Houston, TX Indian Wedding by DC Stanley

This spectacularly pretty mandap by Prashe is the ultimate Maharani's dream — dont' you think? All of the gorgeous floral details framing the top, the luxurious chandelier as the focal point and the beautifully draped fabric all come together in true fairytale-style. The Hotel Zaza hosted the pre-wedding celebration for our happy couple, and are now playing the perfect venue, for their ceremony too. These stunning shots by DC Stanley highlight all of the memorably candid moments from this unforgettable event. Don't these two lovebirds look oh-so-happy? It delights me just to see their million dollar smiles as they become man and wife. Check out the gallery for a closer look at this truly extraordinary event.

From the bride, on their first dance:

"We danced to Galan Gooriyan by Stereo Nation, we have both always loved the song and when I found out he loved the song too-I knew it would be our first dance song."

On additional details:

"I did a lot of Pinterest-ing to add those small details and touches that reflected me and my personality. I had bathroom baskets for our guests in the reception venue bathrooms with customized signs that had a little poem on them. I also created a guestbook on Shutterfly customized with our engagement photos and fun mad-libs with advice for the bride and advice for the groom. I also ordered custom "hashtag" signs for our guests to hashtag our special day. I added little hints of my personality within my wedding details such as my dessert buffet which featured pink and gold icing on the desserts-I had specially made elephant cookies that matched my theme. My cake was a mendhi inspired design I found on Pinterest but I had the cake done in a blush color with ivory piping to match my theme. My jewelry all came from my mom's hometown of Pataila, Punjab and was specially chosen to match my outfits. I also wore a veil to cover my face, because that is a tradition the girls in my Mom's family all do on their wedding day."

Hope you enjoyed this wedding! See ya next time, dolls!

Bloomfield, MI Sikh Wedding by Everlasting Moments

From the bride, on the wedding style:

"My style is very classic. I envisioned a romantic palette with soft ivories, blushes and gold. I love flowers so I wanted to make sure I had lots of beautiful florals! I feel that Indian outfits are so colorful, so a softer palette of lighter hues would really make the outfits stand out-I opted for a gold gown myself for the reception!"

On the planning process:

"I really enjoyed the bonding experience of involving my family with the planning and having wedding coordinators was the best decision I made-they helped to make the process manageable and fun for me."

On the lenghas:

"I went to India to do my wedding shopping. My mom is from Pataila, a city in Punjab known for their bridal lenghas; however, I ended up buying all my wedding outfits in Delhi! My wedding lengha I found at a small boutique in Delhi and it just caught my eye from the beginning, I especially liked the subtly contrasting dupatta in a shade of orange against the pink lengha. My reception gown was also from Delhi-I went to Frontier Raas and fell in love with the gowns. I found this one and loved it and had them incorporate some details from some of their heavier, more extravagant runway gowns which I tried on."

On a special moment:

"I was lucky enough to have a perfectly smooth wedding day and thanks to my coordinators, my husband and I were able to enjoy some alone time. We were tucked away in a bridal suite at the reception venue while the cocktail hour was going on with some appetizers and champagane and we were able to sink in the events of the day and really enjoy each other's company."
