Hello, Maharanis! Are you ready to have some fun? Because Priyanka & Jasjit's reception party will make you want to dance! If you are up for a party, let's head inside the Waldorf Astoria Palm to participate in this vibrant and fantastic event. The ballroom was beautifully ambiance for this reception party thanks to the work of Vivaah Weddings. The delicate placement of the ornaments, the vibrant scheme of lights and the delightful selection of flowers used to create the most beautiful floral arrangements that we have seen in a while, enlighten the ballroom and created a dreamy atmosphere that could only be overtaken by the presence of our lovely couple. Priyanka looked astonishing on her champaign dress that was beautifully designed by Brides of Sabyasachi, and Jasjit did not stay behind and rocked an elegant black suit. We are loving the modern and classy style of both our lovebirds! The smiles, the emotions, and the good atmosphere did not stop throughout the whole evening, and all the guests were having the time of their lives. And as the evening drew to a close, Priyanka & Jasjit cut the most spectacular 5 tier wedding cake! Undoublty this was a fascinating reception and we are lucky that every moment of it got captured thanks to the remarkable talent of The Wedding Story. It is time for this trip to Dubai to get to an end, but you can always be transported back to this magical place by taking a look at the gallery that we have prepared for you. It will take your breath away!

Cambridge, MD Indian Wedding by Modern Frames Photography

Hello, ladies! It is great you could make it to this elegant and stylish reception party! For this installment, we will take you to one of the ballrooms on the impressive Hyatt Chesapeake Bay for you to join Anjali & Rohit on their wedding reception. This is a celebration that we are sure, you will love! Vivaah Weddings helped plan this grand affair, while the great work of Glamorous Event Planners & Productions combined with the talent of MVP DJs created an elegant atmosphere that set the mood for this reception party. The dim lights, the beautiful placement of all the ornaments and the smokey ambiance, created the most epic and memorable scenario for our lovely couple to have their first dance as husband and wife. They literally enlightened the dance floor while they were performing a well-choreographed partner dance thanks to the amazing scheme of lights that M4U Events put together for this special moment. This was one of the most anticipated moments of the evening and did not let anyone down! Everyone in the room had a great time and danced the night out while joining our lovely couple on this special and fun-loving party. Without a doubt, this was a night to remember! And it is thanks to the lens of Modern Frames Photography that we can enjoy this celebration of love. If you want to check more of this reception, head into today's gallery! It is going to amaze you!

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
I was about to finish my masters program for occupational therapy when Rohit introduced the idea of celebrating by traveling to Aruba for a relaxing getaway before I started my fieldwork and before I got busy studying for the board exam. I didn't know how I would ever get my parents to agree, however, Rohit ultimately ended up convincing me to ask them. Which, by the way, they never really agreed to - they told me to do what I thought was best.

As the days got closer, I was a little skeptical that Rohit was going to propose in Aruba, however, my friends were in on the plan and down played the situation. When we were in Aruba, Rohit made every night so special that I really did not suspect a thing.

The second to last evening of the vacation, Rohit told me that he scheduled a private wine tasting on the beach with a sommelier. I still didn't think anything was out of the ordinary because I love going to wine tastings. During the wine tasting, the sommelier briefly interrupted, which was when Rohit took me on a walk along the beach and surprisingly proposed. Although Rohit surprised me with the proposal, our amazing family surprised us both with a private chef and dinner on the beach. It was the perfect ending to the night and we were able to call many friends and family to share the wonderful news.

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
We visited various venues and they all had their own unique flair, but, once we found the Hyatt in Cambridge, we knew it was the perfect destination. It was a location that made the wedding feel like a vacation without the need for friends/family to travel too far from home. The hospitality of Kate Hopkins and her team from the Hyatt was amazing. They were always open-minded to the various ideas that we were trying to do at the resort. A common theme we noticed throughout the planning process was that we primarily stuck with vendors that brought us positive energy like Kate. For instance, Eric DeHaven, our photographer from Modern Frames Photography, was such an easy-going person to work with and he was the first vendor we booked. Sunita & Tejal from Glamorous Events did whatever it took to impress us with decorations/planning without needing a crazy amount of direction.  Dimpy from Moghul catering was always trying to wow us with their artistic and delicious food, which truly showed for each event. Josh (JRK) from MVPDJs grew up during the same generation and we connected instantly with our music tastes, which made the baraat and reception that much more fun. Bhavna from Henna & Arts cared about every element and helped me create a story which represented both of our families within my mehndi.  Esha and Meshi from Glam n Glow kept me calm the entire time that I was getting my hair/makeup done and truly made me feel comfortable with my look (I'm a simple girl who doesn't like getting dolled up). Overall, we just wanted to be surrounded by people who were uplifting, funny, sweet, and caring, and we are so fortunate for everything they all did to make our day so special.

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
I have always been the type of person who needs to try on something to really know if I like it. I really didn't want to travel oversees, so my mom, dad, and I went to all the desi shops in Edison, NJ. I tried on so many outfits, but when I tried on my wedding ceremony lengha, I knew it was the one because I didn't want to take it off. I made the jump to purchase it without overthinking it too much and I am so happy that I found my dress by using my first instinct and it was such a relief to not have to worry too much about it.

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
The most enjoyable part of the planning process was the extra time I was spending with my family and friends. Rohit and I are very lucky to have them and planning with them made the process so much more fun. I spent a lot of my time with my parents, soaking in every last bit of them before my final move. I bonded a lot with my sister in law, Promita, who was a complete life savor throughout it all. I also really got to know my mother in law during the process and now we don't go more then a couple days without talking to each other!

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
We really tried to put a lot of thought into our guests' experience for the wedding. We wanted them to have a memorable time and to truly enjoy themselves. I think the guests loved all the outdoor venues that were offered by the Hyatt Chesapeake Golf Resort because it made it almost like a getaway trip without being too far from home. We also made sure they were fed the entire time because no one likes to be hangry.

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
As soon as I entered the venue, I felt love everywhere I went. I was initially greeted at the hotel by my nieces who drew me a picture of me as a bride. I then walked into my suite and was surprised with a special plate of homemade pani puri from my mother in law and father in law, they know me too well! My cousin's Shanna and Miguel delivered my favorite tacos all the way from El Agave in Catonsville, MD right before our Sangeet night, knowing I probably wouldn't have time to eat at the event itself. My husbands aunt and uncle brought us special craft beer all the way from Red Tank in Red Bank, NJ. On top of all the treats, our friends and family put together an amazing performance which brought so much energy to the entire weekend. Those are just a handful of generous and thoughtful things that our friends and family did to make us feel so special. The personal love we received throughout our wedding week from everyone was really indescribable.

Thank you for joining us on this amazing love story! We hope you have a wonderful weekend, and we hope to see you back on Monday as we have more stories to come!
