Ontario, CA Indian Wedding by Peter Nguyen Studio

Hello, beautiful Maharanis! We are excited to bring you an insight into the wedding reception of Purvi & Vishal. This was a night to remember! The romance and elegance were present in the halls of the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Ontario Airport, in the form of a beautiful decoration in blue and gold that Nika Events in conjunction with B Unique & Elegant put together for this event. It is an incredible combination of colors that we can't stop admiring. All the guests enjoyed this unique and elegant event, while the vibrant and versatile Fusion Sounds' DJ played the perfect melodies to keep up with the different activities that were taking place and to liven up every moment of the evening. One of the most anticipated moments of the evening took place when our lovebirds had their first dance as husband and wife. All of the guests were anxiously waiting for this moment and it did not let anyone down! Everyone in the room was having the time of their lives, but the evening drew to a close when Purvi & Vishal cut the first wedding cake slice. Undoublty this was a fascinating reception and we are lucky that every moment of it got captured thanks to the remarkable talent of Peter Nguyen Studio. If you want to take a deeper look at this magnificent ceremony, don't miss the gallery that we have prepared for today and get that imagination going!

How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
We were introduced to each other by his sister. He got my phone number and we talked for 7 hours that night. The next day he booked a flight out to meet me and from that connection from our first date, we knew it was meant to be.

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
Vishal told me he was on call at the hospital so I would not call him and my best friend, Tamanna, told me she needed girl time so she wanted to hang out with me and do brunch in the morning. Vishal then took a late night flight out to California and spent the night at a hotel in Orange County. In the morning, he bought flowers and laid them out in the shape of a heart on Crystal Cove beach. My friend then took me to the brunch spot on the beach and I see Vishal out of the corner of my eye next to big heart shaped flower petals on the sand. I immediately curse him out and walk towards him. He asks me to marry him. My parents and other friend are on the side videotaping everything.

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
My best friend, Tamanna, helped a lot throughout the process. She is very organized and made me excel spreadsheets to help guide me through the process.

The Venue has never done a full on indian wedding and they kept changing things they said they would do originally. Would not recommend Doubletree Ontario.

Hair and Makeup: LuLu was great and very professional, she was always on time and does great work

Outfits: I loved all my outfits, they were all from India and my foi helped do last minute alterations

Decor: This took the most amount of time, I spent a lot of time picking colors and centerpieces. Everything turned out well.

DJ: Krish from FusionSounds was amazing and did an amazing job with lighting, dhol, and DJ. He played all the music my husband loved. I would recommend him to everyone.

Food: Mantra catered garba and reception, Sumit is very professional and gave great food and service. Swaminarayan mandir did the wedding, the food was good but they increased their price last minute during the event without letting us know.

Photography: would not recommend Peter Nguyen. His team was great, but he himself gets distracted very easily and you have to actively tell him what photos to take. He did not get any pictures of the food and during the events instead of taking photos, he was wandering around. His team members though are very focused and captured the best photos. He also promised to give us our video by March 27 and documentary edit by May 4 and still have not received anything.

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
I went shopping in India and had my foi and cousins help me. We went to several shops and I had red in my mind. It was very hard to shop in India, but I ended up falling in love with a red wine colored lehenga. As soon as my cousins saw it on me, they instantly said this was the one. It did take a couple days to find it and I almost settled on another one.

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
Spending time with family for the different parts of the process. I got to spend lots of time with my cousins from India, who I rarely get to see because they are so far away.

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
They loved the entertainment at the reception and the food from Mantra during garba and reception.

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
Our first dance, we recreated the Hero No. 1 song Sona kitna Sona and had the original music video playing on the projector.

Piscataway, NJ Indian Wedding By Saroj Studios

Hello, Maharanis! Are you ready to join Sneha & Nisrag at their wedding reception? If you are like us, you must be really excited to check it out, so lets jump right into it! This fantastic wedding reception, that was hosted in one of the dance halls of the distinguished Deewan Banquet, matched the elegant and traditional tone that has characterized this entire wedding. Once again, Events by Srishti amazed us with an incredible and on-point decoration! The beautiful and impressive wall full of white, creamy, and baby pink flowers created a romantic and perfect background that was delightfully complemented with the delicate lighting and the chandelier on the room. It was a perfect scenario, for this dreamy and perfect night! All the guests enjoyed the evening and danced the night out to the rhythm of Dj Sunny Entertainment who was the one in charge to set the musical mood for this wonderful reception. The smiles, the emotions, and the good atmosphere did not stop throughout the whole evening; it was a great night that was coming to an end when the newlyweds had the first cut at the cake. Definitely, we do not want this post to end because this reception was captivating and inspiring, but even though this story is getting to the end, you can always relive all the moments by visiting today's gallery, and we want to make a special shoutout to Saroj Studios for making this possible! Cancun, Mexico Indian Fusion Wedding by Morgan Lynn Photography

Good morning, Maharanis! Are you ready to venture on a trip to the beach? Today, we will take a trip to the paradisiac landscapes of Cancun, Mexico so that we can join Salima & Awaiz at their wedding celebration. We will start this journey in the best possible way, with a romantic and breathtaking photo shoot of the couple during their beautiful sangeet, where our dazzling bride wore a majestic hand-worked maroon lehnga that left me in complete awe. With the majestic sea in the background, and with the sunset providing the best possible lighting to make shine, even more, the love of this young couple, Salima & Awaiz could not have asked for a more perfect scenario for a secon photo session. And thanks to the talent and effort of Morgan Lynn Photography we can enjoy and be part of these special moments. They both looked incredibly happy, relaxed and in love, creating an atmosphere so spontaneous that more than a photo shoot, it seems that we are looking at the pages of one of the most beautiful love stories of all times. We are amazed by the hair and makeup combo that Styling Trio created for Salima and the fabulous mehndi art that Lemons & Mehndi by Styling Trio outlined in her arms and legs, and how well it combined with the outfit she selected for this session. They definitely took the concept of a beach photo shoot to the next level! We are pretty sure that you are loving this journey, and this is just the beginning. We still have much more of this beautiful celebration on the beach! If you want to be splashed with more details of this sweet and romantic story, you cannot miss our next posts! Meanwhile, you can take a peek at the gallery that we have prepared for you. You will love it!

Naperville, IL Indian Wedding by Le Cape Weddings

Hello, Maharanis! We are back to unveil the vibrant and stylish wedding reception of Rina & Mana. For this installment, we will be joining our lovebirds in one of the fabulous and spacious ballrooms of the majestic and striking Chicago Marriott Naperville. Rina looked astonishing on her beautifully crafted blue attire with golden accents that perfectly matched with Mana's dark slate blue suit. We are loving that exquisite and modern style! All the guests had the time of their lives while the talented DJ from Shaadi Entertainment played the perfect melodies to liven up this marvelous event. We also want to make a special mention to the delightful selection of flowers that Dream Occasions used to create bouquets of wondrous beauty and sweetness that enlighten the ballroom. Definitely, a dreamy atmosphere that could only be overtaken by the impressive scene that was created when Rina & Mana had the first cut at the cake and that we get to relieve thanks to the lens of Le Cape Weddings; truly, an outstanding work to capture all the perfect moments of this event. The night was getting closer to the end, but it was not going to be over without our lovebirds having their first dance as husband and wife. This was such an anticipated event that did not anyone down! All the guests witnessed this romantic and well-choreographed scene that will be forever be recalled. The wedding storyteller, Sephi Bergerson Photography joined the couple during their 7-day wedding adventure in Africa and documented the celebrations we are about to show you! The Munyonyo Commonwealth Resort worked as the official wedding headquarters and here the newlyweds welcomed their loved ones with a fantastic African-theme party that showcased tons of amazing elements such as two giant giraffes. After a few other traditional events, a vivacious outdoor sangeet was next on the list! How did you meet your Groom and when did you know he was "the one"?
We met through a mutual friend and started dating in 2013.

Share the scoop on your Proposal Story!
Andrew My husband picked me up from the station after work and was taking me home to have dinner with my parents. When we pulled up to the house, the whole garden was lit up with lights, candles and roses. Andrew got down on one knee and proposed and told me he is taking me to New York the next day.

Tell us how you went about planning your wedding, and your overall experience with the Venues, Hair & Makeup, Outfits, Decor Theme, and all of the other important details.
I always wanted a destination wedding and it was my dads dream that I got married in his place of birth Uganda. We were very lucky that a good family friend of ours Sudhir Ruparelia owned a beautiful report in Kampala called Munyonyo Commonwealth Resort. Both mine and Andrews family travelled to Uganda to see the venue and start planning the wedding in May 2017. As soon as we got there we loved the resort and knew we wanted to get married there. Sheena Ruparelia, the daughter of Sudhir Ruparelia had experience in planning hers and her sister wedding at the resort and took the role of our wedding planner. We worked with her for most of the year on themes, entertainments, décor, food and drinks. Having a wedding in Uganda meant that anything was possible, we made sure each event had a different theme and Sheena and her team pulled out all the stops for each event. We did take a few suppliers from the UK which included our DJ Ravi Dattani part of RV sounds who had the party going every day, My make up artist - Sophia Aafreen would did an amazing job on not only my hair an make up but also my mum and sisters, and we had brilliant live singers come in from Kenya - Sodhi and team. Cake was done by Mira Marsani based in Uganda.

How did you select your bridal lengha or wedding dress? Did you have a favorite color in mind?
The easiest part of the wedding planning was actually my outfits, my talented sister Sona Jivraj, owner and designer of Sonas Haute Couture created all 7 of my outfits along with Andrews clothes, and all our immediate family clothes. Sona has been in the business for over 10 years and has an amazing eye for what is in fashion and what suits every individual. She listened to all the ideas I had and made each outfit to perfection, her quality and design is definitely top of the range. Sonas clothes were complimented by Red dot jewels Jewellery, Tarun Thalani Jewellery and Amrapali Jewellery.

What was the most enjoyable part of the planning process, and why?
I loved planning the theme and décor for each event, as I mentioned there was not limit to what could be done in Uganda and the Ruparelia team made it all possible. I was able to be very creative with each event and make them all very unique.

What did your guests particularly love about your Wedding?
I think they loved everything, the resort, the weather, the food and of course spending a week with family and friends.

Was there a really special moment in your wedding that constantly replays in your mind?
I would say when all the guests started arriving, we had African drummers playing as all guest started arriving from all over the world. It was so nice to see everyone and the excitement on their faces.

For events other than your ceremony, please tell us as much as you would like about the decor, style, dances, and all the special details.
We had 7 events which were all very different:
1 - welcome party which was an African themed party, we had Africans drummers, singers and dancers, traditional African food and amazing African  décor.
2 - Pithi - traditional pithi ceremony beautifully decorated with pink and orange colours
3- Sangeet -rajasthani theme event which an mind blowing set, I came in on a dholi which all my brothers were carrying, we had various dances and speechs at this event and Sodhi the singer from Kenya.
4 - indian wedding - set by lake Victoria, with a red rose mandup. The ceremony was not a traditional indian wedding and was carried out by my cousin Sawan Gandesha, it was personal, meaningful and entertaining.
5 - pool party - this was a Ibiza themed pool party. everyone was wearing white , Andrew and I came in on a boat. We had massage ladies, a live band and music on till early ours in the morning.
6 - civil ceremony - this was in a stunning location in the resort over looking the lake.
7 - reception - this was by the pool, it was decorated with white roses, candles and was a very romantic setting. we had a lovely fire work display, speeches, and a great DJ playing till early hours in the morning

Do you have any words of wisdom for Brides-To-Be?
Have a destination wedding

Anything else you want to tell us? We'd love to hear all about your other details! (jewelry, mehndi, venue, cake, bouquets, etc.)
