Philadelphia, PA Indian Wedding by Lightyear Studio

Lights, camera, baraat! Sneha & Mihir’s love story unfolded in the most cinematic way at the stunning Hilton Penns Landing. This Indian wedding was a perfect blend of traditional charm and modern grandeur, a production worthy of a Bollywood blockbuster. Thanks to the masterful touch of Jay Rana Events and the breathtaking decor by JP Decor, creating a heavenly ambiance. Guests were spellbound as the couple exchanged vows under a canopy of roses, their love shining brighter than the crystal chandeliers.

Sneha, dazzling in a show-stopping bridal outfit adorned with intricate details, made an unforgettable entrance. Her radiant look, crafted by Bella Angel Brides, set the tone for a ceremony filled with joy and tradition. Mihir, looking equally regal in his bespoke ensemble, couldn’t take his eyes off his bride as the two locked eyes during their first look—a moment that had everyone reaching for tissues.

As day turned to night, the celebrations transitioned into a glamorous reception. The couple’s grand entrance to the beats of their favorite track had everyone on their feet. Mihir’s heartfelt speech and Sneha’s glowing smile were the stars of the evening. And let’s not forget the epic dance-off that ended with the couple taking center stage for their first dance, surrounded by a sea of twinkling lights.

While Light Time Photos’ booth allowed guests to take home some quirky memories, Sneha’s henna, designed by the talented Mehndi Kalogie, was the talk of the event, with guests marveling at its intricate beauty.

No cinematic wedding tale is complete without the brilliance of a skilled storyteller, and Lightyear Studio rose to the occasion magnificently. Every candid smile, every teary-eyed moment, and every heartfelt glance was immortalized through their lenses with unparalleled artistry. Their ability to play with natural light and architectural elements made ordinary settings extraordinary masterpieces. Whether it was the bride silhouetted against floor-to-ceiling windows, her crimson dupatta casting an ethereal glow, or the couple sharing a quiet moment on the waterfront with the city skyline in the background, they transformed these fleeting seconds into timeless works of art.

Itasca, IL Indian Wedding by WS Photography

If fairytales came to life, Simron & Rohan's South Asian wedding at the elegant Westin Chicago Northwest would undoubtedly be the plot. Nestled in the heart of Itasca, this luxurious venue is a dream come true for couples looking to blend modern sophistication with timeless traditions. With its picturesque surroundings, including serene lakes and lush greenery, the Westin was the perfect backdrop for a grandeur and romantic celebration.

The morning of the wedding began with Simron stepping into a bridal ensemble that was nothing less than a masterpiece. With intricate embroidery and hues of orange and gold, her outfit radiated traditional charm yet modern finesse. Styled to perfection by The Face Pro, Simron's look was an ode to regal beauty.

Simron's intricate mehndi by Unnati Shah carried meaning in every stroke. Hidden within the elegant swirls were deeply personal elements—like the airplane motif, symbolizing the couple's long-distance love story and countless flights to see each other. The wedding date was skillfully etched into the design, creating a timeless keepsake of their special day.

From coordinating the intricate pre-wedding ceremonies to ensuring every detail of the grand reception was flawless, Dream Events by Sonya proved why they are a go-to for South Asian celebrations. Rohan, equally dapper in his cream sherwani adorned with subtle golden details, entered like a king to claim his queen. The air was thick with anticipation as he awaited Simron at the beautifully adorned mandap designed by Prestige Wedding Decorations.

This magical moment was masterfully captured by the incredibly talented team at WS Photography, who have a knack for turning fleeting moments into timeless memories. Known for their artistic vision and ability to blend emotion with technical perfection, apart is their ability to make couples feel comfortable and confident in front of the camera.

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
Rohan and I have always cherished birthdays as moments of joy and celebration, but last year, mine became unforgettable. He planned a perfect day filled with my favorite things—brunch at Decadent (my go-to spot), exploring a local bookstore, and binge-watching our latest TV obsession, Hijack. Little did I know, the suspense of the show mirrored the nerves Rohan felt for what came next! The evening took a surprising turn under the guise of a birthday dinner with my best friend, who happens to share the same birthday. Instead, Rohan brought me to the picturesque bridge near Lincoln Park’s Honeycomb structure. There, a glowing "Marry Me" sign awaited as he got down on one knee and asked me to spend forever with him. When I said yes, I turned to find our photographer friend Ahad (@ahadbphoto) capturing the moment, and both of our families emerging from under the bridge with cheers and hugs. As if that wasn’t enough, Rohan had another surprise: a celebration at Hubbard Inn’s top floor, where our friends were waiting to dance the night away. We truly danced the night away, a hint of what was to be expected at our wedding given we both are dancers!

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
Planning our wedding was an incredible journey, blending our love for dance, our cultural heritage, and a deep desire to create a truly one-of-a-kind celebration. The first step was locking in our wedding planner and venue. I always knew I wanted Sonya from Dream Events by Sonya to plan our big day. As the founder of Shakti Queen Beats, I had worked with Sonya on countless weddings, choreographing for her clients. It felt like destiny to have her plan our own wedding.

When we toured venues, the Westin Chicago Northwest in Itasca stole our hearts. The stunning tented space was perfect for our ceremony, and with over 500 guests, it provided the comfort and grandeur we envisioned. The fact that Rohan’s parents were married in Itasca 35 years ago made the choice feel even more special.

Our vision was to make every detail unique and elegant, setting new trends while keeping our traditions and rituals alive. My bridal outfit was custom-made by Ramuli Creations in Orissa, my parents' hometown. Inspired by Rohan’s Rajasthani heritage, I chose a regal orange lehenga adorned with intricate work, paired with statement jewelry for a royal look, one I'm still obsessed with. Rohan’s anarkali sherwani complemented my outfit perfectly with pops of peach and orange. Our sangeet ensembles were vibrant, featuring yellow and seafoam green—a nod to saunf/mukhwas—while my sky-blue cape saree for the reception, designed by Mala and Kinnary, was a showstopper and one of my favorite outfits. Rohan matched the look with a custom-made sky-blue velvet tuxedo from Indochino.

For hair and makeup, Laura from FacePro exceeded every expectation. She created natural, radiant looks that aligned with my minimal makeup preferences while still ensuring I felt like a bride. My mom and I both adored her work. My bridal mehendi was done by Unnati who was an absolute wiz incorporating elements like the Chicago and Pittsburgh skylines, as well as a tooth to represent my husband's career as a dentist.

Our decor was inspired by a “big fat Bollywood wedding” theme, with Prestige Wedding Decor and Sonya bringing our vision to life. The sangeet was an enchanting “night under the stars,” featuring blue canopies and lanterns. The mandap and reception were breathtaking, with peach and white floral arrangements and a grand tree with floating glass lights serving as the centerpiece. Getting married under this floral tree was a dream come true.

Catering was another highlight of our celebration. Ashyana Catering delivered a culinary experience that left our guests raving, with standout dishes like mutton curry and paan kulfi. Absolute BBQ added flair to our Haldi lunch with live dosa and grilled paneer stations.

As Rohan and I are both dancers (Rohan was captain of his college bhangra team First Class Bhangra), entertainment was at the heart of our wedding. From a mother-daughter dance with my mom (a nod to our many performances together) to our choreographed first dance blending both ballroom and bhangra to a custom mix by our DJ Dr. Srimix, every moment was filled with rhythm and joy. Our family and friends dazzled with their performances, and the grand finale featured my Shakti Queen Beats team and Rohan’s First Class Bhangra team, complete with flips and towers.

Capturing all these moments were WS Photography and Aria Films, who documented every laugh, tear, and dance move with perfection.

Our wedding was everything we dreamed of and more—a celebration of love, culture, and the people who mean the world to us.

It is a testament to the magic that happens when two souls come together to celebrate their journey.

Palos Verdes, CA Indian Wedding by White Rose Production

You get pure wedding magic when you mix the sun-kissed shores of Terranea Resort with a couple as charming as Karishma & Vinay. Picture a love story unfolding against the backdrop of crashing waves, endless blue skies, and the coastal elegance of a California dream. And let's remember the sprinkle of Bollywood flair that made every moment sparkle!

From the moment Karishma made her grand entrance—draped in a breathtaking outfit that whispered tradition with a twist—she looked every bit the queen. Styled to perfection by the talented Dina Saddat, her makeup and hair embodied effortless grace, complemented by a custom ensemble that turned heads, made hearts flutter, and had Vinay in complete awe. And Vinay? Equally dapper in his designer outfit, he was the perfect prince to Karishma's dazzling queen. The first look? Let's say it was the moment that could melt the hearts of even the most seasoned wedding photographers.

Capturing memories that last a lifetime is no small feat, and Ushna Khan Photography was there, frame by frame, to immortalize each radiant smile, each heartfelt glance, and every tear that glistened with joy. White Rose Production seamlessly wove together Karishma & Vinay's big day into a masterpiece, blending sweeping panoramic shots of the oceanfront venue with close-ups that captured their most intimate exchanges. The team's skillful use of light, music, and editing made each scene feel like a page out of a romance novel. When you watch the final film, you're not just an observer but a guest, feeling the thrill of Karishma's bridal entrance, the excitement of their first dance, and the warmth of family laughter. Their video tells a story so personal and real that viewers can almost feel the sea breeze and hear the waves in the background.

But the real party began at the reception, where 3D Sounds took the energy up a notch. Karishma and Vinay set the dance floor ablaze, followed by friends and family who joined in the fun, proving that good music and a little rhythm are all you need for an unforgettable celebration. And, let's say their getaway in a classic car from Hollywood Classic Cars was the kind of fairytale send-off every bride and groom dreams of. They included little nods to their shared love for old Hollywood glamour and even surprised guests with vintage-inspired decor. A final, sweet touch that spoke volumes about their style and grace? A sentimental video montage that took everyone on a journey through their love story—from childhood snapshots to their first date. There wasn't a dry eye in the house.

Orlando, FL Indian Wedding by Marlies Hartmann

If the couple's love could be summarized in one word, it would be "indestructible"—which fittingly ties back to the groom's name. This NYC-based RN (Ami) and Emergency Medicine Physician (Avi) have a bond forged in an indestructible friendship, evident in every aspect of their big day.
Ami & Avi kicked off their epic wedding festivities with a waterfront welcome party in Waldorf Astoria Orlando, and what a scene it was! Picture this: shimmering waters, fusion hors d'oeuvres being passed around, and the crowd sipping custom cocktails in anticipation of the grand entrance. Ami, dressed in a dreamy Gaurav Gupta creation, turned heads with her ethereal look, while Avi complemented her effortlessly with his dapper style. And as they say, it was the calm before the storm—a three-day storm of celebrations, each with its unique twist.

The wedding ceremony itself was nothing short of whimsical. Ami walked down the aisle, draped in Seema Gujral's finest, as soft pink decor—curated to perfection by Prashe Decor—set the stage for a romantic, intimate atmosphere. The theme was gentle, feminine, and oh-so-pretty. One couldn't help but feel transported to an enchanted garden as the couple exchanged vows under a floral-adorned mandap, seamlessly blending modern elegance with traditional grandeur.

But that's not where the party ended. Fast forward to the evening: enter "The Art of Us"—their spectacular reception that showcased bold, dramatic aesthetics, perfectly mirroring Ami & Avi's vibrant personalities. This art-themed reception was decked with eclectic lighting by Trifecta Event Production, adding that 'wow' factor to an already epic venue. The dance floor was lit by DJ Juicy & DJ DP One, who knew how to keep the energy levels sky-high.

What's a wedding without a jaw-dropping first dance? Under the golden glow of chandeliers, Ami & Avi took to the floor for their first dance, and, well, let's say... moves were served, tears were shed, and memories were made. The talented Marlies Hartmann beautifully captured the photography for Ami & Avi's wedding. Every breathtaking moment, from the soft romance of the ceremony to the bold drama of the reception, was immortalized through their incredible eye for detail. As Dream Light Visuals captured every twirl and dip on camera, we wondered if this was a movie and when the credits would roll.

From the intricate Mehndi by Henna Allure that reflected their journey together to the fusion menu served by CGA Events & Gaurav Anand that represented their love for travel and exploration, every detail was thoughtfully crafted to tell their story.
