Engage! 17 Cayman Islands

Here at Maharani Weddings we are so excited to share our experience at the Engage!17 Summit in the Cayman Islands. Although this was not our first time to be enchanted with this world renowned experience; we left with a piece of our heart floating in the clear blue waters of the Caribbean. The luxurious summit boasts the best of the best with an eclectic group of wedding photographers, planners, event professionals and industry leaders all coming together to drive inspiration and motivation. This year the luxury wedding business summit took place at the Kimpton Seafire. Day 1 was Registration + Pop Up with all the SWAG you can imagine! Guests flocked to the pool area of the resort for the Beach party and the swinging after party when the sun set! The Rainbow Break was definitely a favorite! Fresh coconuts, colorful tents and the cool Caribbean breeze set the whole day. The entire gathering took place over three days and dispersed a lifetime of memories. The end result of this intimate and sought after event is clip after clip of clear blue sands, innovation, inspiration and you can find more photos in our gallery

Chicago, IL Pakistani Wedding by Maha Studios

We’re back with all of Meena and Tariq’s wedding deets! Before the ceremony began, the couple adorned themselves in their wedding finery. Maharani Meena was a showstopper in a ruby red gown and angelic hair and makeup by Makeup by Francesca. After the couple's emotional first look, they posted for some glamorous portraits. Their love in these stunning photos positively bursts off the screen. As we entered the lavish ballroom of the Chicago Hilton Hotel, we were blown away by the elaborate design elements Shaadi Creations created. From the intricate draping, peacock shaped floral arrangements, and festive tents erected over the food stations by Shahi Nihari, the space was transformed into an exotic, romantic dreamland. The photographers at Maha Studios captured the whimsy and beauty of the event perfectly, and you can enjoy all the photos in the complete gallery. Props to the couple and their family for pulling off such a perfect event. Next, we'll take you into all the glamorous wedding ceremony action, so stay tuned!

New York Fusion Wedding by J'adore Love

We sadly wrap up the last featured editorial honoring Maharani Artee and Michael. The love between the two is evident in all of these gorgeous photos captured by J’adore Love. Artee was a sultry goddess in a fitting white wedding dress with a sweetheart neckline. Hair was kept in an elegant updo that held a trailing veil. Henna for all outfitted the bride with the most elegant mehndi designs and as quoted from the bride, "Having my henna being just bright while wearing my White dress really showed how much of fusion this wedding was and loved how J'adore Love was able to capture that!" The indoor quarters of the Greentree Country Club exhilarated a timeless design, bathed in soft neutral bows and crystals hanging on vines. Elegant Floral Design masterminded the design sequence of the ages. DJ Rah Raj and DJ Speede of NY Event Productions made sure that the party was poppin and as you can tell, this was one party that was swept into the wee hours of the morning. There are a ton of pics left to explore in the gallery, so take a looksie and get some inspiration of your own!

New York Fusion Wedding by J'adore Love

When Maharani Artee began her wedding planning process there was a definite element that stood out in her mind: don’t be afraid to be different. With her bold choices in color for her wedding lengha, it was only natural this aspect resonated into the wedding venue. The traditional ceremony at the Gujarati Samaj was a cornucopia of colors. The mandap was a replica mini temple with iron wrought framing and traditional draping. Elegant Floral Design completely pulled out all the stops to make sure that the venue was draped in Bollywood elegance. One of the most treasured moments of the night was the look on Michael’s face as he set his eyes on his bride and the rest is history, folks. Capturing all the lovely images was J’adore Love who has created the perfect gallery for your perusal.

New York Fusion Wedding by J'adore Love

Hello lovebugs! Can you believe that we are already in the month of May? It seems that the amount of wedding planning that has occurred in the first part of the year is slowly coming to fruition for some of you brides! If you are seeking some major inspo for an Indian Fusion wedding, you are in luck this morning ladies. Today’s dreamy couple Artee and Michael were a match made in heaven from the start. Always in proximity of each other going up, this Maharani had no idea that her Maharaja was always tucked away nearby. However, when Michael found himself falling in love with Artee, it was only a matter of time before his proposal (which you can read all about down below)! To be quite honest, this is one of the romantic gestures I have read - Michael has an eye for creativity! The bride and groom opted to have a fusion wedding to honor both the groom’s Christian background and Artee’s Hindu upbringing. Bolly Couture revolutionized Artee’s vision for a designer lengha that set her apart from the traditional colors we are used to. What resulted was a multifaceted ensemble that just jumps off the screen. Oversized jewelry (hello, bangles!) was the perfect complementary to Artee’s stunning bridal wear. Once the bride was all dolled up, she was ready for her wedding ceremony and to reunite with her life partner. J'adore Love has captured the tender moments beautifully in our gallery.

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!

This is one for the books so prepare yourself. April 16th, 2015. I woke up 6am that morning knowing I had to drop my best friend (my matron of honor) to the JFK airport, and the only reason I agreed to do this is because Sandy is literally the only person I would wake up that early for. My Mom and Dad somewhat rushing me out of the house because they didn't want me to be late in picking up Sandy which was odd but I didn't think too much of it. I picked up Sandy with her luggage on our drive to the airport she was texting on her phone the entire time and I asked what was going and she made up some story that she was fighting with her husband to distract me. We pull up curbside to the drop off area, I get out of the car to help her with her luggage and suddenly I feel someone turn me around and it was Mike! He went down on one knee and as he did it, I saw all my parents, his parents family and friends come out through the terminal gate doors all with their phone cameras in their hands and I was in complete shock. He proposed and I literally couldn't speak, and just nodded yes. Sandy handed me her luggage and said this is for you. It wasn't just a proposal but a surprise engagement getaway to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic for 3 days. When I left my house that morning Mike and my closest girlfriends when into my house to with my mom to pack some clothes and things I would need for my trip. Here I thought I was just going to work. It was the perfect proposal and I literally had no clue. You know a girl is surprised when her nails aren't done and makeup isn't on. Mike really thought about everything. He got permission from my parents and even called me job and my supervisor to ensure it was okay to whisk me away for couple of days. Aside from our wedding days, it was one of the best moments of my life.

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?

The most enjoyable part of our planning was realizing that Mike was not the typical groom but definitely a partner. Planning and vision was definitely a joint effort and gave me an example of how our marriage would be; a true partnership.

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?

I felt our guests definitely loved all the dance performances but the Hindu wedding and the feeling that they were in actual Bollywood movie at times and really just enjoying themselves at the wedding. Most of our families are still talking about it.

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?

Well it was more so two special moments...being carried in my dholi and then being able to walk down the aisle and both times just focusing on Mike seeing how genuinely happy he was... it wasn't just in his smile but you could see it in his eyes as well. I'll never forgot that.

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?

Forgot about trying to be "different" and just build a vision that works for both you and your future husband/partner. Once your wedding week begins don't stress when things are perfect but know it always just works itself out. The days go by so quickly so try to take in every moment you can... together.

Stay tuned for the gorgeous wedding coming right up!
