Laguna Niguel, CA Sikh-Hindu Wedding by Matei Horvath Photography

The big moment is among us! Matei Horvath Photography guides us through Harpreet and Shagun's dual Sikh and Hindu ceremonies at The Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel in Southern California. Everyone, who received an invitation—designed by InviteInk, can sit back and enjoy all the wedding splendor. The blinged-out bride dons her precious pink lengha for the traditional Sikh wedding. Following their indoor nuptials, the Hindu union takes place outdoors where guests are seated on white Chiavari Chairs. Shagun takes my breath away as she walks down the aisle in a radiant red and gold lengha. After the twinkling twosome exchange their vows, and malas—by Aloha Island Lei, a majestic horse and carriage, provided by Enchanted Carriages, carries them off in true Cinderella fashion! Thanks to the meticulous planning and design of Elegant Events by Nutan, this day has been a fairy tale dream come true! See more details from this magical moment in the gallery!

From the bride, on the wedding style:

"I would say our wedding style is best described as "classic." We are both not the most adventurous people when it comes to style and would rather stay safe than venture out and do something crazy. Our color inspiration came from a shirt of mine that Harpreet likes which was teal in color. We both love that color and paired it with gold and hoped to use that our theme. We ended up only using those colors for the Sikh ceremony portion of the wedding."

Most enjoyable thing about wedding planning:

"I enjoyed shopping for outfits in India the most. The colors and varieties available in India were amazing and trying on all the outfits was super fun!"

The most special moment:

"My most special moment was walking down the aisle during the Hindu ceremony, accompanied by my brother/cousins, watching my handsome groom standing there with my parents and in-laws. I remember seeing my mom and dad watching me walk with tears of joy in their eyes."

Laguna Niguel, CA Sikh-Hindu Wedding by Matei Horvath Photography

Prepare yourselves to be taken away to the grand Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel in California, for this pristine pre-wedding photo shoot by Matei Horvath Photography! I am loving the turquoise and gold saris worn by the adorable bridesmaids. They are pretty as a picture! Even the charismatic elephant, provided by Have Trunk Will Travel, gets in on the action, however, it doesn't quite steal the spotlight from the Indian couple of the hour—Harpreet and Shagun. These lovebirds look beyond excited as they prepare to say their I dos. Check out even more pre-wedding shenanigans in the gallery!

From the bride, on how they met:

"I met Harpreet in medical school and knew he was "the one" pretty early on. He was a year below me in medical school at Emory University in Atlanta and we met through a common friend when he started school there. Our relationship was absolutely perfect and progressed so smoothly that after less than 6 months, we both knew that we would someday get married."

On the proposal:

"Harpreet surprised me on my birthday with a romantic proposal after dinner at a restaurant on top of Atlanta's tallest building with a rotating restaurant on the top floor. It was an intimate proposal followed by lots of phone calls and text messages! The next day we celebrated my birthday and engagement with all of our friends."

On the hair and makeup:

"I have LONG hair, so I definitely spent time looking online for hairstyles that would fit my long (and sometimes very poofy) hair. My hair and makeup artist (Angela Tam) did an AMAZING job working with my hair and perfecting my makeup."

On the mehndi:

"Neha Assar did my mehndi and she did such a great job. I loved working with her and she is truly the most talented mehndi artist I have seen."

On the lenghas:

"I did spend a good amount of time on the internet searching for lenghas and using pinterest…but when it came down to picking the outfits….all of my research was useless! I ended up picking outfits in the moment that seemed "right." If a lengha gave a good feeling inside, I got it! I did not limit myself to any designer or style and was open to anything that spoke to me."

London, UK South Asian Wedding by Stellify Productions

It's off to London for our next South Asian love affair in this unforgettable wedding film by Stellify Productions. This highlight reel features a doll of a bride who's been made up by Annie Shah to picture perfection. Her incredible ivory and silver bridal lengha from the Khubsoorat Collection is a Maharani dream-come-true. As she weds the Raja of her dreams in a civil ceremony that is as memorable as it is stunning, you can't help but feel a sense of grandeur and romance. To celebrate their newly formed union, they host a mind-blowing wedding reception at the Hilton Waldorf, where Uniflora has transformed the party venue into a stunningly chic affair. Guests are treated to food catered by Greenleaf, and dessert by Coco's Cakes. Krishan Desai, of Paragon, helps the bride and groom keep the momentum going with musical beats that have everyone glued to the dance floor. Fingers crossed that we can score some of the undoubtedly stellar wedding pics from Alpesh Rabadia Photography. Don't waste another moment. Watch this incredible celebration now!

The bride, on how she met her Raja:

"I first met Neil in 2005 when we were just 18 years old. We had gone to Greece with our friends and our groups got on well and ending up spending most of the week together. We were friends for about 3 years before we realised that we felt something more for each other. Our friends were both surprised but happy when we did finally get together!"

On her wedding style:

"I wanted something very sophisticated but vintage at the same time. I decided to go for a contemporary venue (Hilton Waldorf, London), however it had some very authentic, vintage features at the same time. For example, the main room where the civil was conducted was where the Movie Titanic 1953 version Was filmed. I had a vintage birdcage for my wedding cards, and I went for an ivory/gold theme throughout. Then of course I had to get my husband's input and as he is majorly into Marvel Superhero films, we decided to do superhero (and some villains) table names. To tie in with this, we created a comic strip of our love story which was displayed on our guestbook table."

On what she enjoyed most about planning her dream wedding:

"I enjoyed working with Neil and our family/friends on such a huge project. Everyone was willing to get involved and we tried our best to include as many people as possible in preparation for the big day. I enjoyed all the get togethers, the laughs, and all the happiness that was shared in the year of planning and on the day itself."

On selecting her wedding lengha:

"I am not a shopaholic at all, I have a vision in my head and i always know exactly what I want. Getting my wedding lengha was the most stress free part of the whole process. On my first day of "wedding shopping" I went to Green Street in Ilford to a shop called Khoobsurat run by a designer called Mani Kholi. I saw a customers design hanging on the rail and fell in love with it immediately. I liked the print, but not the style or colour, so I worked with the designer to recreate the vision I had in my head. We designed a blouse, re-styled the skirt and changed the colour and that was it! 2 months later, I picked it up, went next door to Kyles to get matching jewellery and that was it..Officially the most stress free bridal shopping experience!"

On her most memorable, wedding day moment:

"The whole day was magical, I felt like I was floating on air and my feet just did not touch the ground! My 2 brothers walked me in which was a very special moment, especially since the little one is only 5 years old! Seeing Neils face when he saw me for the first time was just unbelievable! I also had a dance with my elderly grandfather who I am very close to so that memory always sticks out for me too."

On her hair and makeup:

"My make up artist was the very talented Annie Shah. I had done modelling for Annie many years ago and said to her then that she would be doing my wedding makeup! Years later, I tracked her down and booked her a year in advance to ensure that she would be available to do my hair/makeup on the day. We had 1 meeting prior to the day, I told her I wanted my makeup style to be no different to how I would do it myself for a special occasion. I didn't want to look like a different person on my wedding day, Annie took everything I said on board and created the exact look I had in mind!"

Don't wander off too far, Maharanis! We still have one more amazing wedding production on its way, and we'd hate for you to miss it!
