Pondicherry, Indian Fusion Wedding by Shakir Photography

Good morning, beautiful Maharanis! We are excited to be back as we were dying to share today's lovely story with you. So, let's not wait any longer and take a look at Ancy & Pradhip's big wedding bash. And we hope you have your travel documents handy because we are taking you to Pondicherry for you to be part of this grand event. Today's lovely couple planned a magnificent celebration which started with a traditional Hindu ceremony, followed by a signature on the livre encrypted in Francaise, and finally a Christian ring ceremony with a prayer. How amazing is that! We love how each event honored the bride and groom's culture, faith, and above all, their love for each other! And we know that planning a wedding ceremony is not easy, let alone plan a whole multicultural wedding bash! So we want to make a big shoutout to the bride and groom for the perfect planning and execution of all wedding events. The attention to detail resulted in a dreamy celebration that exceeded all expectations. Both Ancy & Pradhip attended their wedding festivities looking flawless and overflowing with so much happiness and joy that you can almost feel how all these emotions pop from the screen and brighten up your day. For the Hindu ceremony, they embraced a traditional look and ended up looking like the prince and princess of an Indian fairytale. Ancy trusted her beauty needs to Makeup Sharath Bhushan, and Sruthi Kannath and Moksha designed her wedding attires. To crown her ravishing looks, Ancy wore dazzling pieces of jewelry from New Ideas Fashions Jewellery's collection, which added an extra touch of traditional flair to her different attires. And oh, boy! We cannot stress how much we loved her different looks! To match the beauty of the love of his life, Pradhip rocked an all-white attire for the ceremony and an elegant and fashionable tux from P N RAO for the closing gala. They looked so gorgeous together than not even the colorful decor, and the mesmerizing wall of flowers that served as a backdrop for their reception stole the attention away from them! If you want to take a closer look at this fantastic wedding celebration, head into our full gallery for more! We have compiled the most beautiful moments captured by Shakir Photography!

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
Every human will have a certain deep point in life where that person would feel difficult to get up from the pit. Arm rendered by MR. Mine as a friend during those phase.

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
A very different story, both are ardent foot ball fans of same club. It all started with “Arsenal” and we end up hitching our life time goal... Different religion, different culture, different time zone but that never matters when souls are united.

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
Different tone zone one in EST and the other in MYT. We spent our day and night together planning every stuff. We collected many many details regarding venue, makeup artist, place of stay, back drop designs, wedding clothes and ended up choosing our favourite by contacting them. And met everyone in person when in India and finalised

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
I fixed my mind to go for pastels. I choose one of the best shops in Chennai where every piece is unique. When it is for our Christian wedding I always wanted to see myself in a gown so grabbed a deep red gown.

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
We reached the venue few hours before our wedding and as it was an inter religion wedding our parents of both the sides and relatives anew arguing even at that point in time about giving away my traditional saree... one saying bride should step into their home and get it and the other saying as per our tradition we won’t allow... Every moment was full of suspenses and surprises

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
1. We made our bridal blouse very unique - My father’s signature is embedded in it who is no more. It was a themed blouse. Bride In a chariot and groom in a horse. Where my father’s signature as an attestation below the chariot carrying his daughter.

2. Back drop was appreciated my many

3. Our post-wedding photoshoot

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
1. Being a Christian I dint know what exactly they are asking me do when pandit requested. Every moment was very funny.. He was literally snatching the wedlock from the priest's hand and tied in few seconds. It grabbed crowd’s attention and all started laughing  seeing the scene.

2. During Christian tradition of ring exchange, we had a ball dance which was a ever memorable one

Wilmington, DE Indian Fusion Wedding by Maria DeForrest Photography

Happy Monday, darlings! We missed you so much during the weekend, and we were dying to share a lovely new story with you. And what better way to start this new week than taking a look at a charming fusion wedding. If you've been following us for quite a while, you already know that Indian fusion weddings have something special that makes our heart melt with tenderness and joy; and Krupa & Matthew's big wedding affair is no exception! So get ready to have a good time because today's featured wedding packs all the things we love, and so much more! We're starting this journey by joining this sweet and lovely couple at the Chase Center on the Riverfront, the venue of choice to host all wedding activities. To make her dream wedding come to life, our beautiful Maharani Krupa planned every detail of this long-awaited day, and the result was amazingly beyond her expectations! The perfect planning, combined with the heavenly decor in soft-colored hues designed by Nirali Decor, created a soothing environment for Krupa & Matthew to tie the knot in the company of their family and closest friends. Our lovebirds looked ravishing together in their matching attire. Still, it was our beautiful Maharani who stole the show! She said "I do" looking like a princess, dressed in a fashionable, yet traditional lengha designed by AsoPalav after being fully glamorized by Payal Patel. And we cannot stress how much we love every bit of her elegant and glamorous look. It is both bewitching and inspiring! After the wedding ceremony, it was time to celebrate this life milestone with a spectacular reception party. All guests danced the night away to the beats of Volcanik Entertainment and tasted the delicious culinary experience prepared by Moghul. And let's not forget about the sweet treats from Federal Donuts, who designed a 5-story donut cake. Simply amazing! Hands down, this was the dream wedding Krupa & Matthew always wanted, and this could not have been possible without DiSalvo Events, who coordinated every segment of the big day down to the smallest detail. So big kudos to them! For more amazing shots of this enchanting wedding celebration, don't miss the awesome photos captured by Maria DeForrest Photography. How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
Matt and I met out in Philadelphia one night 9+ years ago! We were both out with friends and happened to hit it off. Right after we met, he moved to Washington D.C. and we were long distance for 6 years. We both knew early on that this was something special and worth making the 3 hour drive to see each other every weekend.

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
We had rented a beach house in Cape May with a large group of friends. I had a feeling it may be coming that weekend but the whole weekend went by and  no proposal! I was ready to go home on Sunday afternoon when he wanted to take a walk before we left. As we walked along Congress Hall, noticed one of his friends hiding around the corner and suddenly I realized Matt's hand was shaking in my own. I knew this was the moment, and realized i was holding a PLASTIC WATER BOTTLE! I proceeded to throw it to the side (don't worry I picked it up afterwards) and braced myself for the moment. He got down on one knee and asked the question 7 years in the making.

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
The whole process kind of came together rather quickly. The venue was the first on the list, trying to find a place that would fit our 300 guests for multiple days and not break the bank. The Chase Center on the Riverfront was actually not far from where I work, which is why it made the list of places to check out. Once we visited we were sold not only on the hospitality of the event coordinators but the blank canvas it presented us. All of our vendors were phenomenal to work with and were familiar with the venue. This ended up being a huge plus for us, when all the vendors have been to the venue before and know how best to set up your events.

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
I really wanted a white lengha and I went to India with that thought in mind. I made the journey to Asopalav, like so many brides before me about 5 hours after I landed that morning. While sharing my version with the associate in the store, letting them know I was looking for an all white lengha. You could hear my mom in the background saying "why not one with a red dupatta or a little red in the outfit?". I figured this may be a future battle I would have to fight but when I tried on the first outfit (the one I ended up picking) I knew it was the one. Of course this is India, I did not travel 21+ hours to buy the first outfit I tried on. We persuaded them to hold it for us until the end of the day and went to try on outfits elsewhere. By the end of the day even my mom agreed it was perfect.

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
My favorite part was the outfits! It was especially fun buying outfits for my husbands family.

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
I think the biggest hit of the wedding was the venue! The Chase Center was so large and accommodating that it allowed us to have each event in a different room and not have our guests feel cramped or lacking in space. The hotel attached was an added bonus for a November wedding. It allowed guests to move between locations without having to venture outside.

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
Its funny but for me it was the Baraat (and I wasn't even there)! I loved seeing all the pictures from procession and and Matt was so surprised when the mascot came out. My family also did a great job showing his friends and family how to have a great time at the Baraat!

For events other than your ceremony, please tell us as much as you would like about the decor, style, dances, and all the special details.
The Sangeet was probably my favorite event overall. We wanted to have a fun welcome party vibe during the traditional event, no stage just high tops and plenty of food and drinks for the guests. It was so amazing to see the families interacting so freely. From learning how to garba or play raas to his family surprising everyone with a performance. It really set the stage for the rest of the weekend.

One of my other favorite things I did was plan mini meals for the immediate family. Before the sangeet we had private room where we could sample all of the dishes of the night. This was a great opportunity not only for us but our siblings and parents to relax and more importantly eat! We could spend the rest of the night mingling and enjoying the event.

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
Its hard to say dont stress. You will stress, especially if you go the traditional wedding route (there are too many people and events not too). But know that at the end of the day everyone is there for you and your husband. Try to sneak moments for the two of you to just take it all in.

Anything else you want to tell us? We'd love to hear all about your other details! (jewelry, mehndi, venue, cake, bouquets, etc.)
We actually had a donut cake from a Philly favorite donut spot. It was such a hit! They arranged it on tiered platform to look like a cake and even had a donut tasting for us beforehand. We actually only had a couple of donuts left that night.

All of our personal flowers were done at a local grocery store (Wegmans). It was a great way for us to save some money and we were able to order bulk flowers from them and Costco for the various events.

What a great way to start the week, isn't it ladies? Don't forget to join us tomorrow for a new story!
