Dallas, TX Indian Fusion Wedding by Steve Koo Photography

Hello, beautiful ladies! We are back with more insights into Simer & Andres' wedding celebration. Just as we saw in the previous entry, this second installment starts with a romantic outdoor photoshoot that was captured thanks to the lens of Steve Koo Photography! And is just that having this beautiful couple in their elegant wedding attires, just a few minutes away from going to the ceremony that will unite their lives forever, who would not want to perpetuate this special moment? After this romantic and intimate photoshoot, it was time to head into the gardens of the Nasher Sculpture Center to start with the wedding ceremony that will mark the beginning of a lifetime of marriage for this lovely young couple. This ceremony was like a dream come true! The fantastic floral arrangements that Prashe created for this outdoor event, provided the perfect setting for this life-changing event! And we know that it is every bride's dream of looking like a princess on her big day, but this time, Simer exceeded all expectations and ended up looking like a complete queen after being glamorized by Jenny Torry Artistry. The beauty and romance that surrounded this event got us shedding a couple of tears of joy, and we cannot stop feeling so happy that Simer & Andres found each other! In the words of Simer: "Who better than your best friend, to be THE ONE". If you cannot get enough of this wedding ceremony, head into our gallery for more!

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
Andres and I met in medical school under the romantic background of coffee and anatomy. As we got to know each other I realized he was becoming my best friend and who better to be “the one” than that.

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
We were in Galveston, Texas visiting his brother. We had planned to go on a morning run along the beach, which I tried to get out of because it was chilly outside. Eventually, he convinced me to go and along the way, there was a cardboard box with a puppy inside. On the puppy’s collar was a note saying his name was Ollie and the guy behind me had a question to ask. I turned around and there was Andres on one knee!

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
Our first decision we made was to get a wedding planner because we were about to move to Chicago to start our residencies and knew planning a wedding in Dallas across the country would be hard. We met Meredith through a recommendation from a friend and everything after that was honestly pretty much easy! She got to know us and was able to make really personalized recommendations that fit our idea perfectly.

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
I entrusted that to my sister who was in India at the time. I knew I wanted traditional red for my Indian lengha and she designed the rest. It turned out perfectly. For my traditional American wedding dress me and my went dressing shopping alone after I had almost quit searching for one. Once I tried on the one we both knew instantly and got it on the spot.

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
Cake tasting, it was a dream come true for a sweet tooth like me.

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
I think I everyone loved how we mixed our cultures throughout the night. Especially the mixes in music that our DJ, Dominic, played. It kept the dance floor packed the whole night.

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
Standing at the altar about half through our vows, church bells from a church across the street started playing and gave me goosebumps during an already priceless moment.

For events other than your ceremony, please tell us as much as you would like about the decor, style, dances, and all the special details.
We did a lady sangeet at my parents' house the night before the wedding. It was as our way of showcasing as much of the vibrancy of Indian Wedding traditions into one night for us. The wedding reception we blended ou Mexican and Indian cultures through food and music. We had elotes during dinner, churros, chai, and kulfi for dessert. The music had mixed Latin songs with a dhol player playing.

Join us at the upcoming wedding reception, we are sure that you are going to love it!

Key Largo, FL Indian Fusion Wedding by Linett Teresa Photography

Hello there, ladies! If you are loving this celebration of love as much as we are, you will be thrilled to know that we are bringing you all the details into Zahra & Bhavishyat's wedding reception party! This is an intimate and fun-loving event that you will enjoy, and from which you can get a lot of inspirational ideas, so let's check it out together! But before we head into it, we want to take you for a walk on the beach so we can appreciate the romantic photoshoot that was carried by Linett Teresa Photography. It is so charming that we can't stop smiling! Once the photo shoot was done, it was time to continue with the reception party. Once again, the mesmerizing landscapes of the Historic Shadow Point were the perfect scenario for Zahra & Bhavishyat to celebrate their recent union in the company of their family and closest friends. Having the beach and the moonlight in the background, combined with the delicate floral arrangements and decor that Linens & More Florida Keys put together for this event, this scene was a dream come true and seemed to be taken out from a fairy tale! There is no wonder why every guest enjoyed this reception to the fullest while dancing and tasting the delicious plates that were prepared by Bombay Darbar. This has been a lovely wedding celebration that we wish didn't have to come to an end. However, you can always relive every moment of it, by taking a look at the gallery that we have prepared for you! Don't head off without checking it out!

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
I met Bhavishyat (Bhavi) through colleagues at work. The connection was very natural like we knew each other from forever. It was my birthday weekend, that he planned a trip to Chattanooga, TN where I realized it had to be him. His loving, affectionate and caring nature made me realize all that I wanted in my Mr. Right, was in him.

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
We were getting ready for a dinner date, he made sure I was in the room as pest control were doing a treatment at home (at least that is what he said). Ready for our dinner outing I stepped outside to flowers showering and Bhavi on his knees.

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
Well, we are from different faiths and were planning a small but fun wedding party with family and friends on a beach in Florida, that helped us celebrate the best of both cultures with people who mattered the most.
It was a real challenge, in fact, I feel we couldn't have done another exercise to know each other and our families soo well. From choosing a location in Key Largo to the venue Historic Shadow Point to getting Anita Amin #AminaEvents to help us coordinate our wedding weekend. To choosing LinettePhotography as our wedding photographer to getting Hair, Makeup and Henna artists in Key Largo. To finding food options that go well for all. To the 2 priests to solemn up man and wife according to Hindu and Muslim traditions. It was a real experience. But the happy faces and the fact that we will be together forever made it all worth it.

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
I went to India for wedding shopping, I wanted a non-traditional color Lehenga for Nikaah. So dark blue and pastel green was an option we choose. For Kalyanum my mother in law felt pink would suit me well so it was a pink and gold and white and pink saree combination.

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
We planned all the details of D day, it was exactly the way we wanted. A mixture of cultures with a lot of fun.

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
Venue and cocktail party

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
Fun times with family and friends

Haldi and Mehndi in the open, with mangal snanum at sunset.

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
Dont stress the small stuff, no one remembers the color of your mandup or dress or the food. You got to enjoy D day.

Anything else you want to tell us? We'd love to hear all about your other details! (jewelry, mehndi, venue, cake, bouquets, etc.)
All local talent, cheaper.

We have lovely and inspiring stories every day, so we hope to see you tomorrow for a new one! Until then, have a great day and keep that inspiration going!

New York City, NY Indian Fusion Wedding by Ivash Studio

Hello, ladies! We are really excited to unveil Shaivi & Oscar's wedding reception. When we were taking a first glance to the amazing shots captured by Ivash Studio, we were speechless as this wedding reception is out of this world! So, without further due, lets head into The Pierre A Taj Hotel New York so we can join our lovebirds in this reception party. The spacious ballroom was transformed into a magical setting that seemed almost surreal. The delicate color selection, the dim lights, the fancy chandeliers, and the overall decoration that Urvashi Mishra in conjunction with Ovando put together for this event, was absolutely amazing and captivating and it definitely helped in making this a unique and memorable event. Even though this scenario was already impressive on its own, it was our gorgeous Shaivi who stole all the looks, as she looked flawless on her champagne dress that was designed by Tarun Tahiliani. This beautiful attire was very well complemented with the exquisite makeup and hairstyle that Style by Susmita created for this event. And we are loving the final look! This was a night to remember, and everyone had a great time and danced the night out. Without any doubt, this was the dreamy reception that Shaivi & Oscar always imagined! If you can't get enough of this beautiful celebration of love, you cannot miss the gallery that we have prepared for today! It is the perfect way to get into the weekend!
