Los Angeles, CA Indian Wedding by Erin Shimazu Photography

Welcome back, dolls! Erin Shimazu Photography took some super amazing portraits of our bride and groom and their wedding party. Today's Maharani looks super in her bridal lengha, and the detailed shot showing off her mehndi by Henna Dil Se is just beautiful. The groom is striking in his clean, white suit, and his entourage of groomsmen are smokin' in their traditional sherwanis. I'm loving the magenta bridesmaid's saris with their delicate, silver accents. Looks like everything is coming together in the fashion department for this memorable event. In just a bit, we'll check out the baraat, and the groom's ride by Enchanted Carriage, plus some great floral and decor details from the ceremony. For now, head to the gallery

The proposal story:

"Eswari headed out that morning to meet her friend, Tana, for brunch at John O'Groats. However, when she arrived at the restaurant she found Vishal standing there with a mischevious smile and a table for two. Eswari began to suspect that Vishal was going to propose, but Vishal insisted that he just wanted to suprise her and take her out since she had a stressful week. Eswari, confused yet intrigued, played along and decided to see where this day would go.

After a delicious brunch, Vishal did not propose.... Instead, he asked Eswari to get in her car and meet him at the restaurant where his parents first met her. Shortly after, they both met at Ugo's in Culver City and spent the afternoon chatting over cocktails. After they got the check, he asked Eswari to hop in her car and meet him on the corner of Westwood and Pico. Eswari, still confused, found herself at Guitar Center where Vishal bought her a keyboard stand that he had promised to get her over a year ago so she could play his keyboard. Touched by the gesture, Eswari decided that Vishal had set up this whole day just for the keyboard stand and wasn't going to propose after all.

However, the day wasn't quite done yet. Vishal had been telling Eswari all day that he was planning to cook a nice dinner at home later that night, and that it would be fun to grab dessert before hand. So they got in the car, but Vishal wouldn't tell Eswari where they were headed for dessert. They pulled up to Sarah the Wine Bar, one of Eswari's favorite restaurants, but the sign said it was closed. Eswari was fixated on the fact that the restaurant was closed and Vishal had to force her to go inside only to find a table all set with a beautiful arrangement of flowers. Before Eswari could comprehend what was going on, Vishal dropped on one knee and proposed!"

See you in just a bit ladies!

Woodland Park, NJ Indian Wedding by Charmi Peña Photography

Our bride has made her way to her ceremony venue, which is decked out beautifully. I love that the glass mandap is set up against a large bay window, letting in natural light and making our couple glow! The hanging chandeliers and all of the floral details along the aisle are super romantical and add the perfect touch of pretty. Charmi Peña Photography was on hand to capture these great ceremony moments between our lovely couple and each and every image speaks volumes about this special event. Head on over to the gallery for even more inspiration from this memorable event, including a very unique baraat ride with the groom!

The bride, on her wedding style:

"The wedding was very elegant and that was exactly what I wanted. The mandap was made out of pixie glass pillars with crystals and orchids hanging from the center. The background was the big open windows so we had massive amount of natural night....beautiful! My favorite color is blue so that incorporated into the reception which just made the venue look amazing! The candles and vases with floating candles added a great touch. The purple sequin tablecloth made the whole cake table look magnificent."

On planning her wedding:

"What I most enjoyed was having all my family and friends celebrate this special day with us! In the end all the hard work paid off knowing everyone had an amazing time."

I'll be back with our bride as she shows off her reception fashion and some amazing floral and decor details! Don't miss out!

On the reception:

"For the reception, since it was going to be at beautiful Sunset Bay with a clear top marquee, we wanted a breezy vintage look. So we used all white linens with a burlap runner, white florals interspersed with beautiful greenery between the arrangments. We had vintage chandeliers hanging from the top and an all white dance floor. It all contrasted beautifully with everyone's colorful Indian outfits."

On the most memorable parts:

"The most memorable parts of the wedding day for me were when I first walked down the stairs of the Ritz towards the Great Lawn with my dad...seeing how happy he and my my mom were and then seeing Praveen beaming from that gorgeous mandap. Other highlights...when I first walked into Sunset Bay and saw all our guests waiting for us in the spectacular setting.  And finally, hearing the speeches from my brother and the words said by Praveen."

This wedding is just a dream! Hope you enjoyed it, maharanis!
