Woodland Park, NJ Indian Wedding by PhotosMadeEz

Decadent doesn’t begin to describe Pooja and Siddharth’s wedding ceremony at West Mount Country Club, an event that had our jaws dropped with each picture that we saw. PhotosMadeEz truly did a stupendous job with visual storytelling. Planned by Elite Events, this was one dreamy event that was doused in rich and royal hues of burgundy and gold. The stage was nothing short of a marvel by Elegant Affairs, with the main mandap frame comprising of gold wood carved panels, an Art Deco ceiling, and gold columns. Red floral arrangements adorned the top portion of the mandap. Pooja dazzled in a burgundy and gold luxe velvet Sabyasachi ensemble, with a Kundan jewelry set to complement her look. SV Bridal Concepts by Sanjana Vaswani gave Pooja a quintessential regal look, with a deep berry lip, a sleek bun, and sharp eye makeup. Siddharth looked suave in a Study by Janak white sherwani with matching thread work and gold accents. No detail was spared, because even Pooja’s vidaai horse carriage from Equishare Baraat Horses was decked up in red flowers and balloons. Making an almost-monarchical exit, the couple and their wedding party were all set to rock the reception later that evening. When the pendulum swings between palatial and traditional, you know it is one blockbuster of a wedding! Such was the aura at Pooja and Siddharth’s wedding events, a fusion of contemporary and traditional elements orchestrated by Elite Events. The festivities began with a Garba/Sangeet at Park Ridge Marriott where Medley Entertainment caught the audience’s pulse and had them entertained with classics and current hits. Joseph Minasi Weddings was there to catch all this live action on film. Elegant Affairs outdid themselves with the decor! The stage backdrop was a sight to behold, with a beautifully-lit criss cross panel in the center, vibrant and sumptuous orange and violet drapes on either sides, and printed umbrellas that added so much richness to the setup. Bollywood influences were imbued elegantly at this ethnic bash. Cushions with movie stills printed on them, and Filmfare magazines with Pooja and Siddharth on the cover adorned the velvet seating. The fashion quotient peaked at this wedding with Pooja opting for a traditional-chic Payal Singhal number in tangerine and rani pink. She completed her look with stunning jhumkas and a temple necklace. SV Bridal Concepts by Sanjana Vaswani gave Pooja a sun-kissed glow, and styled her hair in a loose side braid. Henna For All did a fabulous job with Pooja’s mehndi - an aesthetic design with intricate details. Siddharth contrasted in a festive royal blue kurta with Kairi and thread motifs, offset with aqua blue dupatta and bottoms. Moghul Caterers was a natural choice given the couple’s fervor for richness in a contemporary setting. Long Beach, CA, Indian Wedding by Matei Horvath Photography

We have almost come to the end of Bhoomi and Amar’s extravagant nuptial bash, and we’re holding on to it with everything we have got because we are so in love with the whole fiesta! The 500-people reception was doused in glitz, with navy blue, gold, and hints of red as the color palette. Everything was super unique and personalized, and according to Bhoomi, guests raved about the creativity factor, the entertainment, and the food. So kudos to the planning and decor by Ethnic Essence Couture Events, DJ Amit Kotecha from 3D Sounds, and Manohar’s Delhi Palace for the scrumptious delicacies. The dessert spread consisted of macaroons, cake pops, custom cookies on a table where the sign read “love is sweet, grab a treat and take a seat!”. Bling square gold arches made for a sophisticated stage setup, and there was also an ice sculpture of Bhoomi and Amar’s logo in between the buffet stations. The white dance floor at Hyatt Regency Long Beach, too, featured a custom logo in the middle. Bhoomi’s lovely midnight blue lehenga was accented with a sequined mint tulle dupatta, which we thought was color combination at its finest. In his turn, Amar looked suave in a classic black tuxedo paired with a black bow tie. All the bridesmaids and groomsmen looked delightful in matching black and blue ensembles! Robles Video Productions filmed all the color galore and wedding glory, and we can’t wait to see what the final version looks like! With each event looking more spectacular than the previous one, it was so hard to handpick the photos for this one so make sure you head to the gallery to take a good look!

We have a little more in store for you through our fun conversation with the ecstatic Bhoomi, so here goes:

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
Amar proposed during a boat ride along the intercoastal in Florida. One of my friends got me to the dock early in the morning by saying there was a pharmacy event. When I got there I saw Amar and was so surprised (he was living in atlanta at this point for residency so I couldn't believe he was in Florida).  He had an assortment of different foods for us to eat and brought a wonderful picnic basket filled with goodies and champagne and orange juice. When we got to the ocean, he handed me a book to read. The book included images of our faces into Bollywood actors and each "Bollywood movie" was related to our love story. The last page in the book said "and I have one last question to ask you" and then he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. At that moment the photographer started taking pictures of us!  When we arrived at the end, all of our family and friends were waiting to greet us. It was such a great feeling to see everyone, especially since many of them had flown in for the event. After that we went to his parents house for a lunch that they hosted. In the evening we went to dinner in Miami where we had a private table and had personalized menus on each plate. The menus had our names on them and pre-picked selections to choose from. After that we danced the night away at a rooftop bar. It was the most amazing day of my life and Amar had thought of everything!

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
The most enjoyable part was working with all the vendors to create my dream wedding and sharing this experience with my family.

What did your guest particularly love about your Wedding?
So many people have told my mom that this wedding was a production and that its the best wedding they have been to. Everyone especially LOVED the food, the decor, the entertainment, the creativity, and so much more!

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
One of my favorite moments was when we said our own vows. I also loved our first dance, our entrance, and our dance at the reception with our friends and family.

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
Planning is very stressful but its also worth it! I miss it now!

All good things come to an end, and so did the #Bhoomarang bash. But don't you worry because there is a ton of exciting content lined up for you in the coming days!

Long Beach, CA, Indian Wedding by Matei Horvath Photography

The #Bhoomarang ceremony was a festive bonanza for so many reasons, and Matei Horvath Photography made sure it looked like one through the stunning clicks. It looked like a Bollywood movie set with everything lining up so perfectly, thanks to Smita Mohindra from Ethnic Essence Couture Events. Enchanted Carriages orchestrated a joyous Baraat for Amar, who looked spiffy in a floral-embroidered ornate sherwani. Since the ceremony was hosted in the outdoors of Hyatt Regency Long Beach, a table consisting of sunnies were laid out for the guests with a punny sign that read “don’t be blinded by our love, please take some shades!” - what a great, and easy DIY idea for an outdoor ceremony, right? An exquisite Kundan matha patti adorned our Maharani’s forehead, and her whole look came together through the custom couture white lehenga finished with stunning sequin thread work. “The funny thing is that I found my wedding outfit on the first day we went shopping but was too scared to buy it since I had not seen anything else,” gushed Bhoomi. Bhoomi was on top of everything when it came to planning and she knew that there was no one better than Dolled up by Lulu for her. “I booked Lulu quite early because she’s so amazing and I knew I wanted her from the very beginning”, said Bhoomi. And now for the part you have all been waiting early for - the ceremony decor by Ethnic Essence Couture Events! Oh what a sight it was, it had us singing Coldplay’s  Yellow all along! The waterfront ceremony featured an all white canopy setup with white tulle drapes, and a pristine white glossy aisle leading to it. LOVED the pops of yellow that came by in so many ways - the groomsmen and bridesmaid outfits, the petals scattered along the aisle, and the 2D Lord Ganesha as the backdrop. This ceremony had us swooning, and we urge you to check out the gallery

It’s a rainy day here in San Francisco, and Bhoomi and Amar’s vibrant wedding is quite literally like a ray of sunshine! Bhoomi got a head start on her planning by starting a year and a half prior to the #Bhoomarang (seriously, that hashtag is everything!) wedding, which resulted in a beautiful and seamless shindig. With Smita Mohindra from Ethnic Essence Couture Events to plan this harmonious affair, everything looked picture perfect for the mastermind Matei Horvath Photography to photograph. Bhoomi always knew she wanted an outdoor wedding, so Hyatt Regency Long Beach worked out perfectly because “not only did they have a nice outdoor space, they had the best ballroom (she) had seen.” A traditional Haldi and Garba marked the beginning of this multi-event Gujarati bash. You can tell from one glance that the pre-wedding festivities were not just customary rituals but a bucketload of fun! Ethnic Essence Couture Events did up the outdoors of Hyatt Regency Long Beach in a mela/ carnival theme using bright hues, string lights, colorful tents, lounge seating, and Jay Bharat set up a plethora of food and drink stations. There was also a Churro bar from Ridges Churro Bar for desserts. Everyone moved indoors for the Garba segment, which was done up spectacularly. We particularly loved the ethnic murals that were painted on canvases and displayed around the ballroom. Amar totally surprised us with his rouge pink Bandhgala sherwani that he carried off so elegantly. Bhoomi’s distinctive looks for each of the events were absolutely gorgeous, but one that stood out was an iridescent mirror work blouse in a lovely shade of green. Given the costume change galore, Dolled up by Lulu did a fabulous job coordinating Bhoomi’s makeup looks to each outfit, and even styling her hair differently each time. Robles Video Productions filmed this extravaganza, while Amit Kotecha from 3D Sounds made sure the guests had a ball through and through. The end of the beginning came via lanterns that lit up the sky, and you need to check out the gallery to see how marvelous the whole thing was!
