Santa Susana, CA Indian Wedding by Lin & Jirsa Photography

Here comes the bride, Maharanis, and she's simply sensational in her red blouse and lace skirt lengha by Kunal Anil Tanna! Her picture perfect hair and makeup, by MUA Dolled Up by Lulu, is turning heads and inviting admiration from guests as she makes her way down the aisle at her outdoor ceremony at Hummingbird Nest Ranch in Santa Susana, California. Bridal and Event Lounge's planning and design prowess has delivered the most unforgettable Indian wedding event for her, complete with envy-worthy floral and decor details. The ceremony area is completely covered from above with a contemporary canopy composed of panels of rich, red fabric. Rose petals line the aisle, and a peach-colored backdrop with florets and white and orange kissing balls play the perfect supporting role on the wedding stage. These captivating ceremony moments were photographed by Lin & Jirsa Photography, and you can see more highlights from it in the complete gallery!

Maharani Riddhi on her ceremony style:

"Our wedding style was a combination of traditional and modern, representing how my husband and I are together. I am very Indian (I love the Bollywood movies, traditions, etc.) and he is pretty Americanized. For the ceremony, we did it traditional, with red, orange and gold as theme colors for the day. We both wanted the ceremony part to be fairly traditional Indian style. We had an open mandap so our parents could sit with us for parts of it and everyone in the crowd could see it!"

On whar she loved most about planning her dream wedding:

"The most enjoyable part about the wedding planning process was working with my husband. We were a real team throughout the process. I would handle some vendors, he would handle some. I would start projects, he would end them. It really worked out well. You know if you can plan a wedding together, you can pretty much get through everything else!"

It's getting close to party time, Maharanis! Join us in a bit for major reception details that will blow you away!

Santa Susana, CA Indian Wedding by Lin & Jirsa Photography

Before we jump into the baraat and ceremony, I had to share some more portraits and a few decor details with you to get you ready — all of it at once would've overwhelmed your senses because it's just that fabulous! Wouldn't expect anything less with Bridal and Event Lounge behind it all. They always manage to plan and design wedding events that take our breath away. Lin & Jirsa Photography snapped up some of the most unforgettable portraits of the hubby and wife-to-be and their band of marry men, and women. The Hummingbird Nest Ranch made the perfect backdrop for these wedding party pics that show off the bridesmaids' saris and groomsmen's traditional ensembles. The ceremony set up looks incredible, and wait until you see it up close in detail when I get back! For now, head into the complete gallery for more amazing portraits!

Santa Susana, CA Indian Wedding by Lin & Jirsa Photography

Welcome, wedding lovers! We're starting this week off with the most stunning Indian wedding event, captured by Lin & Jirsa Photography at the Hummingbird Nest Ranch in Santa Susana, California! This wondrous and awe-inspiring event was planned and designed by the uber talented folks over at Bridal and Event Lounge, who also took charge of all the floral and decor details. Let's meet today's blushing Indian bride, Riddhi, as she gets ready for her big day with the help of hair and makeup extraordinaire Lulu Nguyen of Dolled Up by Lulu — a SoCal bridal fave! The beauty expert gave Maharani Riddhi the most gorgeous curls and ruby red lips to go with her incredible wedding lengha by Kunal Anil Tanna! We love her lace skirt and entire look from top-to-bottom! Today's groom, Amish, complemented his wife-to-be handsomely in his ivory sherwani and the happy couple made the perfect pair in their first look portraits. You can see even more memorable highlights as the bride got ready and view the rest of her and Amish's pics in the complete gallery!

Maharani Riddhi on how she met the Raja of her dreams, Amish:

"We met when we were teenagers at a family gathering since we had some common family friends. However,  we lost touch for 10 years and re-met when we were 25 in Los Angeles. We started dating shortly thereafter and we knew there was something there. After 5 years and some long distance in between, we got engaged and married!"

On her Raja's super romantic proposal:

"I am a major romantic by nature, but my husband is a little less so! However, he really surprised me for the proposal. He invited all our closest family and friends to the Getty Museum in Los Angeles (where we had one of our first dates) and had them hide on the balcony. He then had his brother's fiancee bring me to the Getty on the premise of another separate event so I had no idea anything was happening that day. Then, as I'm walking down the garden in the Getty, he pops out of nowhere in the middle of the Getty garden and gets down on one knee to propose. It was a perfect Los Angeles day and all my closest family/friends were on the balcony cheering us on, along with every tourist at the Getty that day!"

On her dream wedding lengha:

"I spent A LOT of time on Pinterest figuring out exactly what my dream lenghas would look like. I then went to India and worked with a close friend and an up and coming designer in Mumbai, Kunal Tanna, to make sure I got exactly what I wanted. He is an exceptional designer with a really great background and made my thoughts about what the dress would be come to reality."

On her hair and makeup:

"I used Pinterest a lot and this was another way I got so many ideas for the hair/makeup. I ended up using Dolled Up by Lulu for my make up/ hair artist and it worked out great."

Meet me back here later today to witness one of the most breathtaking wedding ceremonies to hit our blog!

Livermore, CA Indian Fusion Wedding by Wedding Documentary Photo + Cinema

Our final Filmy of the day features some very familiar faces. It's hard to forget Sipra and Kevin, whose incredible Indian fusion wedding event in Northern California was photographed by the uber talented Wedding Documentary Photo + Cinema. Lucky for us, and good call from the newlyweds, Wedding Documentary Photo + Cinema was also called on to create a highlight reel for the happy couple — and here it is! Every sensational moment from Maharani Sipra's special day was captured and edited just splendidly in this cinematic little gem. From Raja Kevin on horseback, courtesy of Vintage Carriage Company, during his baraat, to the unforgettable post-ceremony party catered by Madhuban Indian Cuisine, every second of this film is remarkable. The Indian bride of the hour looks spectacular from start to finish, through two wedding ceremonies and a serious celebration, thanks to the hair and makeup prowess of Laenka By Myrium. Her elegant red and cream bridal lengha from Vama Designs shows off her sophisticated Maharani style, and her Grecian white gown is simply stunning on her. Relive this beautiful couple's superb wedding event right here — you won't regret a second of it!
