Orlando, FL Indian Wedding by Sona Photography

We are at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress Orlando for the grand outdoor Indian wedding celebrating Meera and Ricky. Meera’s Bridal look was perfected by Asian Divas who revamped our girl into an Indian goddess. Rajasthani inspired earrings and necklace was a nod to historical India and I love how the bride incorporated the tones of red and gold into her wedding lengha. Patch border print on the bottom of the skirt depicted images of sultans and elephants. Groom Ricky also mustered up a divine analogous sherwani with a matching kirpan in tote. The garden areas in the venue was re- evoluntaized with modern enchantment by Dreams to Reality. A gorgeous mandap was one of the most talked about decor of the day and with due right. Hues of peach and champagne intermixed with white and pink blooms was perfect against the palm trees scattered backdrop. This wedding has been embedded in guest minds for years to come and Sona Photography has done us the great treat of capturing it all; forever memorializing Meera’s big day in the gallery.

Orlando, FL Indian Wedding by Sona Photography

Happy Friday, dolls! Here at Maharani Weddings, we love a good proposal story. Out of the box ideas, proposal surprises, and grooms going out of their way to make a memorable piece of his love journey just swoons our hearts. Ricky’s proposal is one that we won’t soon forget! Perched on Portland Head Light, a lighthouse in Cape Elizabeth, Maine, the bride dropped to his knees early one morning taking his future wife’s breath away. My favorite part of the proposal was the timing of it all. Ricky planned his surprise early morning before the sunset because his wife Meera had mentioned to him that she loved the sun rising more than watching the sun set, because the sunset is the ending of a day, and it becomes dark after it's over. The rising sun brings about a new day, representing a new beginning, and that day definitely brought a new beginning to Maharani Merra and Ricky’s life. Alas, it was now to craft the ultimate dream team to ensure that fairytale proposal was matched with an equally impressive wedding event. Jennifer Haskell from Just Events was tasked with the important role of spearheading all planning and design. Asian Divas showed up bright and early to transform Meera into a magnificent Maharani. This love journey is just beginning, but if you want to pre-game, head into the gallery where Sona Photography has molded together all the wedding events into a cohesive love story.

Bristow, Virginia Indian Wedding by Subhankar Barai

The Bristow Manor is a venue that is undoubtedly one of the most gorgeous estates to get married on. However, Danisa Flowers added the dazzling addition of vibrant blooms that really set the tone for a whimsical wonderland. Holding their wedding outdoors was a no brainer for Maharani Natasha and Imran! The luscious estate was just brimming with Indian wedding delight as Imran’s horse led baraat came bustling to the venue. The bride was a pure knockout! Donning a mint green, customized lace Sabysachi original, it is no wonder that this bride turned heads as she walked down the aisle. Oversized jewelry designed in house at Sanzany Jewels gleamed against the gorgeous blue skies. The wedding ceremony took place on a pink and white mandap setup in the gardens of the Bristow. Next to the ceremony housed the party tent where guests flocked to after the vows were exchanged to celebrate the night away. As you can see from these images captured by Subhankar Barai Photography, not a single guest was left without a smile on their faces; clearly a sign that that night concluded beautifully! Head into the gallery where a lot more pics await you!

Welcome back! There is just something so royal and sultry of brides wearing eggplant purple for any one of their ceremonies. For Natasha’s lavish sangeet held at Babalu’s, this bride knew she had to wear an ensemble that set her off from the crowd. The velvet lengha  was purchased from Ritu Kumar. Imran donned a black and gold anarkali with patch border trim that was an excellent contrast to the shades of purple that rivaled his wife’s ensemble. Guests were treated from dessert crafted at Jerusalem that satisfied everyone’s sweet tooth. The night was full of dancing and celebratory action as both the bride and groom’s family got a chance to mingle and get to know each other. The next day, the bride’s family held a bangle ceremony where Natasha chose to wear a multifaceted salwaar that just pops from the screen! If you missed the pics from the mehndi night, head into the gallery for the perfect set of images curated by Subhankar Barai Photography.

Bristow, Virginia Indian Wedding by Subhankar Barai

Today we celebrate an Indian wedding out of the good ol’ state of Virginia that is just brimming with cultural traditions, vibrant colors, and some gorgeous wedding lenghas. Maharani Natasha and Imran’s multi day ceremony started like most  - a festive  mehndi night. Natasha had two outfit changes for the night which is not uncommon on mehndi night. A maroon and gold raw silk sari from Mukhtar Sarees from Kolkata was the first outfit reveal. Sari’s are often worn during the mehndi ceremony. Natasha wore  a sweeping mustard lengha that channeled both an anarkali and salwar kameez as she got her mehndi done. A pair of oversized, gold jhumkar earrings topped off this one of a kind ensemble. All the bridal jewelry of the night was from Purab Paschim by Ankit Khullar. Heena Shah of Mehndi with Heena was the henna artist of the night and the bride opted for intricate motif designs with paisley inspired decor. We have a sneak peek of events to come in the gallery captured by Subhankar Barai Photography.
