Happy Wednesday, my lovelies! Today we're headed to Nova Scotia with Trevor Allen Photography where beaming Maharani Sindura and her Raja Aneesh are getting the festivities underway with a sunshine-bright gaye holud! Our bride's lemon chiffon sari is a burst of cheer on this exuberant morning and I am a total fan of her Bohemian-style headpiece that so perfectly complements her summery look. The deep scarlet details are too FAB! And how about this tropical, balmy garden-esque venue at Saint Mary's Boat Club? I think I want to spend my next vacation aboard that lush beauty! As soon as this celebration comes to a close, it's time to begin the sangeet! A quick outfit change later, our bride and groom are ready to dance the night away! I'm gonna join them in the gallery!
From the bride: "It was very important for me to incorporate all the different cultures/backgrounds at play. Aneesh grew up in Dubai, and is from a Punjabi family. I grew up in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and my father is Kashmiri and my mother is Bangladeshi. So we had a lot of different items/customs selected from each culture, to create our hodgepodge of a wedding. This is represented through the joint Bangladeshi Gaye Holud and Punjabi Sangeet, through my bridal wear (Punjabi chudas and Kashmiri earrings), and through special touches like the bagpiper greeting the baraat on the Halifax waterfront."
Come right back for the grand baraat and gorgeous ceremony!
