Seattle, WA Indian Wedding by Jerome Tso Photography

Welcome back, beautiful ladies! We are glad you could join us to continue enjoying this nuptial celebration. This time, we will be heading to the wedding ceremony in a vibrant and joyful Baraat procession that you don't want to miss. So, let's jump right into it! We love how Akhil decided to embrace a traditional style and show up at the Baraat procession riding a white horse decorated with traditional Indian fabrics! This colorful procession created a striking scene that combined modern architecture on the buildings with classic Indian colors and attires! And we cannot stress how much we love this scene! After the arrival of the Baraat, our two lovebirds were ready to go inside the exclusive Fairmont Olympic Hotel to proceed with the wedding ceremony that joined their lives forever. Once again, the talented folks from Universal Decor managed to surprise us with another lovely decoration and with a captivating Mandap. The combination of soft colored adornments with multicolored floral arrangements from Nalini's Flowers and Decor is fantastic! There is no doubt that this was a dreamy ceremony that everyone loved and enjoyed to the fullest. And we want to make a special shoutout to Jerome Tso Photography for perpetuating this solemn and life-changing event in such a beautiful way. Through each shot, you get to relive this wedding ceremony, and you get to feel the same emotions that surrounded this adorable event. If you want to check out more of this wedding ceremony, don't miss today's gallery! You are going to love it!

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
Nowadays, online dating is the way most people meet. But, that’s not how we met. We took the more traditional route...paper dating (aka biodatas). His biodata was sent through a family friend. Little did I know, this would be the beginning of our love story. We slowly got to know each other via text and FaceTime, which our first FaceTime session lasted 6 hours! He was easy to talk to and we surprisingly had a lot in common (down to carrot cake being our favorite!). It was then, I knew he was a keeper!

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
My groom, been born and raised on an island, we knew our engagement would take place at his home island, Saint Croix. Only after a short 6 months, we fell in love and took the dive into getting engaged. My entire family flew down to the US Virgin Islands to celebrate our engagement. Everyone knew about his proposal plans...except for me, of course. All this time, I thought the engagement ceremony would be his proposal. I was wrong. He proposed in the middle of the Caribbean Sea, next to Buck Island. With only crystal clear water surrounding us, he got down on one knee. He was smart...even if I had said “no”, I would have nowhere to go. Lucky for him, I said “yes”.

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
Our wedding took place in Seattle, WA. And lucky for me, my husband and I did everything together. Venue hunting was probably the most difficult task during the wedding planning process. A lot of the vendors we chose were recommendations from family and friends. Also, social media played a huge part in vendor hunting.

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
I’m thankful for my mom, she spent hours around Mumbai shopping for my bridal clothing. That also included being woken up at 2-3am for 2 weeks to pick out clothes through WhatsApp video. I knew I wanted to wear something traditional for the wedding (red and white). And for my Sangeet, my husband and I decided to wear similar colors and that worked out perfectly. And for my reception, I wanted to wear something more western so I went with a formal gown.

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
One of the best parts about wedding planning was definitely all the hours we put into dance practice for the Sangeet. This brought all the immediate and extended family together to be part of the planning process and it was absolute joy!

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
We were so happy that everyone loved everything the vendors provided eg. the decorations, food, music, our photographer/videographer, and florist. We had a lot of family flying in from all over the country and even from India. Everyone had a blast during our Sangeet, as in literally everyone was on the dance floor for hours!

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
When I walked down the aisle to the mandap was my special moment. Seeing my future husband standing there waiting for me, all teary-eyed, made everything worth it.

For events other than your ceremony, please tell us as much as you would like about the decor, style, dances, and all the special details.
We absolutely loved our decor for Sangeet and the reception. For the Sangeet, we went more towards Rajasthani style. Very vibrant colors, colorful camels as centerpieces on the tables, bright draping and beautiful Rajasthani umbrellas all around (the best part). For the reception, we went more fancy with blush pink draping and beautiful white flowers with gold columns. We had a dance floor for both Sangeet and Reception, and of course dhol players are a must! We had our special first dance with a fog machine. All the kiddos enjoyed the glow sticks during the dance party at the reception.

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
I would say, just take your time and relax. The best advice I received during my planning process is that if anything goes wrong, your guests will never know. They won’t know what’s supposed to happen and what’s not. Keep that in mind the day of the wedding, because it definitely isn’t worth the stress. Delegating tasks as much as you can on the day of is super important. You can’t be everywhere so use your bridesmaids, family members, friends, etc. they’re to help! Also, truly enjoy yourself at your wedding, it’s YOUR big day. Lastly, sleep, sleep, sleep!

We still have one more stop before we wrap this celebration up! So, don't miss the upcoming wedding reception!

Newport Beach, CA Stylized Shoot by Kelly Waterman Photography

Hello ladies! Today is been a day full of inspirational ideas, but we still have a couple more ideas for you, so get yourself ready to take some notes! When it comes to planning a reception party, there are a couple of things you need to have in mind: To start, you need to have a great venue and a perfect decoration, and the way that Los Angeles Floral Couture decored and ambiance the exclusive halls of the Fashion Island Hotel for this stylized photo shoot is a perfect example from which you can take great inspirational ideas! The color palette used on the floral arrangements and decor is elegant and captivating, and it creates a beautiful setting suitable for a wedding reception party! Another important thing that you need to take into account, is to have a great DJ and an incredible scheme of lights! In the end, this is a time for you to have fun, and what better way to do it, than having a great DJ like DJ Jesse G! He is well known for his talent and the way he keeps up with the different activities that happen during these reception parties. Finally, remember that the first cut at the cake is a highly anticipated moment at a wedding reception, so having a beautiful cake, like the one that Puffect Bakery and Cafe prepared for this photo shoot will give an extra touch to this memorable moment! If you have followed this entire entry, we are sure that you have gathered a lot of ideas to start planning your wedding, however, if you still need something extra, you cannot miss today's gallery! How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
Ifty and I have known each for a few years but were more acquaintances. I am a wedding planner and we had done a few events together and knew each other on a personal level. One day we went out for a bite, our one dinner turned into hours of just sitting and talking about everything. I knew he was the one after our first official date. After our dinner, we decided to walk over to the beach (it was a beautiful summer night) we went to the beach around 10:30 pm, around 11:30 pm it started pouring! We ran for shelter, but as we were running towards the covered area we stopped for a minute in the pouring rain and stared at each other. In that minute I just knew, that he was going to be the man that I spent the rest of my life with. I knew that I wanted to enjoy every single thunderstorm, every single summer shower with him.

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
Walking down the altar and locking eyes with him. I remember being very nervous walking down the aisle and as soon as I saw him, he started to laugh which gave me all the confidence to walk down the aisle and smile as I was walking.

Make sure to come back tomorrow to relive more unparalleled wedding stories!
