Maharani Tripti on her wedding style:

"Although I would consider myself traditional I really wanted our wedding to be unique. My parents and Sankalp's parents were phenomenal when it came to choosing all the details. They literally let me decide almost everything and I will never be able to fully express to them how much I appreciated that! Sankalp and I wanted the wedding outdoors and we chose our venue, Meadow Brook Mansion, because of the gorgeous green scenery. As far as color palette goes, I wanted something fun and bright but with a romantic hint to it. We ended up going with peach, corals and whites and we added the fun element by accenting both our outfits with teals/blues."

It's time for the reception when we return!

Maharani Tripti on the romantic proposal:

"Sankalp took me on a surprise trip to Santorini, Greece. I have no idea how he pulled that off given my Type A personality and need to know every detail/plan. He even made a fake flight itinerary. He knows me so well. Anyway, we had plans to go to Boston/NYC for NYE and I had already packed my bags. It was around Christmas and every day of the week he had given me a neatly wrapped gift with a note on it telling me what day to open it. That morning he showed up at my house with my favorite Starbucks drink and gave me the last of the 'random' gifts. I had wondered why he showed up so early (6 am!) to my house since our flight wasn't until later that day. I opened the gifts and they turned out to be my passport and tickets to Greece. I was so surprised! He chose Greece to propose because we had both talked about where we would like to travel and I had mentioned Santorini. It was the best vacation ever!"

Come see the ceremony, next!

Maharani Tripti on meeting her Raja and how she knew he was "the one":

"Sankalp and I met a few years ago through a mutual friend. We both attended the same school for undergrad, however throughout our 4 years there we never crossed paths! It wasn't until my 3rd year of medical school that I met this goofy guy. I was out with a couple of friends for my birthday and I ran into an old friend, who happened to be very good friends with Sankalp. We started talking and I quickly realized that Sankalp was such an easygoing and laid back guy. Meeting Sankalp was honestly the best birthday gift I could have asked for! We dated for a while and I knew he would be the guy I would spend the rest of my life with. His charm, loving nature, and goofy personality won me over instantly. And of course, a special shout out to that awesome beard of his. Who can say no that!?"

We'll be back with the wonderful first look portraits when we return!
