The bride, on her wedding style:

"I wanted to keep it very simple, elegant and classy. I first started with the themes or color palettes I wanted for each function: for example, the ring ceremony was an elegant affair, with draping around the entire room for an intimate, romantic feel. My outfit was a dark navy color with antique bronze work throughout. We added small personalization affects to each function, and for the ring ceremony we chose an all white and blue candy bar plus well-needed hangover kits for our lovely guests.
Again, we kept it very simple and focused on keeping our guests happy!"

Stick around to see the happy couple strike a post for the camera in their reception portraits!

Maui, HI Destination Indian Fusion Wedding by Andrew Chan Weddings

The moment has come for this delightful duo to say their I do's at their dream Destination Indian fusion wedding, meticulously planned by Mira Savara Events! Our Maharani wanted her bridal sari to represent her groom's Gujarati roots, so Studio East 6 had one custom-made for her in India, which is embroidered with Swarovski crystals! She looks ravishing in red and gold! Andrew Chan Weddings takes us to the Makena Beach & Golf Resort for their romantic outdoor ceremony overlooking crystal blue waters! To complement such a magnificent backdrop, Bella Grace Flowers frames the mandap with vibrant floral arrangements! See more matrimonial highlights of this captivating event in the gallery!

From the bride, on the fashion:

"I wanted to wear a sari for the wedding to stick with Gujarati tradition. My Indian clothing consultant (Studio East6) had a sari custom made for me from India. She knew I liked detailed thread-work so she had my sari made with lots of beautiful gold embroidery with Swarovski crystals delicately scattered all over it. The gold silk blouse style and the cream netting on the "skirt" portion of the sari added a little modern touch to a traditional red bridal sari. I also wanted to wear a "white" bridal evening gown for the reception. I picked out the champagne beaded gown by designer, Maggie Sottero, because of the beautiful beadwork all over it. I wanted a backless gown and this one fit me perfectly."

On the hair and makeup:

"My hair and makeup artists did an amazing job on my wedding day looks... I wanted to stay pretty natural and still look and feel like myself. They made me feel absolutely beautiful and were so sweet to work with. Makeup by Jessica Waite and her hair stylist was Annemarie."

On the wedding style:

"We wanted to have traditional elements of a Gujarati wedding but also the feel of an intimate tropical destination wedding. We already had a full traditional Chinese wedding in Hong Kong several months before, so this wedding in Hawaii was mostly a blend of Indian and western cultures with a touch of Chinese traditions. The two of us love nature and the outdoors so all of our events with the exception of the reception were outdoors. The weather was perfect and the sunset over the ocean each evening could not have been more magical."

On planning:

"I LOVE flowers and those were the most exciting thing for me to pick out. Our florist did an amazing job with all of the arrangements and displays. We had flowers everywhere!"

The wedding and reception portraits are still ahead!

Las Vegas, NV South Indian Fusion Wedding by Fabio and Adri Photography

Moments before saying their I do's in a South Indian fusion wedding ceremony, our lovebirds meet up with Fabio and Adri Photography for a fashionable first look photo shoot in Las Vegas! Our Maharani looks gorgeous in her white and gold get-up, holding a stunning bouquet designed by Robert's Florist Shop! Cozying up next to her is who else than her handsome groom in a sharp three-piece suit! And not only did Randhi's aunt design her sensational sari, but also the bridesmaids' ensembles! I love the coral and gold color combo! Every member of the wedding party looks amazing especially the adorable mini versions! I can't wait to see everyone take their place at the wedding, but in the meantime, head over to the gallery to see the awesome baraat photos!

Marina del Rey, CA Indian Wedding by Lin & Jirsa Photography

At Aditya and Runjhun's posh Indian wedding reception, magnificent hues of gold and corals encompass the grand ballroom of The Ritz-Carlton Marina del Rey in Southern California! Shawna Yamamoto Event Design decorates the dinner tables with sheer white fabric and charming floral centerpieces, therefore creating an elegant and romantic ambiance. For the guests' viewing pleasure, Special Occasions DJ & Lighting turns up the music and turns down the lights so our lovely newlyweds could take the floor for their first dance. I wish I got an invite to this lavish soirée, meticulously coordinated by Planning Elegance! I know you're still hungry for more so take a virtual tour of the gallery to see more memorable moments caught by Lin & Jirsa Photography!

From the bride, on the first dance:

"We actually choreographed and performed to several of our favorite songs and dialogues that created a fifteen-minute dance routine! It took many weeks to finalize the songs, but it was so worth it in the end! Our routine ended with all our family joining us on the dancefloor to, 'Bole Chudiyan.'"

On a special moment:

"One of the most amazing moments from our wedding was at the end of our first dance/entrance during the reception. We had choreographed at 15 minute dance routine which also served as our grand entrance. At the end of the routine, our family was supposed to surprise the audience and join in and finish to "Bole Chudiyan". It was a spectacular moment, when we were surrounded by our closest loves - and the whole feel was truly like a dream, a movie in real life."

Hope you were taking notes for your own dream wedding! See ya next time!
