Hello, Maharanis! We are back with more insights into Preyasha & Vikram's wedding festivities! This time we'll be taking you inside the halls of the Landsdowne Resort so we can join our lovely couple at their wedding ceremony. Right off the bat, we can tell you that this was a beautiful ceremony truly faithful to traditional Indian weddings. Dharma Events took care of the fantastic decor that set the mood for this ceremony with gorgeous floral arrangements and with the on-point placement of all the traditional fabrics that draped the room. This beautiful combination became the perfect backdrop for Preyasha & Vikram to unite their lives in marriage. Although the setting was alluring on its own, it was our gorgeous Preyasha who stole the show! She looked like a princess thanks to Monica Hurui that took care of her hair and makeup needs, and to Nazranaa that helped her find the perfect attire and jewelry for this life-changing event! We want to thank the good friends from Photos By Ayesha as they worked their magic to capture the most memorable moments of the ceremony, and they have shared them with us! So you can take a look at all the fantastic shots of this event in today's gallery!
How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
We met on shaadi.com, I felt like I knew about two to three months into the relationship. I knew after he would make me chicken curry and was by my side during my medical licensing exams. It has always been so easy being with him. We are inherently compatible and always willing to compromise to meet each other halfway.
Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
I nagged him and fought with him for years for a proposal. We dated about 4 years before we got engaged. After nagging him for 3 years I had given up. We went to an all-inclusive in Jamaica and he convinced me to wear something nice to this French restaurant. Even though I just wanted a lazy evening, I dressed up and we headed to dinner. He insisted on getting a photographer to take our photos on the beach. I was convinced the photographer was a sales gimmick and tried to convince Vik out of it. I tried to take selfies and was wondering why he was sweating bullets. At sunset, we are doing different poses for the photographer and he gets down on one knee and says, “since I’m in this position will you marry me.” I'm shocked and start giggling and manage to muster up “are you serious?” We have a private dinner at the beach and the Iberostar in Jamaica was amazing.

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
There is a moment when I was walking down the aisle and both Vik and I shared a moment. We were both tearful because only we knew the journey we had taken and all the adventures and setbacks we had been to get to this place. Vik is my person and I was grateful to be marrying someone that not only loves me but challenges me to grow.
For events other than your ceremony, please tell us as much as you would like about the decor, style, dances, and all the special details.

Dances- for Sangeet boys did a medley which was a mix of Tamil/Hindi and Indian sounds which were amazing.
Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
The wedding is only one day regardless of what happens, what really matters the most is you marry someone who gets you.
