Chicago, IL Pakistani Wedding by Maha Studios

Maharanis, there are so many special details from Meena and Tariq’s Chicago, IL Pakistani wedding weekend that we’re overwhelmed with what to recap first! We’ll begin with the couple’s chosen wedding date of December 24th. Since the holidays are such a festive time of year, celebrating Meena and Tariq’s union was such a joyous and cozy way to enjoy a Midwest Christmas Eve. We’re also big fans of their Chicago Hilton Hotel venue choice, because with over 1000 guests, a central downtown location ensured that all parties had plenty to experience during moments of downtime. Before the mehndi, Maha Studios took some dazzling portraits of the couple in a lush Chicago arboretum, and the photos are instant framers! Maharanis, some of the most gorgeous pre wedding portraits we’ve seen have been taken in indoor botanical gardens, since nothing beats the natural light, vibrant vegetation, and contained environment of these spaces. Of course, a large reason for the beauty of the photos was the lovely couple! Meena wore a regal white gown featuring turquoise trim, with artistic hair and makeup created by the experts at Makeup by Francesca. We are in awe of the intricate beading and embellishments adorning the bodice of her gown - such stunning artistry. Raja Tariq also looked dapper in a refined navy blue suit that complimented his Maharani perfectly! Soon after this portrait session, the couple attended their sangeet. The event was a fun filled affair and included creative wedding favors that you’ll definitely want to see. (i.e. an adorable bangle tree!) In our next post, we’ll delve deeper into Meena and Tariq’s wedding celebrations, which included fabulous decor by Shaadi Creations and delicious catering by Shahi Nihari. For a sneak peek, peruse the complete gallery by Maha Studios!

Atlanta, Georgia Indian Wedding by Elevate Creations

We hear a good love story (did you read Alisha and Sumeet’s tale here?) and sadly we wrap up another gorgeous Indian wedding. The bride looked dazzling for all of her events but it was a sweeping, champagne anarkali that truly stole the show. Blended with the perfect classical hairdo by Glamour Hair, Makeup & Bridal and mehndi by Nikki of Beauty you Deserve; this Maharani was ready for her party! The reception party took a page from F. Scott Fitzgerald’s masterpiece and interwove blacks and gold for the ultimate, classy touch. Ragini of Weddings InStyle dazzled the Grand Hyatt Atlanta in Buckhead with metallic accents and geometric details that took guests breaths away. Family and friends dined on delectable cuisine from Mast Masala Catering before hitting the dance floor with a perfectly curated playlist by Indaglow Productions. Get lost in all the love, laughter and memories captured by Elevate Creations by heading into our gallery.

Atlanta, Georgia Indian Wedding by Elevate Creations

Today we are at the Grand Hyatt Atlanta in Buckhead honoring the special union of Maharani Alisha and Sumeet. This Bollywood bride was swimming with elegance in a stark red wedding lengha that was a designer piece to say the least. When it comes to choosing your color for your wedding ensemble, there is a variety of choices but this bride knew she wanted to keep her color palette classical and memorable. I could just tell that each detail of Alisha’s wedding, spearheaded by Nadira Merali with Envi Event, was preciously articulated. Ragini of Weddings InStyle ensured that the venue was fit for royalty and designed an open mandap with sheer trimmings. As you peruse through the photos in the gallery captured by Elevate Creations, take a note of how gorgeous Alisha looks with her beauty squad consisting of Gunn Glamour Hair, Makeup & Bridal and Nikki of Beauty you Deserve

Atlanta, Georgia Indian Wedding by Elevate Creations

There are so many gorgeous details surrounding Alisha and Sumeet’s grand Indian wedding and we absolutely cannot wait to share all the grand details. No Indian bride would be complete without her beauty squad and makeup by Glam by Ruthie dolled the bride up with Gunn Glamour Hair, Makeup and Bridal ensuring that not a single bobby pin was out of place. Nikki from Beauty you Deserve outfitted the bride with intricate mehndi. I absolutely love how the architectural motif designs blend both Bollywood traditions with modern sophistication. One of the most treasured moments of the wedding was the first look which left our hearts swooning. Take a look at some of our favorite shots and watch the whimsical day unfold before your eyes with our gallery captured by Elevate Creations.

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?

Sumeet and I have known each other for a while. My friends and I made a trip to Chicago to celebrate NYE in 2012 and Sumeet and his friends came to Chicago also. After that, we started talking and then he asked me to be his girlfriend on March 14, 2013 and then 2 years later he proposed and asked me to marry me! It was so perfect.

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!

Sumeet brought me back to Chicago during our 2 year anniversary.  On March 14, 2015, he took me to Lincoln Park and asked me to marry him. He had all of our friends and family come to Chicago, which was a HUGE surprise! It was absolutely perfect!

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.

I am the type of girl that likes to be organized.  Decor theme and color schemes were what I stood by.  For my mendhi party, I wanted it on the rooftop of our hotel that we had our festivities at, and it just turned out beautiful. For my Saatak, I had a green/floral theme. For my wedding, it was a winter wonderland theme, filled with blue, gold, and white.  For our reception, I loved the Gatsby look, so we stuck with a black and gold theme--sprinkled with champagne.

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?

I had looked everywhere and anywhere to stumble upon my wedding dress, and I finally did. I went to Archana Kocchar in Mumbai and showed her what I wanted and she made my imagination wedding outfit a reality. I loved the idea of having a full red outfit.

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?

The most enjoyable part was just picking all the vendors and decor for my wedding. Just making all my Pinterest boards become a reality was so exciting to see.

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?

Sumeet and I look back at our wedding and we are so grateful that we have so many people in our lives that are genuinely happy for us. The guests at our wedding were enjoying all the company and the joining of our families. It was truly a blessing to have amazing people in our lives.

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?

If I had any advice for future brides, it would be: enjoy the process! Enjoy every second of your weekend because it will be over before you know it.

You don’t want to miss a beat and with Indaglow Productions on the turntables, stay tuned for one rocking party!

Monterey, CA, Indian Wedding by Matei Horvath Photography

Today’s last feature set in the wonderful city of Monterey is a nod to all things glam, glitzy and gorgeous. Planned and designed immaculately by both Bobby and Daljeet Bhogal and Samantha Davis of the Hyatt Regency Monterey Hotel and Spa on Del Monte Golf Course, all the puzzle pieces fell perfectly with the grande finale. Well Groomed Inc. was the premier design company that helmed all the wonderful ensembles you see across Neha’s features. From a majestic lengha displaying shimmering colors for her wedding day to a shimmering champagne saree gown; each bridal outfit of choice was a masterpiece. The couple hosted the reception party in the spacious quarters of the Hyatt which was transformed by Flor de Monterey with a palette that included shades of gold and blues. Guests danced on fine Indian cuisine from Turmeric while dancing the night away Nor-Cal Events Specialists lighting up the dance floor. The cinematic highlight by Paul Ortiz Films is a must play for major South Asian Wedding inspiration. Want more of these lovebirds? Head to the gallery captured by Matei Horvath Photography to see their entire soiree.
