McKinney, TX Indian Wedding by SR Photo Films

Every wedding is a big event, and no big Indian wedding spree is complete without video proof! Such is the case for Priya and Bhavik's wedding! This traditional Indian bash deserved to be documented by a true wedding film expert. Thankfully, SR Photo Films' style fitted perfectly with the couple's vision. Artfully chronicled, this highlight film unveils this union's candid moments and emotions from start to end. The fabulous Events by Hala crew planned to perfection all the events that started with an exciting Sangeet function at the magnificent Sheraton McKinney. Next in the wedding timeline, the ceremony was an autumnal dream! Our sweet exchanged vows at the enchanting Avalon Legacy Ranch amidst acres of wooded coves and a rustic ambiance. Priya made a statement on her big day with a fabulous bridal ensemble draped and styled by Ms. Painted Lady. Who also glammed up our Maharani with floral hair accessories that added romance to her bridal outfit. Bhavik arrived at the ceremony accompanied by the sounds of DJ Riz Entertainment's dhol drums, who also provided the fantastic music that enlivened the reception! One more time, these lovebirds headed to the Sheraton McKinney for their last function and led the crowd to a great space tastefully decorated by Elegant Affairs. An outfit change or the newlyweds had them ready to dance the night away. Maharani Priya slipped into a light Cyan color gown, and Raja Anish swapped his Sherwani for a sleek black tuxedo. VEK Photo captured and curated all the imagery for this big affair, so don't forget to click through the photography feature we dedicated to these newlyweds. Scroll down and take a sneak peek at this cinematic wedding story right now!

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
I met Bhavik through a dating app. I knew he was the one after he came to visit me in Dallas at the time from Arkansas. His calm nature and being a secret, silly jokester made me fall for him hard! He just has this ease to him that I absolutely love so much. On the last day before he headed back to Arkansas we laughed so much, I knew I wanted to hold on to those laughs for a lifetime. We ended up doing long distance up until the wedding and while it was tough we managed to make the greatest memories from the moments we were able to see each other. I just knew I didn't want to let this man go.
Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
The proposal occurred on May 23rd, 2020. It was the year of covid as everyone knows. I was graduating with my Master's Degree and everything for my school became virtual towards the end of the year. I didn't want to go back to campus for Graduation because it was going to be virtual however my whole family including Bhavik really wanted me to go back. They mentioned it is an opportunity of a lifetime to be back at Grad School and soak in the moments during graduation time on campus. Low and behold I thought I was getting graduation pictures done and got ready to go. The picture session turned into a proposal. Bhavik took me to the Sekrit Theater in Austin and proposed in a remote greenhouse. It was an absolute surprise and beyond beautiful. The local family came and we ended the night with a surprise Zoom call with close family and friends. It was an absolutely magical day and loved everything Bhavik had planned out. After the proposal, my sweet sister and brother-in-law planned a proposal backyard surprise party with friends the next day back at their house. It was amazing!
Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
The overall wedding planning was a whirlwind year due to covid. What made it at ease was our family support and our amazing wedding planner, Hala. She took care of all the details when it came to the final days. All our vendors were absolutely amazing and everything went so smoothly with the agenda we had aligned for the full weekend.
How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
My bridal lengha was a custom lengha I had made from Binari Art in Atlanta. My sister-in-law used her when she got married and loved her work. She had recommended I reach out to her. Ranisha Patel, the founder of Binari, created my vision and did so via Zoom. I didn't even have to go in for a fitting, she made the virtual process so simple and it turned out exactly like the sketches.
My reception outfit was from Studio Dallas, Divya is just a perfectionist, and loved seeing her entire collection. I was able to pick the perfect gown that I was looking for in a color I never thought about.
What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
The cake tasting! Due to Bhavik being in medical school and his busy schedule at the time, I ended up going with my Dad. It was such a fun experience to taste different flavors of cake and learn about the baking process. It is a memory I will always cherish!
What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
It looked like our guests really enjoyed the reception, the music was fab and it felt like a party that everyone enjoyed! An unforgettable night!
Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
A special moment for me was when my nephew and Bhavik's niece walked down the aisle first before the rest of our family members. I will never forget that moment and how special it is to me.
Walking down the aisle for any bride is so beyond special, I was able to walk down the aisle with my Dad which meant so much to me. Seeing Bhavik's smile the whole time during the ceremony and reception melted my heart, love that man so much!
For events other than your ceremony, please tell us as much as you would like about the decor, style, dances, and all the special details.
Sangeet we went with hues of yellow, orange, and red. Wanted to keep it vibrant and light with the music. It wasn't too formal and lots of Bollywood dancing!
For the Reception, we wanted to bring the rustic theme indoors with a custom-made wooden stage backdrop that had a hint of Indian flare. The tile was like a piece in the middle, white and green as accent color florals and dimly lit lanterns were all a part of the decor. Loved how that turned out!
Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
My words of wisdom - enjoy it as much as possible. I know it can be very stressful but just know it WILL zoom by. Listen to what you and your better half would like and be as organized as you can be! Label everything! And don't forget to enjoy and have fun with all the people that do attend from various walks of both of your lives. It's such a memorable and special weekend for the couple.

Mesmerizing Indian wedding celebrations every day!  Look for more inspiration tomorrow.

Los Angeles, CA South Indian Wedding by Balerinafilms

There is so much beauty in this South Indian wedding! We had to share all the magic surrounding Sneha and Vanya during their nuptial revelry! Photographed by wedding story-tellers Balerina Films and orchestrated by Events by Sepali this grand union was a series of impeccable celebrations, as you are about to see! The affair started with an intimate yet joyful Haldi ceremony, where the duo was pampered and rubbed with Turmeric. It was the perfect blend of tradition and fun. Afterward, they experienced "Wedding La La Land" at the magnificent Pacific Palm in Los Angeles. The superb hilltop location set against the majestic San Gabriel Valley Mountains served as the backdrop for their Sangeet photoshoot and Hindu ceremony. For her Sangeet function, Maharani Sneha's looked dazzling. She donned a lovely bridal mehndi, created by Henna by Amrin that complemented her beige lehenga choli with floral motifs! Just perfect for a sunny and gleeful event that the team of Surabhi Event Decor decorated. Her bridal looks were out of this world! She opted for a gorgeous pastel baby pink saree with striking tiny floral patterns that combined so well with her entourage's lehenga sets provided by Hey Saheli. Soon after, Saree Draping by Rupal styled and draped her one more time in a divine silk saree and green blouse. She resembled a goddess! Vanya surprised her bride by wearing an immaculate aesthetic sherwani design worth of any Maharaja. The ceremony set up was an enchanting creation overflowing with radiant florals and unique details thanks to Hello Kismet. After the I do's, an elegant indoor reception took place later at the Pacific Palm Resort, where the couple mingled with their nearest and dearest. Playa Mujeres, MX Indian Wedding by Federico Salmeron Photography

Maharanis, if you are still hunting for some inspiration for your special day on the beach. You must keep reading! Today we will take you to the idyllic Playa Mujeres in Cancun, Mexico. This paradise was the perfect scenario for Mahak & Pritam to begin their happily ever after! Their wedding celebrations were a dream from start to end, thanks to Indian Destination Wedding. They covered all the details and ensured an unforgettable experience for the couple and their guests. Planet Hollywood Cancun hosted a long list of events before this lovely pair tied the knot, which included a mehndi ceremony, a colorful beach Haldi, and an elegant Sangeet. Thankfully Federico Salmeron Photography captured every moment and immortalized all the fun and heart-melting moments. This lucky couple will surely enjoy their wedding album in the coming years! The ceremony was one for the books, thanks to the artistic decor and talent of Tulipania MX and Zuñiga Deco·Cancún. The wedding ceremony scenario was a vision of romance filled with roses and baby breath touches. But let´s not forget Maharani Mahak. Decked up in a red bridal lehenga by Nazranaa and in full glam thanks to Styling Trio, she was indeed the perfect Indian bride. The couple offered many beautiful events celebrating their love and culture. Nonetheless, their wedding reception is yet my favorite. A refined event at Planet Hollywood Cancun marked the end of the festivities and the start of their new life together. Kudos to the Pyaar Planning team for such an extraordinary job creating this wedding! Visit the gallery for a closer look at Mahak & Pritam´s special moments in Playa Mujeres.
