed the line of elegance and tradition set by his now-wife and rocked a burgundy suit that made him look handsome. The night was truly a night to remember that was coming to an end when the newlyweds had the first cut at the sweet and beautiful cake that The Oven Classics prepared for this gala. We are sad to be wrapping up this story because we had a lot of fun, but at the same time, we feel incredibly inspired. Without any question, a piece of our hearts will always be in India and Garima & Harshit’s Indian wedding. But every time you feel sentimental, you can relive this fantast story by taking a look at the gallery that we have prepared for you. So make sure to check it out!

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
We meet in PG college it was not like we feel in love at first sight or something, rather it was totally opposite i was willing to change my section because of him but as god must have already decided our destiny we remain in same section that to with consecutive roll no because of our name initial alphabets G and H. Then there were assignments and projects given to us as team we had lots of fight and interaction with each other, n we both didn't realized since when that arguments converted into the long lovely conversation when we started caring for each other so much but rest of the fellow class member realized it before we could do and then there were rumors about us and then one fine day someone said something about me and Harshit stood for me against those group of people that fine day we came to know that we are for each other how much we mean yo each other and he is the one with whom I would like to grow old...

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
Our proposal story was very unique as he was the one to admit his feelings but that moment I wasn't ready for such a big commitment than everything turns upside down still he remain by my side and after few months I got  on to my knees to propose him with a huge surprise for him and yes he is one of those lucky guys who got the proposal from there girl...then what it was an obvious yes from him

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
My wedding planning was the most enthusiastic thing done by me and my sister, we wanted everything to be very personalized and should be connected with us so we did all by our self rather than herring someone for the job and trust me planning your own wedding will add more memories to it. we both were very clear regarding being very versatile with outfits decor theme n makeup, we didn't want to repeat the colors looks so we had word with all the artist as to what could be done

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
While we were planning the looks for my all wedding function we had a rough sketch that the sangeet would be a indowestetrn, haldi would be something cool n fun, mehndi would something comfortable, engagement would have a huge ball gown and finally, the day would be purely traditional

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
The most enjoyable part of planning was shopping because at that time we all were together, gossiping, chilling, travelling and who doesn't like all that glitters of wedding. I use to love all the wedding bells going round n round

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
The guest love the personalize efforts we have put in the wedding

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
Of-course the most special thing was that we were going to be together after so much of hurdles, as it took us one and half year to convenience our families for the marriage but rather than this seeing the happiness of my dads face keeps replaying in my mind

For events other than your ceremony, please tell us as much as you would like about the decor, style, dances, and all the special details.
It was everyone efforts and time that they have put in my wedding inspite of there busy life, specially my di n jeeju r the one who was there to put that special charm everywhere

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
Just enjoy everything that is the most precious time of life jut live it forget about rest of worries people will take care of it or things would fall in there place anyway. everyone gathered for you feel that special princess feel they are trying to give you

It is time to say goodbye, but we hope to see you tomorrow for more. Until then, have a great one!
