Newport Beach, CA Indian Wedding by Andy Shah Photography

We’re back in beautiful Newport Beach, celebrating the union of Meghna and Bhavin in their traditional Hindu wedding. We’re loving the outdoor ceremony setup by 2CreateDesigns, featuring oodles of fuchsia and red florals and gauzy linens. We can almost feel the sunshine and cool breeze while perusing these photos! Handsome Bhavin made his grand arrival in a joyous baraat accompanied by the infectious sounds of Fusion Sounds & Lighting. The bride and groom were a match made in heaven as they reunited under the mandap to follow the cultural traditions of their Hindu heritage in a meaningful ceremony. The bride’s lengha was a celebration of Bollywood, intertwining cream and ruby hues ever so beautifully. Beauty by NG (Nida Gazi) created a bombshell beauty look for this stunning bride, while Henna Dil Se adorned her arms in legs in mesmerizing henna patterns. Planning extraordinaires from Shilpa Patel Events were there to ensure that all the events were seamless in transition, and the resulting festivities were pure perfection. All the magical images captured by Andy Shah Photography can be found in our full gallery!

Newport Beach, CA Indian Wedding by Andy Shah Photography

These California sweethearts have the kind of love that dreams are made of! Meghna and Bhavin had an adorable courtship and fairytale engagement. Soon after the sweet proposal, the duo began planning their Newport Beach soiree with excitement and style! Every bride dreams of that perfect wedding outfit: one that intertwines heritage and chicness. Meghna’s ensemble epitomized modern sophistication while containing tons of Bollywood flair. We’re loving the ruby red and cream hues, encrusted with tons of embroidery and sequins. Meghna’s hair and makeup was kept soft and regal by Beauty by NG (Nida Gazi), and she took our breath away with her beauty. And of course, no Indian bride would be complete without her arms and legs adorned with intricate mehndi designs, so Henna Dil Se applied gorgeous motif henna patterns to our stunning Maharani! In our next post we’ll dive into all the ceremony action, which blasted off with a baraat accompanied by Fusion Sounds & Lighting. While you wait, head into the full gallery shot by Andy Shah Photography for your daily dose of love!

South New Berlin, NY Fusion Indian Wedding by Andrew Henderson Photography

We wrap up our feature honoring Rachna and Benjamin with their fab wedding reception celebrating all things rustic + glam. Right off the bat we noticed all of the event’s whimsical details, including table assignments etched onto glass, jaunty floral arrangements, and the most decadent array of sweets. It is no shock that A Rose is a Rose Florist and Rachna Patel were responsible for the gorg planning/floral and decor elements adorning the Gilbertsville Farmhouse, including strings of fairy lights and glimmering chandeliers. The centerpiece of the evening were the radiant newlyweds of course, with Rachna dolled up in swirling henna and an angelic white gown. The bride’s natural beauty was played up with sultry lips and glowing skin. Raaz Entertainment served the ultimate role of ensuring that not only was the dance floor lit, but that guests boogied all night long. The evening ended with a nonstop dance party under the twinkling lights. What an epic celebration! Enjoy all the romantic goodness captured by Andrew Henderson Photography in our full gallery.

South New Berlin, NY Fusion Indian Wedding by Andrew Henderson Photography

We are swooning with delight over Rachna and Benjamin’s fusion Indian wedding out of New York. This darling duo were engaged in ultra sweet style. Rachna told us, “We went hiking upstate for my birthday weekend. We were at a cliff’s edge with a beautiful waterfall. My husband asked a group of friends to take our picture and he got down on one knee and proposed!!” Aw. With their obvious love of nature, it made sense that the duo had an outdoor (but totally glam) wedding. Their Gilbertsville Farmhouse venue was one of a kind, with the ceremony taking place in an open field overlooking a valley and gorgeous nature preserves. The couple and their guests also had a blast spending the weekend glamping on the ground of the venue. After getting dolled up, Rachna was ready to head down the aisle to meet her beloved. She was accompanied by her gorg bridesmaids who were lovely in navy sari lehengas by Nazranaa. This wedding has us dreaming of sunshine and soothing breezes - It looked like such a refreshing affair.  Not to mention, this bride resembled a true Maharani with her smoky eyes, dewy skin, and petal pink lips. The ceremony was filled with laughter and emotional moments, and there wasn’t a dry eye in sight. Excuse us while we grab a tissue and peruse the full gallery for more amazing Indian fusion wedding fun by Andrew Henderson Photography. Next up, the dazzling reception soiree!

Here at Maharani Weddings, we adore observing an Indian bride get ready for her ceremony. After all, it is the most important walk she’ll ever take, so the beauty and fashion stakes are extra high! For Rachna and Benjamin’s Indian fusion ceremony, this Maharani was an utter bombshell in hair and makeup by Kelly Russo, Gina Tarbell Makeup, and Jessica Lafata. These artists have mastered their craft, and Rachna was one happy bride is flowing waves and rosy cheeks. The bride donned a sweeping white gown that was the perfect contrast to her ruby red mehndi and twinkling maang tikka. What a perfect blend of the best of Eastern and Western traditions. Also, we are loving Rachna’s adorable bridesmaids, who provided her with plenty of laughs and positive vibes during the pre-ceremony festivities. And their navy and gold sari lehengas from Nazranaa were simply sensational. Such a gorg bridal party. We’re tearing up over Rachna and Benjamin’s first look photos on the rustic grounds of the Gilbertsville Farmhouse. These lovebirds are truly a match made in heaven. These snaps are just the sneak peeks, but take a gander at the full gallery by Andrew Henderson Photography for more wedding fun! And scroll below for our interview with Maharani Rachna.

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!

We went hiking upstate for my birthday weekend. We were at a cliff’s edge with a beautiful waterfall. My husband asked a group of friends to take our picture and he got down on one knee and proposed!!

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?

I know that I wanted to wear a traditional American gown with lace, off white, for the wedding and reception. Even though l would have loved to wear an Indian outfit as well, it didn’t work out that way. So, I asked my bridesmaids to wear a lengha sari instead to incorporate my culture into the mix.

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?

The best part of planning was being able to see our vision come to life on the day of the wedding. We went for a rustic chic look and it came out perfect. It was a lot of planning and hard work since it was basically a DIY wedding, but it was worth it in the end.

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?

They loved the relaxed atmosphere of the wedding and the venue. They stated that the ceremony was in particular one of the best they have been a part of. My husband and I incorporated parts of both our cultures (Hindu/Jain & American/Native American) into the 30 min ceremony and it was perfect. They said that our wedding was one of, if not, the best weddings they have ever attended.
