Paducah, Kentucky Indian Wedding by Scotty Perry Photography

Back at The Carson Center, the venue was getting ready for the Indian wedding ceremony of Sneha and Deepal. The baraat ceremony came cruising in with the bride following shortly after. The bride’s desire to be a traditional bride was one that I admire so much! Hair by Dana O’key and makeup by F.A.C.E Makeup Artistry was the perfect compliment to our beautiful bride’s bridal attire. One of the most memorable elements of the ceremony was the traditional rice throwing event where the bride and groom douse each other in a competitive but friendly, manner. Red Umbrella orchestrated the perfect series of events for Sneha with Scotty Perry Photography ensuring that all the stills were captured with magic in the gallery.

Today’s wedding feature is brimming with romantic bliss and we can just feel the love jump out of the screen as we celebrate the union between Sneha and Deepal. Sneha brought on Red Umbrella to help her curate the perfect vendor list and help plan the big day. For the venue location, MG Banquet Hall was secured for the fabulous sangeet and the wedding festivities were moved to The Carson Center. On the morning of the Indian wedding ceremony, F.A.C.E. Makeup Artistry was brought on to bedazzle the bride. The bride opted for a more traditional spin on her wedding sari. I love a shimmering lengha like the best of them; but, it is so refreshing to see brides honoring the traditional era of Indian weddings. There is something that is just so regal and sincere of a raw silk sari with classic motif designs that our mother might have worn on her big day. Sneha’s bridal look was completely classic and unique. As the bride made her way to the venue, Deepal’s baraat was coming in full force; signifying that a rather larger than life wedding celebration was in tow. Scott Perry Photography has delivered all the still images of the event found in the gallery and we are waiting on Veda Films to hand over the cinematic masterpiece soon!

Cancun, Mexico Indian Wedding by Jonathan Cossu Photographer

Nothing quite tops a beachy Indian wedding. It is a dream for most brides to be able to have their most closest family and friends celebrating in a destination that most guests have never even heard of. Which is why Sandos Cancun Luxury Resort was the perfect venue to host a massive Bollywood event. Our bride’s textured updo and embellished makeup was done by Styling Trio Riviera Maya. Latika’s color palette was one that was both racy and romantic in hues of coral pink and navy blue, most certainly a nod to the ocean. PW Events transformed the venue into a luxurious hacienda with fresh copious blooms of gorgeous floret scattered throughout the room and on the tabletops. Gallardo Films was the cinematographer of the week’s events and we are excited to view the live footage. Event designer planner K.I. Weddings has proved once again that they have reigned supreme in the wedding circuit and we cannot wait to see what they present to us next! If you haven’t gotten a chance to peruse through the gallery captured immaculately by Jonathan Cossu Photography, here is your chance!

Cancun, Mexico Indian Wedding by Jonathan Cossu Photographer

For her wedding celebration the bride wanted a celebration that her family could enjoy as well as secure a memorable location to be treasured for years to come. The couple settled on Sandos Cancun Luxury Resort where guests were never bored with the array of excursions and on site activities. Guests instantly felt at home with the warm ambiance of the venue and their staff. The baraat ceremony was a spectacular sight to behold as Sameek’s horse led baraat took over the beachy sands. The bride and groom opted for an intimate introduction and why not have it directly on the beach? Guests were then led inside the venue with a gorgeous white mandap designed by PW Events taking center stage. After the Indian ceremony commenced, the bride and groom took it beach side to take some seriously gorgeous photos on the soft sands. Head into the gallery where Jonathan Cossu Photographer is ready to take your breath away.

Cancun, Mexico Indian Wedding by Jonathan Cossu Photographer

Happy Friday dolls! Today Jonathan Cossu Photographer brings us yet another blockbuster destination wedding out of one of our favorite countries - Mexico! The quintessential combination of relaxation, sunsets and toes in the warm sand are giving us all types of warm fuzzies! Today’s feature presents a groom with one of the most romantic proposals to date. During a private sailing on the bay under the Golden Gate bridge, Sameek pulled out a bottle of champagne and led his future bride to the Top of the Mark where he popped the big question. Naturally, Latika was ecstatic and so begins the journey of their wedding love story. The wedding professionals at K.I. Weddings was tasked with yet another destination event design and turned the couple’s dream destination wedding into reality. For her wedding day the bride was festooned with beauty artistry from the lovely ladies of Styling Trio Riviera Maya. Hair was swept up in a tight bun and accented by a glittering headpiece. Bold red lips and glittering gold eyelids framed the bride’s face perfectly and I absolutely adored the large, jhumka earrings. Mehndi Artist Henna Lounge only beautified this bride’s look with intricate henna work. It was now time to prepare herself for her big day! Head into the gallery for a sneak peek of the wedding! Latika and Sameek’s love story has so many layers and she gushes about her number one down below!

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?

We actually met online - we both met within two weeks of setting up our profile.  I knew he was the one when he went to a BBQ at my family's house for the first time and went out of his way to meet everyone and asked each and everyone about themselves and listened to their stories.

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.

We had a wedding planner that helped us coordinate but we researched videographer, photographer and decor on our own. We actually used Maharani weddings website as well as Weddingwire to get ideas on decorations and vendors. Our makeup artist (Styling Trio), photographer (Jonathan Cossu), videographer (Gallardo Films - Carlos Gallardo) were out of this world.  People talked about them days after the wedding and several people asked for their contact information.

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?

I was trying to keep my outfits under a budget as I splurged on the reception outfit at a local Indian shop where my mom bargained like crazy!

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?

It was probably the thank you books we created as they reminded us how lucky we were with our friends and family.

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?

In all honesty, people still talk about our wedding. People still talk about the pictures, the same day edit video and the reception and sangeet night decorations. I think the fact it was a location wedding at an all inclusive resort (we made sure to pick one that fit most people's budget) helped as people were constantly seeing everyone and getting together.

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?

Yes, the first wedding event when my fiancé turned to me and said - you look absolutely stunning.  You are gorgeous.

For events other than your ceremony, please tell us as much as you would like about the decor, style, dances, and all the special details.

Our ceremony was pretty simple as the ocean was to be the backdrop.  However, it rained on that day so we had to hold it inside. It turned out okay but my favorite events were the Sangeet (amazing terrace with the ocean back drop) and the reception - it was just gorgeous.

Stay tuned for the wedding details coming right up!
