Whippany, NJ Indian Wedding by Aesthetic Vision

We have come to the last part of the big fat Indian wedding soiree of the lovely Avani and Jay! Just right before the spree began at the wonderful Hanover Marriott's ballroom, Aesthetic Vision invited over our sweethearts to pose for a round of beautiful portraits surrounded by their splendid wedding scenery! This magnificent wedding stage set up was an ingenious creation of the celebrated Elegant Affairs Inc. who transformed the ceremony space into the reception stage and kept the opulent ceremony theme with the amazing white blossom trees that were perfectly placed on each table to give each a touch of fresh air and luxe to the reception space. C&C Events provided the creative uplighting and a great laser show, and MVP DJs completed the celebratory ambiance with the best Bollywood sounds and two great CO2 cannons for the newlyweds to play! Meanwhile, Rasoi's food was one of the guests' favorite parts; in the bride's own words: "They all loved the food provided by Rasoi!". What an amazing look Style by Susmita gave to Avani for her final appearance, as she wore a splendid cream color design she fused with some loose sleek curls and glowing makeup! Take a closer look at the blushing bride and all that included celebrations in our full gallery!

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
Jay proposed on our 6 year anniversary, 4/21/2017. He planned an entire day full of surprises! He involved my managers and work and planned on getting me out of work early. He sent a limo to pick me up and had flowers and a letter waiting for me. He had the limo drive us to our first date spot, Acquista Trattoria, in Queens, NY. My two best friends were waiting for me there with my second clue! He then had the limo drive us to our college campus, where we met! He had my cousin waiting there for me with different outfits and shoes to choose from. We quickly got ready and hit the road again! We drove through the city, stopping off at Pellegrino's Italian Restaurant in Little Italy, where we celebrated our first Valentine's Day. We picked up a few more of my cousins who had the final clue! The limo drove us to my dream proposal, right under the Brooklyn Bridge! As I got out of the limo, my heart was racing, knowing the man of my dreams was waiting for me. I started walking towards him, with the biggest smile on my face. He had the cutest little picnic set up, with some champagne, cheese, and crackers, and chocolate covered strawberries. He had pictures of us set up with wooden blocks of our initials. It was the sweetest little setup! He sat me down, and asked how my day was (knowing exactly how it was since he planned the whole thing!) He soon got into talking about a lot of things I don't really remember because I was just SO excited! What I do remember are his last words, "Avani, will you marry me?" as he was holding the most beautiful ring ever! I said the quickest YES of my life and gave him the biggest hug and kiss! Before I know it, all of our siblings, cousins, and closest friends came running out and surprised me! We took some pictures, and later met up with our parents for dinner. After dinner, Jay had rented out an Airbnb which was full of ALL of our friends and family! We celebrated all night and had the best time! At the end of it all, I was FINALLY engaged to the man of my dreams, and it was the proposal I had always wanted!

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
For as long as I can remember, I always saved pictures of different outfits for whenever I got married. I knew I wanted to be a traditional bride, wearing lots of red. When I went shopping for my lengha, we went straight to Sabyasachi, in Mumbai. I fell in love with everything. As I tried different lenghas on, I felt my self drawing back to the first one I had tried! It was a beautiful shade of red, with very detailed work. The skirt had intricate blush flowers on it and it came with 2 different dupatta options: red or blush pink. I thought I wanted two different dupattas, one red and one blush, but when I was trying them on the all red look just swept me off my feet! I couldn't stop staring at the lengha. It was the first place we had gone, so my mom and I decided that we would look around and see what else there was and then come back if we didn't find anything that made me feel as good as that lengha did. Every shop I went into after that, I kept comparing it to the Sabyasachi lengha. I knew after 2 shops that my heart and mind were with the first one. A few days later we made our way back to Sabyasachi and said YES to the lengha! It was the most beautiful lengha! I couldn't have found something more perfect for me!

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
My favorite parts of wedding planning we definitely picking out our menu and decor. AND WEDDING SHOPPING!I loved trying so many different foods! Rasoi was the best! We had a strictly no onion, no garlic menu and they catered to our every need! The food at the food tasting was phenomenal, and the exact same food is what our guest ate during all the wedding events! I also loved picking out our decor. Sharda at Elegant Affairs showed up the most magical mandap and we fell in love. I had saved so many pictures of what I thought I wanted but she showed us so many more pictures and we created the perfect mandap for us to take our pheras in! And the centerpieces she chose for us, blew our minds away! Beautiful cherry blossoms trees, Florals pieces, and candles and petals! She tied all the tables together by incorporating florals and candles. It was stunning! But how could I forget the wedding shopping! Getting dolled up every day and trying on new outfits and jewelry was SO MUCH FUN! It gets a little stressful at times but overall the whole experience was so great!

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
Aside from watching Jay and I get married and celebrating with us, our guest loved three things in particular! 1) they all loved the food provided by Rasoi! They had so much fun during cocktail hours since we had so many different stations up! 2) they loved the organization and execution! We got SO MANY compliments on how smoothly a 1000 person wedding went! and we have none other than Tum Hi Ho Events to thank for that! They really put their all into our wedding day and it couldn't have gone better! 3) music!! MVPDJs absolutely ROCKED the night. Jay only had one request during wedding planning and that was to have a concert at our reception! and MVPDJs, especially JRK definitely delivered on that request! They provided us with CO2 cannons and amazing music! the crowd was on the dance floor till past midnight, and so many of them forgot about dinner because they couldn't get themselves off the dance floor! Our lighting company also provided us with a laser show, so my husband's dream of a concert at our reception definitely came true!

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
My words of wisdom for Brides-to-be would be to just enjoy the process, and take it all in! It's the same advice other brides gave me, and it was the best advice! I miss every bit of wedding planning and the wedding week and I would do anything to go back! It passes by in the blink of an eye, so don't stress the little things as the big day comes closer. Just enjoy it, have so much fun, and remember what it's really about, marrying the love of your life and starting the most beautiful journey together.

Let me know what inspired you about this grand Indian wedding in the comments below and remember to join me in tomorrow!

Orlando, FL Indian Wedding by Castaldo Studios

Maharanis, I'm glad you made it on time for the upscale Hindu wedding ceremony of Varsha and Giresh! We are now at the Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate, a stunning venue that Utopian Events made look effortlessly beautiful with a blush pink and silver color theme. Using round hanging crystal charms and sweet round floral arrays, the creative team festooned a majestic draped mandap that brought supreme elegance to the ceremony moment. The main stage also served as the backdrop for a sweet first look between the soon to be husband and wife, captured by the artistic photo team of Castaldo Studios. Maharani Varsha looked jaw-dropping in a soft pink lehenga and a sweeping pink dupatta while her subtle yet magnificent jewelry set design made her glow for the camera! While her beau, Giresh, went for an equally stately outfit brocade with the most dreamy patterns. Hats off to Eventrics Weddings who helmed the grand event with perfection! Our complete gallery has lots of big moments of this unique wedding that you will simply love!

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
I met Neal through the Coffee Meets Bagel app! We both work in NYC, so we would meet up after work and go on dinner dates. I knew he was "the one" on one of our early dates when he spent half the night making a picnic for us from scratch! He had been paying attention to my favorite foods and made a very thoughtful and personal meal and even brought me my favorite ice cream!

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
I was one of those kids who grew up dreaming of being an astronaut, and Neal has spent a lot of time with me in space museums.  So it was perfect that Neal proposed to me in a planetarium under the stars! He asked the planetarium to play my favorite song and had the words "Will You Marry Me" projected into the stars! He also had all of our close friends hiding in the audience and it was such a treat to have them there.

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
Neal and I knew that we wanted our wedding to incorporate a lot of things that were near and dear to us.  We had our dream venue, but we needed help getting the rest of the details in place. My wedding planner, Sokha from Apsara Events, was instrumental in helping me connect with vendors and making sense out of my decor ideas. I found my makeup artist (Sumaiya Waheed) through another Florida wedding on Maharani Weddings, and my mendhi artist (Amrita Henna) through Instagram! Our photographers (Latelier Lumiere) and videographers (Riant Films) had such delightful personalities that it was super easy to work with them and have fun with our photoshoots!  Our guests are still talking about our DJ (DJ Pavan) because he had such an upbeat vibe!

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
Although I was a Bengali bride, I knew I didn't want to wear a sari. I did, however, want to wear a traditional red outfit.  I worked with the team at Nazranaa in New Jersey, and picked out a  beautiful red lengha with antique gold floral detail.  I really loved my wedding outfit, and felt extremely comfortable in it on my wedding day! The team at Nazranaa also helped me design an amazing reception outfit!

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
The most enjoyable part of the planning process was getting to spend a lot of time with my brother! He lived near our venue, so his house was our home base for a lot of our planning process.  It was also very enjoyable to get to spend some time with our planner and photographers outside of our usual wedding chores!

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
Our wedding weekend timeline was pretty relaxed, so our guests had the opportunity to go to the hotel spa, relax on the beach or in one of the Hilton's swim up bar pools, and do morning yoga on the beach - and they took advantage of it all!  We loved that people were able to have a little vacation while also celebrating with us!

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
There was a moment before our formal "Mr and Mrs" introduction when we were waiting and were very nervous about performing our choreographed first dance. The attendant at the gift shop saw us practicing in the hallway and told us about her and her husband's love story and gave us the confidence to get through that dance!

For events other than your ceremony, please tell us as much as you would like about the decor, style, dances, and all the special details.
For our sangeet, we went with a non-traditional theme of "A Night Under the Stars" (which matched our invitations!).  We had our dance floor on the beach with star string lights overhead, and fairy lights as our table centerpieces.  The style was beach casual (we served tacos!) mixed with a touch of elegance. For our reception, we went with a very romantic vibe.  There was a lot of light and touches of gold, blush, and greenery. Our decorator (Maharani Designs) brought my visions to life and I was speechless when I walked into each event!

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
Firstly, take care of yourself!  Being a bride is like having a second job, so don't forget to take time to relax.  Also, go out of your comfort zone and talk to guests other than your close friends. Many of them may be your parents friends, but this is the perfect opportunity to get to know them, and for them to get to know a little about you! Plus it'll make your parents happy!

Anything else you want to tell us? We'd love to hear all about your other details! (jewelry, mehndi, venue, cake, bouquets, etc.)
My husband and I picked our venue because of our previous vacations at Clearwater Beach. My brother lives in Tampa and we always had a great time in the area, so we knew our guests would as well. The Hilton Clearwater Beach was actually my favorite venue before I even met Neal! Being on Clearwater Beach just elicits a sense of calm and happiness from me and I wanted our close friends and family to be able to share that feeling!

Maharanis, please check back tomorrow for more wedding inspiration!

Clearwater, FL Bengali Wedding by L'Atelier Lumière

A heavenly ceremony set up in the white sands of the private shores of the fabulous Hilton Clearwater Beach awaited for Debarati and Niraj! The planning firm behind the celebrations, Apsara Events, executed a fantastic job as they helped to create, side by side with the lovely soulmates, a perfect stress-free ceremony featuring stunning views and exquisite details! Raja, Niraj had a stylish joyride thanks to Cycle Springs Powersports who provided one of their three-wheeled Polaris Slingshot for the lucky groom while Maharani Debarati stole the limelight and arrived illuminated by the sunlight crowned by her traditional tiara Mukut! Maharani Designs delighted the newlyweds and their guests with an airy mandap in white that blended with the whiteness of the sand! I adore the wood aisle runner and how the color had a minimal collaboration in this ethereal design as it only included discreet sprinkles of charming blush pink to add the right amount of color grace to the lush florals! Check the sweet seaside photos by the talented L'Atelier Lumière International Photographie in our complete gallery!
