Orlando, FL Indian Fusion Wedding by Castaldo Studios

Hello, Maharanis! Thank you for joining us at Radhika & Ryan's wedding reception party! This event is going to be amazing, so let's check it out together! When Radhika & Ryan were planning this reception party, they knew exactly what they wanted: they wanted it to be elegant, luxurious, and magical and by taking a look at the incredible shots taken by Castaldo Studios we can definitely agree that they achieve what they wanted, and we even think that this mesmerizing reception exceeded all their expectations! The incredible planning of Eventrics Weddings combined with the amazing decor that Occasions by Shangri-la put together for this event left us speechless! It was so magical and charming that it seemed to be taken out from a fairy tale! Definitely, it was the dreamy reception that Radhika & Ryan have always dreamed of, and there is no wonder why everyone enjoyed every bit of this event! One of the most anticipated moments of the evening took place when our lovebirds had their first dance as husband and wife. All the attendants delightfully watch how the newlyweds moved to the beat of the most beautiful melodies that were played by the talented DJ from Dudha Productions. All of the guests had a great time while celebrating with Radhika & Ryan, however, the night was coming to an end when our lovebirds had the first cut at the cake, but there was still time for one more surprise: A fireworks show! This was the perfect end for the wedding festivities that marked the start of a lifetime of marriage for Radhika & Ryan. If you want to relieve this entire wedding celebration, don't forget to take a look at today's gallery! It is worth to watch!

Whippany, NJ Indian Wedding by Aesthetic Vision

I have the pleasure of introducing an absolute vision of love thanks to the amazing images shared by Aesthetic Vision! Avani and Jay are today's lucky couple who celebrated their union having a series of big days. The celebrated wedding expert Tum Hi Ho Events planned and brought to life the events before they exchanged vows which are all narrated through the fabulous images we are about to unveil! An auspicious mehndi ceremony decorated the arms of our lovely bride and was followed by a joyous and well-attended Garba night. I particularly love the couple's bright and vivid outfits that were perfect to stand out among the crowd. Maharani Avani's ruby color lehenga skirt featured beautiful dandiya dancers and her floral low bun created by Style by Susmita was perfect for a revelry event while Jay's super-stylish and traditional outfit truly made a statement! Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
Jay proposed on our 6 year anniversary, 4/21/2017. He planned an entire day full of surprises! He involved my managers and work and planned on getting me out of work early. He sent a limo to pick me up and had flowers and a letter waiting for me. He had the limo drive us to our first date spot, Acquista Trattoria, in Queens, NY. My two best friends were waiting for me there with my second clue! He then had the limo drive us to our college campus, where we met! He had my cousin waiting there for me with different outfits and shoes to choose from. We quickly got ready and hit the road again! We drove through the city, stopping off at Pellegrino's Italian Restaurant in Little Italy, where we celebrated our first Valentine's Day. We picked up a few more of my cousins who had the final clue! The limo drove us to my dream proposal, right under the Brooklyn Bridge! As I got out of the limo, my heart was racing, knowing the man of my dreams was waiting for me. I started walking towards him, with the biggest smile on my face. He had the cutest little picnic set up, with some champagne, cheese, and crackers, and chocolate covered strawberries. He had pictures of us set up with wooden blocks of our initials. It was the sweetest little setup! He sat me down, and asked how my day was (knowing exactly how it was since he planned the whole thing!) He soon got into talking about a lot of things I don't really remember because I was just SO excited! What I do remember are his last words, "Avani, will you marry me?" as he was holding the most beautiful ring ever! I said the quickest YES of my life and gave him the biggest hug and kiss! Before I know it, all of our siblings, cousins, and closest friends came running out and surprised me! We took some pictures, and later met up with our parents for dinner. After dinner, Jay had rented out an Airbnb which was full of ALL of our friends and family! We celebrated all night and had the best time! At the end of it all, I was FINALLY engaged to the man of my dreams, and it was the proposal I had always wanted!

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
For as long as I can remember, I always saved pictures of different outfits for whenever I got married. I knew I wanted to be a traditional bride, wearing lots of red. When I went shopping for my lengha, we went straight to Sabyasachi, in Mumbai. I fell in love with everything. As I tried different lenghas on, I felt my self drawing back to the first one I had tried! It was a beautiful shade of red, with very detailed work. The skirt had intricate blush flowers on it and it came with 2 different dupatta options: red or blush pink. I thought I wanted two different dupattas, one red and one blush, but when I was trying them on the all red look just swept me off my feet! I couldn't stop staring at the lengha. It was the first place we had gone, so my mom and I decided that we would look around and see what else there was and then come back if we didn't find anything that made me feel as good as that lengha did. Every shop I went into after that, I kept comparing it to the Sabyasachi lengha. I knew after 2 shops that my heart and mind were with the first one. A few days later we made our way back to Sabyasachi and said YES to the lengha! It was the most beautiful lengha! I couldn't have found something more perfect for me!

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
My favorite parts of wedding planning we definitely picking out our menu and decor. AND WEDDING SHOPPING!I loved trying so many different foods! Rasoi was the best! We had a strictly no onion, no garlic menu and they catered to our every need! The food at the food tasting was phenomenal, and the exact same food is what our guest ate during all the wedding events! I also loved picking out our decor. Sharda at Elegant Affairs showed up the most magical mandap and we fell in love. I had saved so many pictures of what I thought I wanted but she showed us so many more pictures and we created the perfect mandap for us to take our pheras in! And the centerpieces she chose for us, blew our minds away! Beautiful cherry blossoms trees, Florals pieces, and candles and petals! She tied all the tables together by incorporating florals and candles. It was stunning! But how could I forget the wedding shopping! Getting dolled up every day and trying on new outfits and jewelry was SO MUCH FUN! It gets a little stressful at times but overall the whole experience was so great!

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
Aside from watching Jay and I get married and celebrating with us, our guest loved three things in particular! 1) they all loved the food provided by Rasoi! They had so much fun during cocktail hours since we had so many different stations up! 2) they loved the organization and execution! We got SO MANY compliments on how smoothly a 1000 person wedding went! and we have none other than Tum Hi Ho Events to thank for that! They really put their all into our wedding day and it couldn't have gone better! 3) music!! MVPDJs absolutely ROCKED the night. Jay only had one request during wedding planning and that was to have a concert at our reception! and MVPDJs, especially JRK definitely delivered on that request! They provided us with CO2 cannons and amazing music! the crowd was on the dance floor till past midnight, and so many of them forgot about dinner because they couldn't get themselves off the dance floor! Our lighting company also provided us with a laser show, so my husband's dream of a concert at our reception definitely came true!

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
My words of wisdom for Brides-to-be would be to just enjoy the process, and take it all in! It's the same advice other brides gave me, and it was the best advice! I miss every bit of wedding planning and the wedding week and I would do anything to go back! It passes by in the blink of an eye, so don't stress the little things as the big day comes closer. Just enjoy it, have so much fun, and remember what it's really about, marrying the love of your life and starting the most beautiful journey together.

Don't go too far, you are going to love the portraits we have coming up next!

Long Beach, CA Ismaili Wedding by Global Photography

Welcome to the second chapter of Nikhita and Amar’s wedding! Right after a lovely first look, the bride and groom had a few moments of quietness together and then headed to Santa Monica Jamatkhana for their Nikkah ceremony, classically transported by G&A Limousine Service. I absolutely adore Nikhita’s extraordinaire lace white saree, while most brides purchase their own outfit, our smart bride designed her own wedding dress and looked stunning next to Amar who opted for an elegant tailored plaid suit. The result of both looks combined, as you will see in each of Global Photography’s creative images, is just amazing!  After the Nikkah ceremony, the bride and groom were surrounded by their closest ones and sat in front of each other to find the coin in a large bowl of brightly colored rice and rose petals! Sit back and dive into the magic images of this gorgeous Ismaili affair in our full gallery!

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
Amar and I met at a summer camp known as Camp Mosaic. According to Amar, he fell in love with me when we sat down during a moment at camp exchanging jokes and laughing up a storm. For me, I fell in love with Amar during our 10 hour Facetime dates when we could talk about anything and everything and not get tired or bored with each other. That's when I realized this is the guy I want to spend the rest of my life with.

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
Amar proposed to me at Laguna Beach, where we had our first date. He had been planning the proposal for 6 months and I had no clue. I was at work early in the morning and got let out early because he called my boss to release me. Once I got home I got ready and my sisters, my best friend and I all got in a limo Amar had rented for the day for us. We were about 3 hours late to the proposal due to LA traffic, and once I got there he had a video set up for me to watch from all our friends with the sweetest messages ever. When he finally came out, he was wearing my dads favorite tie and he said, "your dad gave me his tie as his blessing and will only let me keep it if you say yes" That one line stole my heart and I couldn't be more excited to marry such an amazing and caring man. The best part was when my mom showed up because I had no idea she was there and the rooftop where we had our first date was filled with all our close friends and family cheering!

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
Hair and make up for my nikkah ceremony and reception was done by the amazing dreavmakeup. My reception themes were all different shades of purple and white!

Hair and makeup for my sangeet was done by Nida Gazi, my theme for the sangeet was Indian street themed with umbrellas as centerpieces, a decked out bike as a backdrop for pictures and a bangles cart and Indian street food to top it off.

My sangeet outfit was designed by me and made by Elan Atlanta courtesy of Salima Budhani.
My reception and Nikkah outfit was a custom outfit designed by me and came to life thanks to the owner of Yasmin Boutique, Kausar Aunty.

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
I knew the colors I wanted for my reception since I was about 20 years old. Plum has always been a favorite color of mine so I decided to go along with that. It's a color not commonly seen worn at wedding receptions and I also wanted lavender to be incorporated somewhere in my decor and plum just matched it perfectly. I also loved the combination of peach and navy blue and Amar is a big fan of navy blue (chargers fan and all) so that is why we selected those colors for our sangeet.

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
I think the most enjoyable part was spending time with Amar and going venue shopping all across southern California. We would have the best time at these meetings just laughing and imagining what our big day would be like.

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
If I had to pick one thing the guests enjoyed it would definitely be the food. I think we went above and beyond to make sure our food was amazing since Amar and I are both foodies!

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
I think the most special moment for me personally during the wedding was right before our Nikkah ceremony. I was getting ready and taking a few bridal pictures alone before I had to meet Amar. One of his best men came to me with a cute little Tiffany's box in hand. Amar has known that since we met I always wanted to own a piece of jewelry from Tiffany's and what better day to give it than right before our official wedding ceremony. Inside the Tiffany's box was a cute heart-shaped pendant with my father's initials and a note that said even though he is not physically here with you today he is always in your heart. Amar is known for his sweet little gestures and seeing that right before the big ceremony just made me realize my dad would be so happy for us!

For events other than your ceremony, please tell us as much as you would like about the decor, style, dances, and all the special details.
For all our event we had decor done by BEL events. my favorite decor was for the reception with the best floral backdrop ever! we also an awesome donut wall inspired by our wedding coordinator Dana and Amar since they are both donut enthusiast and donuts catered from DK's donuts.

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
My advice would be to make sure you get food at every event and to not stress during your wedding week. Don't worry about anything that goes wrong just live in the moment and enjoy the company of everyone. This moment only comes once!

Attend the wedding bash through the images in our next post!

Atlanta, GA Indian Wedding by WalkOnWater Productions

You may want to grab a Kleenex for our final Indian wedding film, my dears. Your hearts are about to get hit with so many loving feels... There's not much in this world that is greater than the love a parent has for their child, and you'll definitely feel the ultimate adoration Maharani Shama's mother and father have for their only daughter. WalkOnWater Productions filmed and edited this sensational highlight reel at the incredible Renaissance Atlanta Waverly Hotel, where our flawless Indian bride wed the Raja of her dreams, Chintan. From some of the most charming pre-wedding moments to the ceremony, every last second of this film is sure to make you smile. Maharani Shama has such fab style, donning a stunning red, green and cream-colored lengha sari as she got ties the knot (not to mention two other incredible looks you'll get a good glimpse at!), her hair and makeup the picture of perfection. You simply can't miss this one, my dears. It's perfect.

Maharani Shama, on meeting the Raja of her dreams:

"A trip to the movies with friends became a day that changed my life. We didn't know each other and he was new to the group as the 'new guy with a British accent". We connected via AOL messenger a few days later, and quickly realized he was the one. Over the years I've always looked back on that regular day with much fondness."

On Raja Chintan's romantic proposal:

"Like the movie My Name Is Khan, I told Chintan to show me Atlanta like I've never seen before. I knew he'd make it extra special and he surprised me by proposing on top of The W Hotel helipad with the Atlanta skyline in the backdrop over a clear blue sky just before sunset. Friends were on hand to capture the moment when he proposed on a bed of rose petals with the perfect ring."

On her wedding style:

"Chintan and I love the traditional look so we wanted a classic wooden mandap with a traditional color palette. Because of my love of peacocks, we wanted a subtle peacock theme. This inspired the peacock accents for every event, from Mehndi night to the Wedding. One of my favorite peacock accents were the signs we made on peacock feather fans for my bridesmaids to carry down the aisle stating: Wait Until You See Her."

On what she enjoyed most about planning her dream wedding:

"I enjoyed the process of selecting our vendors and theme. All of our vendors are so kind and supportive that working with them was a delight. On another note, I loved shopping for Chintan and my outfits!"

On picking out her wedding lenghas:

"I spent many hours on Pinterest searching for inspiration for my Garba outfit since we did not have a Reception. My search was focused on peacock colors like blues and purples. I worked with Virtues, a designer in Ahmdebad, India for my Garba outfit. As for my wedding outfit, I've wanted to wear a traditional panetar sari for as long as I can remember. Luckily I found the sari I had been dreaming about for years and worked with designer Purva Couture for the perfect veil."

On her most memorable wedding moment:

"Although we had our First Look during our photo session prior to the wedding ceremony, the moment we saw each other in the mandap was most magical. After all these years, Chintan and I were finally becoming husband and wife!

On a laughable note, I think the funniest part of the wedding was when I ran to sit down in the chair first without realizing I was dragging Chintan behind me."

On her hair and makeup:

"Once again, Pinterest was my best friend during the planning process. I spent many hours trying to find examples of the styles I had in my mind. After picking a few examples, my makeup artist and hair stylist successfully conjured up what I had imagined. I've always been told I had an old Bollywood look so I was searching for hair designs in that style."

On the role family and friends played:

"This wedding would not have been a success without our family and friends. I was trying to plan this wedding in Atlanta while living in Chicago and without a wedding planner. After I selected and booked our vendors, Mom and Dad finalized the venue and menus for all of the events as well as creating teams to make sure every aspect of the wedding flowed smoothly. Mom's team cooked Indian snacks for three months prior to the wedding week for all of our guests and prepared welcome bags for every hotel room as well as small favors for the events. Mom amazingly pre-pleated, pinned and steamed all of my bridesmaids, aunts, and my sarees so we could get dressed effortlessly! Dad's team organized the distribution of favors and event set up. My parents really made this wedding possible!"

Here's a look at some of the most memorable wedding moments from this past week!:

Ontario, Canada Sikh Wedding by Cineverse

Greetings, Maharanis! It's a fabulous Filmy Friday and I have three of the most memorable wedding flicks to show you today. Heading things up is this spectacular highlight reel, shot and edited by the incredibly talented team at Cineverse. It features some of the most extraordinary moments from Maharani Deep and Raja Happy's Sikh wedding in Ontario, Canada. The Mississauga Convention Centre hosts this splendid event, and you'll get a peek into all of the day's delightful moments. The film opens up with a look at Sonia's Henna Art creating the bride's breathtaking mehndi design, some fashion details and LeSonne Bridals working their hair and makeup magic — the gorgeous side braid and bold, red lips are simply fantastic! This Sikh bride is an absolute sensation in an intricately detailed, sky blue and red bridal lengha, her stunning crystal and pearl necklace the icing on the cake. Not to upstage her own ceremony look, but still leave a lasting impression, Maharani Deep turned to Shyamal & Bhumika for her dazzling cobalt blue reception lengha, and to make sure her event was just as unforgettable as her bridal fashions, the bride enlisted Xclusive Designs to take charge of her 20's-themed floral and decor — and boy did they deliver! With an energetic performance by Mickey Singh, who was surrounded by partygoers on the dance floor, and heart-pumping beats dropped by Empire Entertainment, the night was one affair no one would soon forget. Maybe Banga Studios will delight us with some of the amazing pics they took, but until then click play and enjoy!

The bride, on how she met the Raja of her dreams:

"I met Happy through mutual friends at a friends condo party. For the first six months we were just friends because I wanted to get to know him. As the months went by I realized he is the most amazing man I had ever known. It was then I started to realize he was “the one”."

On the super romantic proposal:

"We went to one of my favorite places, New York, for the second time. Only this time I had no idea he was going to propose to me. It was a bright and sunny day on May 25th, as we shopped on 5th Ave. I was taking a bit too long in the Henri Bendel store and Happy was getting impatient because he had plans of his own to propose and I was inadvertently delaying them. He was doing anything and everything to speed the decision process along. Finally we left, we freshened up and got ready for the evening. We walked through central park and ended up at The Loeb Boathouse Central Park. We were only 5 minutes late which is pretty good in my books. I thought dress code was formal and I quickly realized I was overdressed. As we waited for our seats, I switched from heels to flats and took off my earrings, while Happy was giving me the you look fine look. After we had been seated and we ordered, I looked around and it was breathtaking. The restaurant was off a lake and there were gondola rides taking place, music playing and so much more. We got our food so quickly compared to other guests and Happy's hand was shaking which was a bit odd to me. After dinner, we had the rest of our wine on the gondola ride as the sun was setting. After the proposal I found out that Happy asked the restaurant manager if we could be alone on the lake. His request was approved given the situation. The gondolier provided stories regarding the lake and how it had been used in movies such as Home Alone and Sex and the City! Then Happy handed his phone over to the gondolier to take our photo and I was getting ready to strike a pose only to find Happy bent down on one knee. He turned my body into his direction and proposed. I was shocked and excited all at the same time. Of course, I said yes! Later that night we went to Times Square and took a few pictures and called it a night. One of the happiest days of our lives!"

On her wedding style:

"When we started to think about themes for our wedding we were immediately drawn to the Great Gatsby theme from decor to outfits to music. As the year went on we realized it was a popular theme and wanted to do something that had never been done. Even though we took out the Gatsby theme, it was still our overall inspiration. We continued with 20's vintage, royal theme. Our original colors were gold, ivory, white, and navy blue. What we ended up with was the same colors only we added blush pink. We had crystals, pearls, and flowers as accents throughout. We loved our decor!"

On selecting her dream reception lengha:

"Too many countless hours were spent on the internet trying to find the perfect reception outfit. Finally I gazed upon a designer by the name of Shyamal & Bhumika. They had amazing pieces and one stood out to me the most. It was the cobalt blue embroidered gown. It left me breathless to say the least and when I saw it I knew it was “the one”. I ordered it directly from the designer in Mumbai. They were so professional to work with and I couldn't have been happier. Everyone loved it as much as I did."

Sit tight, Maharanis! There's still most Filmy fabulousness on the way!
