Huntington Beach, CA Indian Wedding by Matei Horvath Photography

We return to Rima and Sundeep’s glittering reception celebration. The couple’s reception party was one for the books, and the darling duo dressed accordingly in black tie finery. The bride slipped into a stunning golden lehenga featuring plenty of mesmerizing embroidery. We love when brides play with their sartorial choices, and Rima’s multifaceted outfits throughout her special weekend are a perfect example of this concept. Rima brought in talented makeup and hair artists from Amber Lee who transformed this Maharani’s timeless beauty into a bombshell look.  Dapper Sundeep also was styling in his perfectly fitted black tux. With a couple this gorg, Matei Horvath Photography made sure to capture them in plenty of adorable reception snaps. Meanwhile, Sadhna's Floral Studio transformed the Hyatt Huntington Beach venue with gorgeous white, pink, and gold Indian decor. A pristine sweetheart stage was drenched in fragrant blooms, while the tablescapes were bursting with lavish centerpieces and shimmering candelabras. As the bride and groom finally made their grand reception arrival, guests cheered with delight, and were swept away in an evening filled with elaborate choreographed performances, melodious music, and delish catering by Manohar's Delhi Palace. Matei Horvath Photography has captured all the beautiful moments, so head into the full gallery to relive every detail! And head below for our exclusive interview with the Main Maharani herself.

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?

I met Sundeep my freshman year through my best friend from Boston University, Shanti. Shanti and Sundeep grew up together. Sundeep and I kept in touch as friends for 15 years (!!!) before we finally started dating. There was no "moment" I knew he was the one. It was a gradual process that felt right.

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!

We were visiting Portland, OR and decided to hike Multnomah Falls on Sundeep's birthday, October 7th. It was raining, I had on no makeup, my nails were not done, and we were simply enjoying nature - let's just say I was very surprised at the proposal (and that made it all the better). A random hiker passing by photographed the moment, and it's still one of our favorite pictures and moments to date.

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.

We wanted a short engagement, so we knew we had only a few months to pool in all of our energy and creative ideas efficiently. My mom is an incredible, talented florist, and I absolutely love her style. Together, we went through magazines, pictures, websites, etc. to find a style that fit our vision. We went to India to look for outfits and decor ideas.  I used various platforms and recommendations to lock down vendors.

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?

I had envisioned myself in a white bridal lengha. Out of our multiple events, the ceremony outfit was the only one where I had a strong vision of what type of bride I wanted to be - and it was in the color white. However, when shopping in India, I could not seem to find a white outfit that worked. My mom and I came across this mustard yellow outfit - completely different - and although initially skeptical, it ended up being my most favorite, unique outfit.

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?

From the reviews we received, the warmth from our family, decor, and the food :)

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?

Nope. It all felt special but went by so quickly. Too quickly. Thankfully having a videographer allowed us to relive the moments that we were too overwhelmed to soak in. We love having our photos and videos.

For events other than your ceremony, please tell us as much as you would like about the decor, style, dances, and all the special details.

For the Sangeet, we wanted a festive, loud, fun-filled event. My mom had these gorgeous panels made in India with large birds and a colorful theme involved. There were performances from family and friends that we loved, and the dancing and energy were constant.

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?

The arduous planning will all be worth it on the day of your event.

So lovely! We hope you enjoyed this gorg wedding!

Morning lovelies! Rima and Sundeep’s love filled weekend kicked off with a festive, bouncing baraat. This event was bursting with dancing, sophisticated fashion, and bright hues, and as you can see from vibrant photos below, the colors just radiate from the screen! The centerpiece of the evening was Maharani Rima of course, who donned a mustard lehenga with shimmering appliques. The most mesmerizing part of her ensemble were her shimmering kundan jewels and orange floral accessories, which made her look like a dazzling Queen. We’re such a huge fan of this floral aesthetic and think every bride should adorn herself with gorgeous blooms during her wedding celebrations. There’s nothing prettier! The Hyatt Huntington Beach venue was transformed with a multitude of sophisticated white and orange floral garlands and roses thanks to the creative efforts of Rima, her mom, and Sadhna's Floral Studio. One of the most important aspects of a ceremony is the stage setting, and the bride and groom had a fabulous set up framed with fragrant blooms and breezy draping. The artists at Matei Horvath Photography have captured all the lovely ceremony moments, so hurry over to the full gallery for a sneak peek. Coming right up is the dazzling reception, with amazing entertainment and delish catering by Manohar's Delhi Palace.

Morning lovelies! Today’s couple have a truly epic love story that made our hearts swoon with delight! Rima told us, I met Sundeep my freshman year through my best friend from Boston University, Shanti. Shanti and Sundeep grew up together. Sundeep and I kept in touch as friends for 15 years (!!!) before we finally started dating. There was no "moment" I knew he was the one. It was a gradual process that felt right!” So sweet. Every bride dreams of sealing the deal with her Prince Charming in a timeless fairy tale wedding. Maharani Rima and her Raja Sundeep definitely achieved this with their stunning SoCal matrimonial celebrations. The picture perfect soiree was filled to the brim with rose petals and romantic sparkle. The party planning began with Rima and her mom brainstorming floral and design concepts with the decor gurus from Sadhna's Floral Studio. To prepare for the most important walk of her life, the breathtaking bride donned a chic marigold lengha accessorized with glittering diamond jewelry. What a stunner! After every pin was in place and all the pleats of Rima’s lengha moved effortlessly, she was ready to reunite with her beau for an emotional first look on the grounds of the Hyatt Huntington Beach. She had her elated bridesmaids by her side, and we’re loving how this adorable posse were so happy to support Rima on her big day! Sundeep awaited his bride while looking dapper in a tailored sherwani. Matei Horvath Photography captured all the memorable moments in the vibrant stills that you can find in our full gallery.

Orlando, FL Indian Fusion Wedding by Sargeant Studios

Since Candy and Arjun were finally hitched, it was time for them to party! The charming duo’s reception at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress was a lavender dream come true, with gold and white accents at every turn. With planning done by the incredible Eventrics Weddings, we knew we were in for something special! We’re loving every floral and drape that the mavens at Occasions by Shangri-La whipped up for this once in a lifetime soiree. And most of all, we’re obsessing over the round, white dance floor that served as the focal piece in the space. Maharani Candy was a lovely vision of grace as she danced for her hubby in an ornate pink and yellow lehenga with a bombshell beauty look created by Michele Renee The Studio. Arjun soon joined his lady love on the dance floor and they sent their guests into a tizzy with their energetic moves. The lovebirds sure know how to have a good time, and we were thrilled to see the two giggling with joy during their reception program. Soon after, each and every guest swarmed the DJ booth to get down in an epic dance party we wish we could have witnessed in person. Luckily, Sargeant Studios was there to artistically capture the magic moments for all of us to relive. So much color and sparkle bursting from each lovely snap! If you’d like to relive all the romantic Thai ceremony moments at the Gaylord Palms Resort, or see more from the fancy reception shindig, hurry over the full gallery.

Orlando, FL Indian Fusion Wedding by Sargeant Studios

We’ve finally arrived at the moment Maharani Candy and her Raja Arjun say “I do” in their Indian wedding ceremony. Not a single detail was overlooked at this vibrant matrimony at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress, with a majestic mandap draped in rich pink fabrics and copious blooms overlooking the lush foliage outdoors. We have to give a round of applause to Occasions by Shangri-La for transforming the breezy space into a royal Indian palace! Every element of this wedding gave us visions of our favorite romantic flicks since it was filled to the brim with roses and sweet glances. Maharani Candy was a vision in vibrant pink, cream, and green hues, and her sparkling smile was highlighted with ruby lips and glimmering cheeks by the beauty masters at Michele Renee The Studio. The bride and groom had a heartfelt ceremony brimming with rich traditions, and their electric chemistry was obvious to all that witnessed the magical event. After taking their final vows, the elated duo bounded off the stage, thrilled to finally be Mr. and Mrs. What a refreshing soiree! Both the Thai ceremony at the Gaylord Palms Resort and Hindu ceremony at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress were simply breathtaking. Hats off to the planning and management mavens from Eventrics Weddings for pulling off such a seamless celebration.
