Jhakaas Entertainment's own DJ Mistry, better known today as Raja Mehul, has baraat'd his way over his Indian wedding ceremony at the Wekopa Resort & Conference Center with the help of the fabulous folks at KC's Classic Carriage Company. The Indian groom arrived via a storybook horse and buggy before hitching a ride in a more contemporary carriage — Maharaja style only a DJ can pull off! Sierra Blanco Photography captured these exquisite highlights from Mehul and Sonia's incredible ceremony, where the decor was a rich mix of deep reds and glowing marigolds. Mehul's blushing Indian bride was the picture of Princess perfection as she made her way down the aisle in a red and white lengha and it's clear to see she can't wipe the smile off of her face, and neither can we! Maharani Sonia, on her and Mehul's wedding style:

"Mehul’s dream was to have a modern style wedding. From the Sangeet, to the Baraat, and to the ceremony and the reception, his vision came true with every detail. The Sangeet had bright colors, a contemporary swing on stage and a white dance floor, the Baraat had a horse and carriage, along with some horsepower in the bright red Audi R8. The ceremony had a draped Mandap, a raised aisle, and pattern monograms."

Caitlin and Srikanth are on their way to the mandap to tie the knot, and Style & Story Creative has captured every impressive moment from the Indian groom's baraat to the newlyweds' portraits in beautiful detail. Joie de Vivre Events planned this fabulous Indian fusion event at the Hilton Columbus Downtown, and we are head over heels for the main event's extraordinary highlights! Maharani Caitlin arrived in her vibrant saffron-colored bridal sari and was presented with an elegant cream, burgundy, green and gold one to say I do in, and she looked phenomenal in both. These heart-skipping highlights from her and Raja Sri's South Indian ceremony are too stunning to handle, and that wedding portrait of them is a true delight! Maharani Caitlin, on her wedding style:

"I started out thinking I wanted a coral mandap and gold accents. It turns out there are a million shades of coral. With lots of guidance from our decorator, we agreed on a peach/gold/white palette. The color I actually loved was peach."

On what she enjoyed most about planning her Desi dream wedding:

"My husband did 75% of the hard work and he let me do all the fun tasks!"

On help from family and friends:

"Our aunties, uncles, and family friends came together and made sure everything went smoothly and that all of the parts of the wedding were done properly. I don't know how anyone would have a wedding like this without at least eight aunties in the background handing the priest what he needs and helping me change clothes and jewelry."

Donning a sensationally citrus-y wedding sari in saffron and deep orange tones, Caitlin is looking like a true-to-life Desi dream. Maharani Caitlin, on Raja Sri's unforgettable proposal:

"We were in Cape Town, South Africa, for vacation, just the two of us. We had only been dating for 9 months. The first day of the vacation, we went for a hike on a mountain called Lion's Head. He asked me to stop for a second at a bench that had a great view of the Atlantic. While I was distracted with our camera, he got down on one knee and proposed! We celebrated for the rest of the trip."

On her wedding hair and makeup:

"I worked with my makeup artist to get the right look, I sent her my engagement photos and explained why I wasn't happy with my makeup in those. I tried some updos and braids since that's what I see other brides wearing, but I decided that wearing my hair down and curled is my style and what I'm comfortable with so I did that for the mehendi, wedding, and reception and I'm so glad!"
