Jabalpur, India Indian Wedding by Face Digital Studio

Hello, darlings! We are excited to continue sharing Garima & Harshit's love story with you. And get ready, because these lovebirds' wedding ceremony is packed with inspiring ideas and fairy tale finery to admire. So without further due, let's jump right into it! Held at the five star Vijan Mahal, this wedding ceremony was full of traditions, colors, and above all, lots of love! OM Caterers crafted a fabulous decor that amazed everyone, and that seemed to take you back in time! The traditional Indian fabrics, the multi-colored floral arrangements, and the overall decor and design of this event were reminiscent of an ancient Indian palace. This winning combination enhanced the experience, taking this wedding ceremony to the next level! Both our lovebirds embraced a traditional style for their big day, and they ended up looking elegant and imposing! However, it was our gorgeous Garima that stole the night! She looked breathtaking in her traditional burgundy lengha embroidered with golden details. Rose Beauty Salon complemented this head-turning look with a sleek hairstyle and a discreet makeup using her big beautiful smile as the focal point. And the dazzling jewelry selection she rocked was the perfect touch of flair for an already impressive look. And in case you were wondering, the fine pieces of jewelry came from the fantastic collection of Prune and Rimaya House Of Bridal Jewellery. The final result: A dreamy look that exceeded all expectations! Without any question, this was the wedding ceremony Garima & Harshit always imagined. And thanks to the remarkable work of Face Digital Studio we get to enjoy this magnificent ceremony. If you can't get enough of this grand ceremony, head into our gallery for more details that will make your heart melt with joy.

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
We meet in PG college it was not like we feel in love at first sight or something, rather it was totally opposite i was willing to change my section because of him but as god must have already decided our destiny we remain in same section that to with consecutive roll no because of our name initial alphabets G and H. Then there were assignments and projects given to us as team we had lots of fight and interaction with each other, n we both didn't realized since when that arguments converted into the long lovely conversation when we started caring for each other so much but rest of the fellow class member realized it before we could do and then there were rumors about us and then one fine day someone said something about me and Harshit stood for me against those group of people that fine day we came to know that we are for each other how much we mean yo each other and he is the one with whom I would like to grow old...

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
My wedding planning was the most enthusiastic thing done by me and my sister, we wanted everything to be very personalized and should be connected with us so we did all by our self rather than herring someone for the job and trust me planning your own wedding will add more memories to it. we both were very clear regarding being very versatile with outfits decor theme n makeup, we didn't want to repeat the colors looks so we had word with all the artist as to what could be done

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
While we were planning the looks for my all wedding function we had a rough sketch that the sangeet would be a indowestetrn, haldi would be something cool n fun, mehndi would something comfortable, engagement would have a huge ball gown and finally, the day would be purely traditional

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
The most enjoyable part of planning was shopping because at that time we all were together, gossiping, chilling, travelling and who doesn't like all that glitters of wedding. I use to love all the wedding bells going round n round

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
The guest love the personalize efforts we have put in the wedding

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
Of-course the most special thing was that we were going to be together after so much of hurdles, as it took us one and half year to convenience our families for the marriage but rather than this seeing the happiness of my dads face keeps replaying in my mind

For events other than your ceremony, please tell us as much as you would like about the decor, style, dances, and all the special details.
It was everyone efforts and time that they have put in my wedding inspite of there busy life, specially my di n jeeju r the one who was there to put that special charm everywhere

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
Just enjoy everything that is the most precious time of life jut live it forget about rest of worries people will take care of it or things would fall in there place anyway. everyone gathered for you feel that special princess feel they are trying to give you.

We hope you are enjoying this wedding as much as we are, and make sure to stay close if you don't want to miss the upcoming wedding reception. You are going to love it!

Bensalem, PA Indian Fusion Wedding by Raj Photo Video

Welcome back, ladies! We arrive at the grand finale of this story with a fantastic wedding reception celebrating Aditi & Peter's marriage. Carefully designed by Posh Kreations LLC, this reception was the best way to bring the wedding festivities to an end. The combination of colors and the exceptional decor that Aisha’s Wedding Decor put together for this reception party helped make this event not just elegant, but delicate and exquisite. Without any question, this winning combination set the mood for this vibrant and memorable event. Looks by Jassi did a stellar job in the beauty department by dolling this Maharani up! Aditi ended up looking like royalty on her white dress while rocking a bewitching nude makeup that praised her natural beauty. And we can all agree that her radiance pops off the screen and fills your mind with inspiring makeup ideas! The newlyweds had their first dance as husband and wife and were adorable as they twirled and dipped on the dance floor. All the guests had a great time dancing and tasting the delicious plates that Moghul Mirage prepared for this gala. A cake designed by Isgro Pasticceria marked the end of the evening while leaving our mouths watering. This was most definitely an event to remember, and we have all the images by Raj Photo Video in our full gallery. So make sure to check it out because it gathers a bunch of jaw-dropping scenes that we are sure you are going to love!

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
Rickin and I met through Coffee Meets Bagel in August 2016. We finally had our first date in September 2016 and officially started dating in January 2017. I was in nursing school and super stressed out but he always made sure to make me his priority. On days I would have exams he would wake up at 5 am and come to the Grand Central from Jersey to take me to Brooklyn just to make sure I had breakfast before my exam. This ended up becoming a thing and right before one of my finals I was in the subway and the song Dil Mera by RDB came on and it hit me, he was the one! At our reception, he actually did a surprise performance to this song!

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
I lived in NY and he lived in NJ so in order to meet up we always met up at Grand Central Terminal. April 14 is his parents anniversary and his uncle’s birthday so he told me we would have a surprise party for them in the city. So we all dressed up and I went to the city with my parents, brother, and grandparents. And just like he always waited for me in Grand Central, he was there, only this time he had our close friends and family spell out “Will You Marry Me?” and all of the commuters that say behind him in anticipation (about 250+ people were crowded around). He brought me to the center of the Grand Concourse and dropped down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I always told him I would say no so I said “yea buddy” instead which he is known for saying!

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
Since my name is Ditiksha and my now husbands name is Rickin we came up with the hashtag RickSha, we a few ricksha themed details going on an entire day! When looking at venues, Tarrytown DoubleTree really stuck out to us because the venue had a different feel about it, once you enter it felt very rustic but in a chic way and we really enjoyed that! As far as our vendors go, we wanted to have a team we could fully trust! Karishma Mehta I’d Make Up by Karishma I’ve been eyeing her Instagram since 2012 when we first met, so I knew I definitely wanted her to get me glammed up on my big day! As for my Mehndi, being a henna artist myself I really wanted someone who would do a great job and something different, when I first started doing henna, Shilpa Sharma from Henna by Shilpa helped me out and gave me some amazing pointers and I’ve always admired her work! She was the first vendor I booked and she customized my henna for me so well! For decor, we heard outstanding reviews from friends and family about Wedding Design and Decor. When we first went to pick our mandap, Ravi showed us one that looked like a mahal and right away Rickin and I knew that was the one because we wanted traditional but with a twist of something more modern and unique. As for our outfits, we both had the same vision we sent pictures to our family who made it all possible! I really wanted a yellow off the shoulder outfit for my Sangeet and Rickin wanted a sophisticated blue outfit. For the wedding, we both wanted to do red and white. He wanted his to be simple with not too much going on and I wanted two dupattas and a splash of green to keep it traditional and tie it all together. For our reception look, I wanted to be shining head to toe and he wanted a custom made suit. We also had our catering from Bukhara Grill at the wedding and reception; the first time we tried their food we were blown away! They defiantly delivered their best and had a chocolate fountain set up for us! As for our DJ, Sagar Shah (DJ Tonic) we’ve been to several weddings over the years and he’s always packed out the dance floor, which is exactly what he did for ours too! He was very easy to work with and just knew the right tunes! Now to capture all of this we really wanted to pick the best photographers and videographers! We had John Martin Productions who has been amazing to work with. He did our pre-wedding shoot and he was just so easy and genuine to work with, he can make anyone look good! As for the videographer we were recommended by our good friends to Claudio of Cutting Desk Productions! He made the trip out from Florida and did an outstanding job! He and John were able to work so well with one another and make me and Rickin so comfortable on the most hectic day of our lives! Now to tie it all together we had Nadia Jagessar of Euphoria Events as our day-of coordinator. While every wedding had their hiccups, we were glad we had her and her team to help the day go by smoothly!

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
I always wanted mine to be red and white with just a dash of green to tie everything together. I actually did not even try on my dress until much later! My grandfather had gone to India and got me my bridal lehnga!

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
The most enjoyable part was going on little trips with Rickin to figure things out such as food tastings, cake tastings, venue visits, etc. With each little detail, the wedding came more to life and it started feeling more and more real!

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
The guests really loved the RickSha theme and the convertible ricksha we had for the Baraat and Vidaii! They also told us that the food and music definitely made the night! We also had popcorn boxes with our caricatures on them which also was an itinerary of the Hindu wedding ceremony, the guests said they enjoyed eating the popcorn but also loved following along with the wedding ceremony! During the cocktail hour we lined up toy rickshas, each toy ricksha was the table number for all of our guests. The kids and adults had a blast playing with their toy rickshas and said it was a unique twist to the traditional table seatings.

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
There are several! The one that stands out to me the most is when I walked down the aisle with my mamas, it was such an emotional time for me and I tried my best to hold back tears all up to the point when we reached the mandap and I looked up and the first person I saw was my brother and he was tearing up. He gave me a little nod and gave me the strength to go up to the mandap. Then the Anterpat was dropped and there was my groom waiting for me! It was the most surreal feeling ever!

For events other than your ceremony, please tell us as much as you would like about the decor, style, dances, and all the special details.
For our sangeet, I really wanted a colorful and fun atmosphere! For this, I had my family and friends decorate it! We had a swing from Wedding Design and Decor and the rest was very colorful with pink and orange everywhere! As for the music, DJ Tonic played Garba and Raas and towards the end played some good old Raghav, Jay Sean and all those songs from back in the day! For our Haldi ceremonies Rickin and I both had specific outfits we wanted to wear. He wanted a Biggie shirt, which is exactly what he wore during his Haldi and I wanted a dhoti sari by the designer Nikasha! We also had a few surprise dances during our reception! One included all of my cousins and my aunts and uncles, I jumped in halfway and then dragged Rickin up to the dance floor! Another surprise dance was done by Rickin and his cousins, he did dil mera (which mentioned earlier was a huge song for our relationship)!

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
While wedding planning is stressful, always remember to enjoy it no matter what. It’s easier said than done but soak it all in! On my wedding day I told myself I would not stress everything will work out... and it does! I can still close my eyes and remember the vibes, decor, emotions all of it and I’m so happy I took in those moments to soak it in!

Anything else you want to tell us? We'd love to hear all about your other details! (jewelry, mehndi, venue, cake, bouquets, etc.)
We had a few details I wanted to share! One as I mentioned earlier was the convertible ricksha for the baraat and vidaii (thanks to Rags to Rickshaw)! Another was these popcorn boxes we had custom made; one side was a caricature of us in our wedding outfits while the other sides served as the itinerary of the wedding and the bridal party. We filled these up with popcorn and chocolates for the guests to enjoy during the wedding; one was placed on each seat. For our table seatings, we decided to order toy rickshas and placed each guests name and table number on them. This kept the kids busy and the adults seemed to love playing with them too! As for my jewelry, I had a nose ring custom made from India which had a pop of green to highlight the small green border in my bridal lehnga! My Mehndi was also customized and it showcased our whole story! On my left arm, I had a ricksha with a bride and groom sitting inside, a stethoscope to represent my career in nursing and a traditional Hindu bride. On my right hand, I had the NYC skyline, a gavel to represent Rickin’s career as an attorney with the writing #TLinNY which stands for Top Litigator in NY (he goes around saying this to everyone) and a traditional Hindu groom. We also hid Rickin’s name in both English and Gujarati and he surprisingly found both! As for our cake, we had gotten it from Lulu’s in Westchester and it was to die for! We had 4 tiers with 4 different flavors ( carrot cake, red velvet, mudslide, and vanilla); it was white with a gold border and a few subtle flowers to match our background and outfits! I also wanted to mention our outfits for our bridal party! We had a huge bridal party of 15 groomsmen, 2 best men, 14 bridesmaids and 2 maids of honor. We had all of their outfits custom made from India and they all came out great! We went with a royal purple and gold theme! While we had red and white during the wedding, we followed through with the royal purple and gold theme for the evening which was great in contrast to our outfits; I had a blush peach and silver lengha and Rickin has a gray suit and blush peach tie! Another thing that was very important to us was our wedding garlands, my family friend hand made them for us with fresh flowers!

That is all for today! We hope you have a great weekend, and we are looking forward to seeing you on Monday.
