Maharani Aleena on choosing her bridal lenghas:

"My husband was really looking forward to having a big, colorful, Indian wedding. As such, he decided he did not want to wear a gold or ivory sherwani, but instead chose to wear teal. I had long since decided against red, and was considering magenta, but once he decided on teal, I decided that, since we had a daytime spring wedding ceremony, I would wear coral with teal and gold accents. I worked very closely with Surinder Bedi of Image Boutique Shop to develop my 2 wedding lenghas. Because I am relatively short, Mrs. Bedi helped me design both lenghas to make me look a little taller. My mom had bought me a gorgeous rani-haar gold necklace for the ceremony and Geoff had bought me a stunning diamond necklace in place of a mangal-sutra. Mrs. Bedi helped me design both outfits to highlight my jewelry. I told her that I really wanted to stand out in my reception outfit, which I had chosen to be magenta, but also wanted some degree of florals. I showed her 2 outfits that I had loved online - one was kitchdi work with Swarovski crystals and sequins, and the other was beautiful floral embroidered lengha. She helped combine the two so that I had embroidered flowers on a bed of kitchdi work with Swarovski crystals that accented the diamond jewelry I wore for the reception. I truly felt like a Maharani in both of my stunning lenghas."

Check out the reception, next!

Maharani Aleena on her favorite part of wedding planning:

"I really enjoyed working with my decorator, Ragini Patel, alongside with my planner, Nadira Merali. I had some pretty unique ideas regarding my wedding. I wanted a simple mandap with floral bunches, ivory and gold drapery throughout the ballroom. I also wanted a floral arrangement that was both elegant and tropical. Ragini helped me design an arrangement including shades of pink roses, tulips, and starburst lillies with palm fronds and ferns that was absolutely stunning. Additionally, we decided to do a kitschy Punjabi-style rickshaw with yellow carnations for the Baraat, and Ragini and Nadira made it happen. From the very beginning, I had wanted decor that would stop people in their tracks, and between the floral chandeliers, monogrammed dance floor, and stunning view, I have to say that decorating was my absolute favorite part of planning."

We'll share the ceremony featuring Weddings InStyle's fabulous decor when we return!

Maharani Caitlin, on shopping for the perfect reception lengha:

"I spent hours on Pinterest then spent a weekend with my husband's family on Devon Street in Chicago and bought my beautiful reception lengha at Sahil."

On her most memorable wedding moments:

"The dances our family members did were magical, as were the speeches given by our loved ones. Finally, getting to eat lunch in my hotel room, alone, after the ceremony was magical! We were so hungry, we didn't even untie the knot from the ceremony."

On her and Raja Sri's first dance song selection:

""Can't Help Falling In Love" by Elvis Presley. We heard it randomly on the trip to Cape Town when we got engaged and decided that was going to be our first dance song."

On her unique wedding cake toppers:

"Our cake was so delicious and pretty. Almond cake, raspberry filling, and real French buttercream frosting. My mom spray painted two plastic lions (a male and female) with gold spray paint and that was the topper (our last name, Kesari, means lion). Now those lions sit on top of our refrigerator as a daily reminder of our special day."

What a fabulous affair Caitlin and Srikanth had, right Maharanis? We'll be dreaming of it all weekend! Make sure to stop by our Vendor Guide to get to know our newest Platinum members!:
